I believe this is a newer restaurant in the area. As Honduran who obviously LOVES Honduran food, I was really excited to try this place out. The bean and cheese pupusas were tasty. They tasted fresh. The dough was on the thicker side and I wish they had a little more filling but overall would order again! The baleada was good. The dough was a little dry but the beans, avocado, cheese, and egg filling tasted exactly as it should- great! UPDATE: I really enjoy this restaurant the food is great and the staff is always friendly. But the wait for the food has become a major problem. I've visited four times, and each time the food has taken far too long to come out. The quality is worth it, but the long wait times seriously hurt the experience. I hope management improves the kitchen speed, because this place could be incredible with faster service. read more

As a huge fan of Honduran food, I was so excited when I heard about this new spot that opened just two months ago. Naturally, I had to check it out. I ordered the Sanpedrana chicken platter and two baleadas. Both dishes were delicious! The chicken platter had new flavors I've never had and clearly made with care. Perfectly seasoned and came with generous portions. And the baleadas? Simple but very good. I just wish they had a bit more filing though. Another thing that stood out... The prices! I was honestly surprised at how affordable everything was compared to other Honduran places I've been to. You really get great value here. The restaurant itself is super cute -- nicely decorated, clean, and with a welcoming vibe. Service was great, too. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Now... the only reason I even hesitated on the star rating... The wait time! It took over an hour for our food to come out. And I won't lie, I was getting hangry! But at the same time, if you've been to true Hispanic restaurants before, you kinda expect to wait long when the food is being made fresh. This was definitely on the longer end though, but once the food hit the table, I was happy with what I ordered. All in all, my visit was worth it. Alright, I have to say it three letters... one word...... WOW!!! As someone who is from Central America, whose wife is Honduran, and who just outright loves Honduran food, I can tell you that this place is 100% Honduran-made. I have visited Tradicion Hondurena on multiple occasions, and every time I leave, I am left more impressed than the last visit. The restaurant has ample parking, and the seating inside is enough to fit a huge party. The employees are so friendly and hospitable. For starters, they bring you some chips and this very nice guac sauce (on the house) My wife ordered a Jugo de Pina, and I ordered the Orchata. Let me just say it was 10/10. The Pina was very fresh and refreshing, and the Orchata has this wonderful taste. It has become my go-to drink. For the main entrée, we ordered a Matahambrita, which is: 3 meat pastelitos 3 flute tacos Refried beans Carne de Trozos 3 Pupusas 3 Baleadas Maduros Chorizo They also have this platter of chimichurri sauce and topping for your pupusas that is to die for. All of this was 10/10. We didn't get to finish it because a platter like this is meant for 3-4 people. I totally recommend this dish. The last thing I will say is the price: the food is so well priced, especially during these tariff times. My bill shocked me, so I gave them a very nice tip. Overall, Tradicion Hondurena is a place I recommend highly. If you want great portions and great taste at an affordable cost, this is the place for you. read more

Didn't eat, walked in sat down. Waitress with an attitude said you will have to wait 1 hour for food we are busy. Only 30% of tables were filled. Place looks nice and comfortable. Spacious and it seems it's just starting out. Service is completely non-existent. Arrived to a half full restaurant and I counted about 8 open tables. Staffed adequately, three waitresses on the floor and a fourth being a water and two more persons behind a counter. A single at the door states wait to be seated. Waited and waited and waited ten minutes. Three waitresses made eye contact and none even stoped to say, we will be right with you. Not sure if the food is good. Everyone has a bad day, here and there. Might give this place another try someday. read more

Authentic Honduran restaurant! From the drinks to the food, everything was fresh made & delicious. I felt like I was reliving my childhood. The ambiance was very nice, clean and nicely decorated. There's definitely a Honduran cook back there because it was all spot on. The only con was the wait time on the food . But honestly with how good everything was & freshly made, it was worth it. I finally found a Honduran restaurant with a great ambiance, service and great food!!! Un rinconcito Catracho. Our family and I tried the sampler "MataHambrita", anafre fundido mixto and tajadas. Delicious!!! The Horchata is the best one I had in the US. Not to mention the perfect refreshing tamarindo juice + great coffee / capuchino! I can't wait to go again and try the rest of the menu. There aren't a lot of aesthetic Honduran restaurants in this area so I was really excited to try this place. The place itself is really cute. They have a lot of variety in their menu. quiero dejar este review Dejando saber mi pesima experiencia en este restaurante. Yo en agosto 17 domingo, hago una orden para recoger que tenía 3 pollos con tajadas y 3 baleadas. Que ordené mas de 30 minutos antes de llegar al establecimiento. Llego y entro a dejar saber que estoy recogiendo la orden y me dicen que no está pero ya sale y obviamente yo esperé sin problema ya que se entiende. llevo a esperar 20 minutos después de ellos decirme que no tenían pechuga para mi orden que si la quería cambian para una pierna y yo no viese tenido problema con eso si me vieran dicho desde antes en ves de dejarme saber ya 50minutos desde que ordene. Me hacen esperar casi veinte minutos más y asta al fin me dan mi orden que yo alrededor de 1:10 esperando y lo que me ofrecen ya cuando me dan mi comida es un café por la espera como que si eso pagara por la comida que me hicieron esperar pero cuando llego casi 40 minutos después a mi trabajo que está en downtown Fort Lauderdale para poder comer por fin, estoy sacando la comido y veo que también me dieron las porciones más pequeñas y es ya la tercera vez con este incidente que yo estoy pagando 22 dólares por plato espero que hagan las porciones grandes que siempre hacen y me pasa este inconveniente de porción por tercera vez. Esto lo encuentro inaceptable y nada profesional. Yo una persona que trabaja en restaurante mas grande con platos más complicados de hacer sabe que esto pudo ser evitado y lidiado con mejor manera.
