Tried 2 new TJ items today. I don't usually like or buy candy but the TJ flyer made the Strawberry Fields Gummy Candy too good to resist. They are sweet little gems that would be perfect to decorate a cake or cupcakes or just to snack on when you want a little sugar hit. I also got the Korean style Bimbim-Guksu from the refrigerator case but be aware if you are buying it for a picnic or lunch at work, the dressing is at the bottom of the container and there is no way you can distribute the dressing evenly without dumping the contents into a large bowl. That said the noodle salad was fresh and delicious and the dressing was very flavorful. Always like coming to this location of Trader Joe's. It's a large store, staff at the checkout is polite and helpful. Ample parking available right outside. We are fond of some specific frozen food items and a few types of breads, chips too. Have always found them without fail. The fruits and veggies are fresh. read more

I really dislike going to Trade Joe's on santa Rosa Ave. The people working there stocking the shelves block isles and products while talking with each other instead of working. I watched a girl stand and talk about her life while she was supposed to be working. She very slowly broke down the box while she told her life story to a girl that was supposed to be stocking the shelves, of course the girl had to stop working to listen to her coworkers story. I as the customer have to go around them and the boxes or reach over them or just not get the items I need that they are blocking. I have witnessed 2 workers put up canned beans right next to each other. The same beans . According to management they encourage this. One manager named Ken said they like work to be fun. Excuse me , but this is work and people want to get in and out of the store as quickly as possible. Not wait for store employees to wait until their coworkers finish their conversation about their weekend plans or boyfriend problems and block the isle. Work is a job . They should use brake times to chat not get in customers way. We are paying alot for groceries these days and seems like Trader Joe's is waisting money our money when employees are not working efficiently and just treating work as a place to socialize. read more

12 ounce bacon is 5 ounces of fat. It seems the quality of Trader Joe's product has dropped. Beside avoiding all dairy such as cream that expires after a few days and most meats because it has way too much added water, we now have bacon with 45% fat. read more

SCW and I stopped into Trader Joe's in Santa Rosa while on our way to our hotel in Windsor. This Trader Joe's is laid out like the others that I've been too, fresh stuff around the ends and the rest in the middle. The aisles here seemed a bit wider than some Trader Joe's which was nice as the store was pretty busy. We got some food for the hotel fridge as well as some wine. The salads are fresh and I was a bit surprised how much fresh spinach was packed into my spinach bowl. The wine selection is pretty decent with some local options at good prices. The only downside I saw was the interior seemed like it needed a bit more attention to cleanliness. Granted we were there during a busy time but more attention needs to be paid to keeping everything clean. The service was great. I'll certainly be back given the chance. read more

