    Veggie Grilled Cheese

I love this model for an eatery/grocery. It reminds me of Billie's Grocery, a place we enjoy in KC. It was perfect for a low key lunch while also providing some great snacks and drinks to load up on to get us through the rest of our day. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks plus so many snack and food options. They've really got you covered! The sandwich was DELICIOUS. I went with the veggie grilled cheese and it was cooked beautifully and so flavorful. Definitely hit the spot. The staff was very nice and the interior is very chill and inviting. We really enjoyed it.

Convient if you're downtown to get stuff & you wanna be bougie. Because yeah the prices! Well, it is downtown & you are in America. See, I really judge places like this HARD in comparison against back home in Germany or The Netherlands where it's not necessary to gouge people that just need to run to the store & grab snacks. Because there are stores all over European cities & they do not have $8 chicken salad, or $3 snack bags of chips, or $4 bottles of water - again because you're downtown. I just cannot wrap my head around the absolute audacity of this capitalist behavior in America sometimes. Maybe it's other stuff weighing down right now. But, it is a cute little expensive Bodega. I did find some Cheetos I'd been looking for (the $3 bag), and the tarragon chicken salad was (from Austin) was tasty (& $8), then I got a little packet of mini bread to eat the salad with & they cost $2.79. Which I was fine with because I was actually surprised they had them. The Bodega has a good selection of wines & a ridiculous selection of waters - seriously go look! It's a nice little place. The employees are very helpful & kind. I got a brown sugar chai, & man was it really really good! Not bad for the price either. Take a look at their sandwiches as well, they looked good. If you have a per diem, stop in - it's a cute place to drop an easy $25 on snacks!

Such a cute little grocery store / coffee spot right in the middle of downtown. The vibe is super nice with shelves full of snacks and drinks. I got the Cuban sandwich and a vanilla matcha and wow that Cuban was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The matcha was also really good way better than I expected. Overall, super satisfied with everything and the prices were pretty average too which surprised me since it's downtown. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

The Royal Blue Grocery is a very cute and small cafe + grocery that carries all of your snacking needs. As the name states, it is also grocery store, so you can pick up milk, eggs, and any other item you need. There are a few seats in the front of the store and some more outside. The interior is very inviting; they have shelves that sell store merch and other items from other local stores and creators. The workers looked cool, and were very nice and helpful! The vibe was very relaxed too. I have been here once before, I got the veggie melt last time as well. This time around, I came here with my sister and mom, so we all got a veggie melt and a drink. My mother got an iced coffee, my sister got a Naked mango smoothie, and I got a Martinelli's apple juice. We added 2 pumps of vanilla syrup and half-and-half to the iced coffee, which my mom said tasted good. The veggie melt was amazing as usual! They make the sandwiches in front of you, so that was pretty cool too. I am not entirely sure what goes into that sandwich, but it is so good! It's not heavy, there's a lot of filling, and it comes with a dipping sauce that makes it 100x tastier! I don't know what type of seasonings are in the sandwich, but adding the spicy dipping sauce makes it taste like a really good margherita pizza. Overall, I love this grocery, their veggie melt, and the vibe!

Luvvv this place. In town for a conference and it's super close to my hotel, was looking for a later night snack/drink. They have a large variety of items, and even fresh coffee/tea drinks & hot food. They have BANANA MATCHA and it is genuinely the best matcha I have ever had. I've gone every day for a little something just because the selection is so great. Also grabbed a hot sandwich - the Cuban as recommended by one of the employees and it was delish. Cute small space that is utilized well! Will plan to come every day until I head home, highly recommend!

I love RBG! It's a great little sanctuary from the grimy hot streets of downtown SA to take a break, get a snack / drink / meal. I'll usually walk in for a slice of (WonderSlice Bianca!) pizza and check out the cute gifts or muse over the varieties of candies & chocolates they offer. Everyone is friendly and it doesn't take long to get helped. The lunch hour can be a little busy, but I think it's one of the best quick and tasty options for the area.

I was in San Antonio attending a work conference at the Convention Center. I always make a point to start my mornings at local coffee shops when out of town. Royal Blue Grocery is located in the Savoy building in downtown San Antonio. Founded in Austin, Royal Blue Grocery is a modern urban grocery whose offerings are responsive to the community it serves. It features Stumptown Coffee Roasters and East Side Pies in its coffee bar/deli and locally sourced, unique grocery, convenience, and gourmet grab-and-go products. Its hot sandwiches are freshly prepared, and the San Antonio store has an impressive wine wall. Royal Blue Grocery is not your typical bodega and has a cozy, inviting feel with plenty of natural light. Limited seating is available both inside and outside the store, but all seats are great for people-watching. Customer service is very solid and definitely more coffee shop-like than corner store. The coffee was great, and I plan to try their prepared items during my next trip to San Antonio.

Had the cubano sandwich and it was pretty tasty, good size and reasonably priced. Service was nice and pleasant.

I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!

It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'.
