After I posted this review and a formal complaint with the BBB, this matter was resolved. The company adjusted the cost of the move by $1500, bringing the total to a fair price. I was happy to finally have this issue resolved, although it's disappointing that I had to complain to the BBB for that to happen. Also, a note about the delivery: Accidents happen during a move. Even when I've moved on my own, I know that sometimes things break. It's a part of moving. That being said, I think more care could have been taken with the way my things were packed on the moving truck. Numerous boxes were basically crushed. Many (most) of the boxes that were delivered were left upside down. This led to some things being spilled and damaged in the move (nothing of huge value, so nothing worth fighting over). My suggestion to the company would be to be more careful about how boxes are stacked. Heavier boxes should not be stacked on top of lighter boxes. The movers themselves were friendly and courteous. Why only One-Star still? Although the cost issue was resolved and I finally got my belongings, dealing with this company was one of the most unpleasant parts of my move. Moving from CT to NC isn't easy as there are many logistics to consider. I hired a moving company because I thought it would be one less thing to worry about. I paid for the convenience of having someone else deal with moving most of our belongings. If I had known I was going to run into such a headache, I would have taken a week off of work and moved everything myself. I have never moved long-distance. So, a lot of reviews gave mixed feelings about the whole thing. But as far as the experience, negative ones are just "those" type of people. Movers are people too, get a life! As far as my crew - especially attentive, very friendly and supportive with the whole thing. Packed up some fragile items that I had no wish or time to take care of on my way to new place in Dyker Heights. No smoking breaks or sitting around? Check. Spare boxes? Check. Getting the truck to the destination earlier than me? Somehow check. The price was higher than originally quoted, but I was prepared for some extra charges - doing my homework with the papers did the thing. Great experience overall! Would certainly use again. 05/22/2018 BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY READ MY REVIEW. Traditional Express Vanlines changed their name a few days ago to Safe Muuv to evade the update of my review. I am going to do my best to shorten this review, but I can't promise anything. So let's get to it! I initially contacted Traditional early this year about a move from Maryland to California. I called them to get a quote and I spoke to Sam. He was very nice the first call and then the second call he began pressuring me to pay so I decided to do research the company. What I found was shocking. All the raving reviews were fake! YES, THE REVIEWS WERE FAKE! What I noticed was that the same people (numerous people) had given raving reviews to other trucking companies in the same week. (Please see the screenshot of my initial review). After posting my review the company tries contacting Yelp stating that they had never spoken to me before and requesting that Yelp remove my review. So I had to prove to Yelp that I had, by sending the quote. (Yup, I still had it in my email. Thank you Google.) After they were unsuccessful in having it removed I get an email on 2/4/18 from Mitch asking for me to call him. Mitch tells me that he is the owner, he fired Sam and he would like to make things right. He begged and promised me that he would give me a better quote than before and he would apply a discount. I told him I had already booked with another company and he asked me to cancel. Sounding so convincing, I canceled and received my down payment back. He also asked me to take down my review until my actual move and swore to me in a bragging way that Sam made them look bad and they were this awesome moving company. So I changed my review stating that we were working to resolve the previous issue and that I will update after my move. Mitch asked me to give him a list of my items but to make sure we had no mistakes on the price, per his request, I sent him a list and pictures. He then gave me a quote. I was happy. March 2018 came and I contacted Mitch via text and told him that I decided to sell some items including the couches but we had more boxes. (Please see pictures attached) He said, "oh well let me adjust the quote". He did. Fast forward to moving day April 28, 2018, I had to call him because I had not heard from anyone. He apologized and said they should have called me the day before. The movers finally showed up and after they get everything on the truck, the mover says "Mitch did not put the right size items on the list" and that I would be charged more because "the items were bigger than notated on his list" He also said that we had more boxes than Mitch told him. He then added $743.10 to the quoted price. Stating that we had 875 cubic feet versus 625 cubic feet. Amazing! May 5, 2018, We also booked with them to have my car picked up. Yeah, you guessed it, no call no show. (please see screenshots of conversation.) So I had to, at the last minute, find another company to bring the car to Cali. I had been texting and calling Mitch for days and days no response. May 16, 2018, I was contacted by the driver and told me he will be at the storage in 15 minutes and if I was late getting there it will be additional $150. I then told him to stop yelling, that I was one block away and I will be there. I get to the storage and he tells me that he doesnt think he can pull in the storage because there is a dip on the entrance and that he was leaving with my belongings and you guessed it. I would have to pay more money to get it. Long story short I had to call the police. He then changed his mind and said he was going to try to pull up over the dip. I said ok. I then followed the manager down the aisle to my unit. After 10 mins we realized the driver wasn't coming, so we both went to the front entrance and the drivers truck was stuck on the curb. The police arrived and spoke to both of us. The driver tried to get the officer to agree that I should then pay $300 for a tow truck. The officer informed the driver this would be a civil matter. After the tow truck moved the truck out the driveway the driver then tried to tell me I had to pay more money for waiting time because his truck was stuck. I begged and pleaded with the driver to give me belongings. He refused. The officer then informed him that he is supposed to be a professional driver so it was his responsibility to make the decision on how to drive his truck. He still refused saying I need to give him more money. I called Mitch several times he would not answer. I called the company and Bill answered and said that Louis will be calling the driver to work this out. Finally, Mitch text me accusing me of making his driver pull into a space that he knew he couldn't. To sum this up. They put my items on the street and I had to get a Uhaul and move everything to my storage. Then I get a text from Mitch asking for more money. (See screenshots/pictures of conversation.) We chose Traditional for our move from Manhattan, NY to Frisco, TX. Our salesperson was Shahira, and our experience with her positive, especially that we could text her