Just to add to the lady who was talking about entitlement by employees... This is 100% true every time I go in there. Today someone named Dennis told me that he could not move the metal cart in front of me so that I could put my things down on the pull-out shelf until he was ******completely******* done with the order. Because he did not want to twist his back.Ummmmmmmm. you are not stationary you are allowed to move your feet towards the cart then put the bags in. Also moving the cart would not have impacted his back at all... If he would have lined it up instead of blocking the pull-out shelf he actually would have had more surface area to put the bags in if he couldn't figure out how to move his feet to save his back. This guy is a liability to the store in more than one way. I have never had anybody ringing me up at this trader Joe's purposely block that shelf. He was so obvious about it too... I guess he can't get power anywhere else. This behavior is unacceptable and he should not be at the front. The truth is he just didn't want to move it. And I wouldn't have even asked to put my things down if he could work and talk at the same time. He said he didn't want to twist his back and I suggested that moving it 2 in so that I could put my things down wouldn't impact his back at all. In fact he could move it completely to the right hand side have no back issues and the customer waiting to put their things down. But no, I was told I should have gotten a cart. Hmmm mmmmmmm. And when I asked him to call a manager over because of his behavior he told me to walk over there myself. The truth is he just didn't want to let anybody use that and he was blocking it on purpose and I guess I picked up on it and challenged him and he was mad about it. Trader Joe's is always a positive experience! I was in the neighborhood today and stopped in mid-morning, nervous that I'd hit the lunch rush but eager to grab a few treats quickly. The registers are always well-staffed and the lines move efficiently so I gave it a try. I stopped in for a few items, but as always, left with a few bags full of groceries...and a smile on my face! My haul included: -2 beautiful orchid plants -sweet potatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, shallots (why are TJ's shallots SO much cheaper than those I see at all of the other nearby markets?) -steak for my guy -raw almonds and nut mixes for me -canned beans -miso ginger broth -lentils -cheese on cheese on cheese I really appreciate that the store is well-stocked and well-staffed, and the staff are always so genuinely friendly and warm. We all/I LOVE Trader Joe's, wait.... who doesn't?! Last day of our vacation and I needed to get the Trader J. goods in The other half mentioned he will take me to the Santa Rosa location since we were going to be here for half the day. As soon as I saw the red huge Trader sign from the parking lot, I was excited . I loved seeing all the fresh tulips, flowers plants section at front of store. This Trader Joe's store is huge, organized and very busy! I love the nice decor promoting the new items. I first browse the produce section, my favorite section. I like to browse and wish I could bring some of the products back. My most favorite items is the pre-cut bag of butter lettuce. I love butter lettuce and pre-cut makes my salad prepping so simple! Only $2.49 per bag. Loved the teeny tiny avocados, perfect size, bag of 6 for only $2.99. After filling up my cart, and getting few of my siblings and family request, I had to get out of Trader quick as I don't have much luggage space this visit and may end up with more goods and spending more money, I have to go check out fast! Hehe. All of the register were long, I think it was the President's day holiday so I can see it is busy! I had to have 3 different transactions, since one is my purchase and the other 2 family members. Sorry for the confusion on where to start and stop with the transactions. During this visit, I got the salsa with ghost peppers, tortilla chips with lime, and peach/mango can wines to try in our room. OMG. they were all so good and that salsa was super SPICY!! Growing up in So Cal, Trader Joe's has been my go-to for a long time. The Santa Rosa South Store is great, not too big, not too small, lots of parking, and in a shopping center with lots of other stores and good options. Staff are very helpful and nice. I was in a bind with stores not carrying certain flowers or green filler for corsage. This was my last shot before going to silk. I walked up to the variety of roses and spray roses outside and was giddy. There was actually a florist that was my angel. She helped me look for certain flowers and put together colors. Our Trader Joe's is a perfect spot for us to shop for groceries for 2. Lots of proteins packages of 2 steaks, chicken and smaller portions sides dishes, like the risotto with asparagus this side dish can be a main it's that good. They have their own candy their chocolate peanut butter cups wayyy better then Reese's cups! Do not forget to buy some chocolate croissants because they are too dang delicious. Also they have a fairly good selection of wine with fantastic price tags, always worthy of your time to take a peek and grab a bottle or 2. You can tell he's a great human being. I've been a loyal customer of tj's for years, 30+ to be exact. Today, was the first day I was ever unhappy with tj's. I commonly host home events and have my assistant purchase items for us to spoil our guests with including a very large charcuterie TABLE (see photos). We had about $50 worth of items that weren't used, canned items, boxed cheese and wine. Darrel, the new captain, stated he was willing to refund some items but then created a C.A. Law that outlined the returns of alcohol and then declined any of our returns, which by law states, " California: Per state law, alcohol returns can only be accepted if the product is spoiled or otherwise unfit for consumption, or purchased in error." We purchased in error along with some canned items that his ego ultimately caused us to have a poor experience. The Petaluma store is always so welcoming and understanding, I think Santa Rosa has some growing to do. read more

Trader joe's, particularly this location, has always been my happy place. I go in for a bit of cheese and come out with two baskets full of exciting surprises. They exceeded themselves the other day, however. I was having a miserable day, but thank you to the policeman who didn't ticket me. Shared that with the charming Joelle at checkout. I visit this location about 3-5 times a week. I love their many employees always around and Available to help, with a smiling face and always friendly. Everyone is so personable. Sometimes the line to enter the store wraps around towards Bev Mo, however it moves oh so swiftly. This store is always clean and stocked. This TJ's location is run and operated like a well-tuned German train station. Always clean, nothing out of place and a highly mannered staff always willing to help. Unfortunately, I mostly avoid this store because of its entitled clientele - especially during the #trumpplague. And my last visit was no different. There was no 6 feet of social distancing and masks were half-crocked off of mouths and noses. Santa Rosans need to clean up their act - TJ employees are NOT on your personal payroll.
