I didn't buy anything here but this place is actually really neat for the random things you can get in here. From jewelry (unique pieces) to old cameras, coins and even guns, they have a lot to look through in that small room. Everyone is really kind and ready to answer questions and helpful. I just left here and was helped by Michael while looking at some rings. I tried on way more than I intended to, and he was so patient with me. I was getting annoyed with my own self, usually it's not like me to try on so many things but they had such a nice selection. Very bad experience here. I bought a Louis Vuitton bag, and within a little time, it was stolen. I was literally followed, and I've filed a police report. It makes me wonder if there was some kind of tracker on it--very unsettling. I also had gold coins pawned, and was told (as is common) that there's a 30-day grace period after the due date. When I came back to pay today, I was told it's only 10 days and now I'd have to buy them back at market price. That's not what I was told or what's typical--feels misleading. Honestly, I can't help but wonder if this had something to do with my race. The way I was treated didn't feel right at all. I won't be returning, and I'd warn others to be cautious. read more

What an insulting place to do business with. I brought in a very valuable diamond ring which has a GIA report (details upfront) and the staff all clamored around my diamond ready to remove it from my sight. They refused to give me an offer without taking my ring to the back. They took it to the back, came back to me with an extremely low offer to the point of probably not even a crackhead would accept (Maybe they cater to thieves who take anything?) In the end that felt super Duper shady because I provided them the diamond GIA report which showed low color grade diamond, yet they came back after putting on a pony show taking my diamond to the back. I don't even know if this was done as a scam to take my valuable diamond. Now they claim it is worthless based off the GIA report yet they refused to offer anything based off the GIA report which I had provided before they took my valuable diamond to the back. I really think they could do better maybe at one point this was respectable but as of right now they used tactics of manipulation and intimidation on me. It seems like a business built on taking advantage of people who may be in vulnerable situation. Either way they were not upfront nor treated me respectfully when I asked them to not take it back they harped on their $9000 diamond testing equipment. This is my favorite go to Store. Polite, respectful and got all the Ammo and a small but well thought off selection of hand guns. After 8 years of wanting one i found a FN 5.7 that I know I be in love with. Better yet, I got it all out the door for about $1400 !! Less than the cheapest I could find online. These guys means business and knows how to make you the gratitude they have to have your business!! Remember California strict gun laws are not their fault and background are important. I just wish I could own a 20 clip and a silencer but until our politicians agree, I may have neither. The price I pay for choosing to live where my hearts at, California ! I walked into the store with a friend of mine that had to make a payment. While he was taking care of business I started looking at the handguns they had. The selection was small but good. I found a CZ 75 that I have wanted for some time. There asking price was a little higher than a local large chain retailer. I discussed the price with the manager and they matched the price. On top of that being the type of store they are they let me make payments. Every time I have been in to make a payment I have been greeted with a smile and a warm hello. **Revision: 8-28-20 So after 5 star reviews and a half a dozen purchases for thousands of dollars, They tell me they are no longer doing LayAway purchases. And they raised their prices higher than MSRP. My LayAway purchases were ALWAYS paid way before the allotted time given. But because sales are up during the covid crisis they have changed their policy and raised their prices. I guess they don't need my business anymore. The gun I was going to purchase was not a handgun at all, it was a rifle so your excuses about a thirty day waiting period between purchases wouldn't even apply. 2. There was no one else wanting or waiting to purchase that firearm at that time, so your line about "Holding guns for someone would be unfair" is lame at best, in that retail sales are always first come first serve, this was not an auction. 3. The "appreciation" you showed to me for accessories purchased as gratitude for my thousands of dollars in previous purchases was a bad joke in that you gave me no better discount than you give any military person off the street making a purchase, and I'm military too! 4. You raised your prices above retail, because you can get away with it due to increased gun sales, not your inability to obtain them. I'm surprised in your dishonesty just to CYA regarding my honest review. They also took the time to help me figure out the proper resources to obtain the proper documents needed to purchase a firearm as I have a California ID with Federal limits. Traders has been my go to FFL for all firearm and ammo transfers for a couple of years now and I live 20 miles away in Santa Monica. Their customer service is fantastic. They're warm and friendly and responsive. The manager Tori is always helpful with all the small details and her staff are very efficient, expertly navigating through the myriad steps that come with transferring a firearm, or ammo purchase. Their prices are competitive with other dealers but you don't get any of the attitude I've encountered. It's a dry, dull process in which you can't make any mistakes and the folks at Traders never make me feel like it's a pain in the ass. I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates efficiency and friendliness when doing business. read more

I've been a customer of Traders Loan & Jewelry since 1999, I truly enjoyed seeing the family working together in this family business. I have purchased many rings and a few watches from Traders in the past years, always had excellent customer service. I remember seeing a sign back in the day that read, "don't spend $20 on a $2 problem" I quote this to my employees all the time. anyway, Today I stopped in to get a battery for my simple Swiss Army rubber watch ( I am going Kayaking this weekend and need a water resistant watch). This is the same watch I have brought in several years ago for battery replacement. The store was very busy, I did not recognize any of the employees, I was told I may have to leave the watch, however, the lady who attended me went to check. She returned to advise me they did not have the tool to open my watch, rather than argue, I just left the store. I understand that a watch battery is a small sell, compared to the other transactions that are going on in the store. What the current employees seem to be missing is that this small sale could have been for a loyal customer who may have spent thousands in the past. I believe that Traders did not want to replace my watch battery for a $12 sale when they have more lucrative sales on the floor. I believe in supporting neighborhood businesses, as a Reseda resident since 1999.I am saddened that I don't know if I will return to Traders as I felt their new business model has lost sight of the customer. read more
