    Not gonna lie This…read morewas one of quickest and most pleasant home service calls I've ever had. My AC went down on Saturday. I called Pride Mechanical on Sunday and left a message on their non emergency voicemail. They called me first thing Monday morning, and we set up an appointment for a timeframe that worked with my fairly busy schedule for that day. Really convenient. Got a text saying they were on their way about 5 minutes after the 3 hour appointment window started. They were at my home in like 20 minutes after receiving the text. The inside of my house was kind of messy, but they didn't even need to come inside. They were able to go straight to my units and start their diagnostics less than 3 minutes after arriving at my home. Within about 15 minutes they had successfully figured out and fixed the problem. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was very grateful and impressed. The technicians were polite, friendly (and not aggressively friendly if you know what I mean), and did a great job discussing my HVAC system and answering my questions without getting overly technical or insulting my intelligence by being overly basic. As AC repair experiences go, this was the best I've ever had. The speed of service and professionalism was first class all the way.

Jorge and Brian have been…read moreperforming routine maintenance on my unit for the last few years, after I initially called Chesapeake Heating & Air Conditioning because my 1-year-old unit was blowing warm air, and I thought it had already died or had a major Freon leak. Brian walked in, took a look at the unit and said he knew EXACTLY what the problem was five seconds later. He saw the float valve was popped up on the drainage tube (which I didn't even realize was something I needed to be on the lookout for ). He cleaned out the drainage tube and the rest of the unit for good measure, and I appreciated both the quick assessment, resolution, and education he gave me on maintenance during that visit. I signed up for their twice-yearly maintenance package that day, and I've been a happy subscriber ever since. Jorge has come to do the maintenance the last couple of times, and he is thorough and equally as knowledgeable as Brian. When he had a concern about the air flow coming out of one of the vents, he was quick to volunteer to crawl under the house to take a look at the duct work, and I really appreciated his honest assessment of it. The insulation is starting to fall down and wear out, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I could save up a few more years before the ductwork would probably actually need full replacing, and he gave me a ballpark figure based on the square footage and number of vents in my house, so I can plan accordingly. Much appreciated!! A company that employs people with such knowledge and integrity is a company that will have my business for decades to come. Their twice-yearly maintenance for heating and air conditioning is easily one of the best (and surprisingly affordable!) investments I make each year. Worth every penny!

Michael arrived, did troubleshooting, and gave me a recommendation as well as the quote. 2 weeks later, I was ready and scheduled the repair for Michael to come out and fix it. I was skeptical at first as this was my first time dealing with HVAC, but wow! Michael was able to even out the airflow to all bedrooms, while living room downstairs was still pumping out cold air. Solution: Simply reducing downstairs ducting from a 14" to 12". Extremely satisfied with his work and if I have any issues, I'll call them again. For anyone with HVAC concerns, stop right here and reach out to AIRESERV - they'll take care of it.

I had the pleasure of working with Stephen B. who is an absolute gem. He's got a really great spirit and attitude and knows a lot. He was respectful of my home and time and I truly enjoyed his presence and great job he did with the repairs. I also appreciate that he takes good notes, photos and videos. All of which are important when selling a home. I also want to mention Tiffany at the office, she has been amazing throughout the years and such a pleasure to speak with. She follows up and goes above beyond without being asked. She is one of the main reasons I'm a repeat customer. I enjoy calling here bc I know there's a good chance I'll get Tiffany on the line and I know she will always be kind. A wonderful group of people I've had the pleasure of doing business with over the years.

I chose to work with Terrance because he was eager to secure my business and promised to complete the job quickly. To be clear, Terrance does not perform the work himself--he contracts everything out. He even lowered the price slightly, which seemed like a good deal at first. However, when it came time to pay, he added "taxes," which brought the price right back to what it was before he offered the discount. There was also no clear scheduling process, no courtesy calls, and no text notifications before workers arrived. For example, one day I came home from work and minutes later someone rang my doorbell saying they were there to take measurements--without any prior notice. When the installation took place, I was at work and again received no call to let me know what time to expect them. After the unit was installed on July 11, I had to follow up myself to ensure I had all necessary paperwork for warranty purposes. The installers also left behind a large box from packaging and what appeared to be a part from my old unit. Since installation, I have been trying to reach Terrance about follow-up concerns. I have sent multiple texts with no response and only received a reply after I called and left a message--18 days later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Terrance. His business practices are extremely unprofessional, from poor communication to lack of customer follow-up. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who values professionalism and customer service.

I told them I wanted to get a second opinion and some additional quotes. Later, I discovered they had taken the power disconnect breaker with them and then blocked my number when I called to ask for its return. I ended up calling Smiley's Heating and Cooling, who saved the day. Turns out, the problem was simply a loose power line under the house. The first company had stolen my power disconnect, which I had to replace for $500. This company is nothing more than a group of con artists, more interested in selling a whole new system than actually fixing the issue. Avoid them at all costs.

A dozen…read moreor so years ago we woke up one cold winter morning without heat I just started making phone calls. Smiley's was the first business to answer the phone at around 7:30 in the morning. The call went through to the owner's (Larry) cell phone and he came by our house about an hour later. Our HVAC system was pretty ancient and very inefficient so I wasn't surprised when it needed to be replaced. Larry explained our options to repair just the heating portion of the system for less or the entire heat and air system for more money. Ultimately we decided to completely replace the old system and Smiley's was out the very next morning to get the job done. The men performing the work were friendly and efficient. They installed our new system quickly and explained its operation to us. We appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves so there was nothing for us to do after they left except enjoy our new system. Over the next several years we had some minor issues which they quickly took care of at no cost. They even replaced some of our ductwork under the house and charged only for the parts with free labor. Smiley's has grown over the years, they now have multiple locations in the area and it's not uncommon for me to see commercials for them on TV. They are a local family owned and operated business and dealing with them feels like you are working with friends or neighbors. These days I have a maintenance contract with Smiley's that includes semi-annual cleanings and inspections as well as priority service and 15% off repairs. I have remained a satisfied customer over the years and have always been impressed with the knowledge, expertise, professionalism and quality of service I have been provided by all the technicians with whom I've dealt. They have consistently gone over and above what is required. Smiley's is a first class business and I am happy to recommend them whole heartedly for all your HVAC needs.

I did a little research of reviews for HVAC companies in Chesapeake and found Simmons had great ratings. I found quickly why they had 5-stars! My previous HVAC contractor had been out twice and I was left with, " you need a new thermostat" and left with a cold house. That's when I found Simmons. They were very responsive and were out within 8 hours. The technician was very polite, professional and explained everything about the system (since I was unfamiliar with a dual-fuel system). He identified the problem and made the necessary repairs quickly. Having had a great experience then, I put the system under contract with them. Since then they have not let me down. They have kept my system in excellent condition. This week I suddenly had an issue with heat. Called and had a technician here within 3 hours. He got the system working but the next day I had the same issue and on one of the coldest days the system was out again. I called after hours and within 15 minutes had a call back from the on-call tech who said he would be here in 20 minutes. He was. The problem was so minute, a loose connection, but trouble shooting that was a pain for him, but he found the problem within 15 minutes. Simmons is my only HVAC system contractor. I know the age of the existing system and understand it only has a few years left in it. I feel confident that Simmons will keep it running great and when the dreaded day comes, it will be Simmons technicians installing a new system.

He, with integrity, worked with me on finding the most affordable and effective solution for my house. 4. In order to hold us over during the new install, he provided mini-portable units that we placed downstairs. Mike, himself, personally brought them to our door on a weekday after 9PM. 5. The technicians are all very knowledgable. In the past, I have had young technicians come over my house that didn't really know much. That is definitely not true for these guys. 6. They moved my thermostat upstairs to a place that is more suited for the structure of the house (under return in hallway as opposed to two (2) thermostats: 1 in master bedroom, in which there is no air handler, and the FROG). 7. They spent a good amount of time adapting my new air handler with existing duct work. I will definitely make Mike my "go-to AC guy" from now on.