directly. She toured our apartment via FaceTime and quoted us $3600 for white-glove packing and moving on our ideal pickup date. As this was competitive, we moved forward by paying our $300 deposit via credit card. Our building required some documentation, and it was sent without issue. We also purchased supplemental insurance from the recommended company Baker for an additional $400. Dmitry didn't call an hour beforehand as indicated, but he arrived exactly when he had been scheduled. The team of three packed everything meticulously. Within a few hours, the truck was fully loaded. All were friendly and efficient. They took two long breaks without letting us know first--a heads up would have allowed us to step out too. Of course, we expected the estimate to be somewhat inaccurate. However, we were shocked when the new total was over $6000! After haggling (and promising a large cash tip), the final total was $5000, not including our deposit. The contract suggested we could pay 50% via credit card at pickup. However, it didn't mention a 3%+ fee, which wasn't charged on the deposit. To avoid it, we had to trek over to the bank to withdraw cash. If this had been clear, we would have made prior arrangements. We understood that legally the move could take up to 21 days. The pickup and sales teams suggested that 3-5 days was realistic. Once the truck left our apartment, we thought there would be GPS tracking we could monitor, as that was a selling point of the company. Instead, whenever we would call, we would speak with Ross who would talk to the dispatcher who would talk to the driver. He was nice enough, but his estimates were inaccurate, which was unhelpful when planning around work or family. He initially suggested 7-9 days. On day 6, we started calling him for a daily update, because he wouldn't proactively provide one. Everyday it was "the next day." On the weekends, he just didn't answer the phone or call back. It was stressful thinking the moving truck was arriving when it really wasn't. Finally on day 9, the driver Joseph called us directly that he would arrive on day 10 at 8 am. By 8:30 am, he had not arrived and no one was answering their phone. We finally reached the main office who had the dispatcher have him call us. He had driven too much, so he couldn't drive until 10:30 am and he was still 30 minutes away. He said to expect his team around 11 am. A courtesy call the night before when calculating his hours would have been helpful. By 11:30 am, he still had not arrived. At least he picked up his phone when we called and said he was 30 minutes away. He finally arrived at noon. The team was only two people, and they were very lazy and careless. I'm surprised they only dented one wall and broke one vanity. At least nothing was lost or stolen. They took almost a full day to unload everything. All in all, they were slow, expensive, and unprofessional, so instead of eliminating stress from our move, they were one of the biggest sources of it. read more

The contract asked when is the first available delivery date (but they do not let you know that they have 7 to 10 days from THAT date to deliver). I waited and one of their drivers got sick, which is understandable. But when I called to inquire about my move from CT to FL, the dispatcher cursed me out and told me if I rather my stuff get left in CT. I open up my move once it arrived and find that my appliances are dented, my APPLE iMac is broken and the shelves of my fridge are broken as well. I posted almost 6 years ago and I'm posting again as I just wish I could figure out why I lost almost every single pair of shoes I owned over 50 designer shoes, handbags ruined, gold coins stolen, missing silver in boxes that should have NEVER been opened as they were packed by me and sealed. The guy David who states my move was much more than they thought is full of you know what! I did a walk through on my phone with the salesman (Mitch) who totally underwrote the estimate to sell me on using them. At 12:00 AM they were there that late because they arrived 4 hours late) also to put a female in that situation where they said well pay up lady because your stuff is on the truck and we're leaving! Unbelievable! I had to purchase brand new lampshades for every single lamp I own. I repaired more furniture, priceless antiques because of these dimwitted lazy careless movers. I know it seems ridiculous and I'm still angry about it now because no one offered any sort of resolve. It was all lay back on me as it was my fault that I did the packing. These guys ripped me off and they rip you off to. .As I look around my house and realize how many things are missing broken or will never be the same due to traditional van lines moving and storage and the amount of money they charged to destroy my things to have one person tell me F OFF and then more lies! **EDIT** My items have been delivered now (August 19th) and I had a good experience with the actual delivery agent/driver, Andrew I believe was his name. He worked very hard to get all my items into our apartment quickly and assembled all the furniture that needed reassembly, and was pleasant and professional. A few items had gotten separated, but he found them right away the next morning and called me with an update to make sure I didn't worry. I am giving a star back because this experience was much more pleasant than the experience immediately prior. The issue I have with this company was the absolute lack of communication from the sales and customer service teams. I was eventually able to get someone helpful that morning, but before then I was given incorrect information multiple times. **END EDIT** I am having a very poor experience with Traditional Express. First, while selling me on thier services, the sales rep told me I could pay for the deposit, the payment due at pickup, and the final payment all with a credit card on file. I had a confusing conversation with the pickup driver who picked up my boxes and he told me that wouldn't be the case and "maybe you heard incorrectly". I wasn't able to reach anyone that weekend and spent the next week trying to get in touch with my rep to clarify. When I final got him on the phone (begrudgingly), he told me again that final payment by credit card was fine but had 3-4% service charge. Then he gave me another number to call for any future questions - it was clear he had earned his commission off me and didn't care do deal with my file any more. I then contacted the customer service rep he told me to speak with. The service rep eventually (after several emails trying to clarify) told me that no, I couldn't use the credit card method for the final payment unless I had "pre-approval prior to pick up" and she did not see that approval in the notes. Then there is the issue of scheduling the delivery. I was told originally during the sales pitch the delivery would happen sometime between August 8-12. Then after being directed to the service rep I was told August 13-14th. When I reached out on the 12th to confirm I was told the delivery was now scheduled for the 17th. When no one showed up or called on the 17th, I reached out and was told it was coming on the afternoon of August 18th. Today is the 18th, my second day of setting aside other responsibilities to wait for delivery, and the movers haven't shown up or called. I can't get ahold of the service rep. All in all I have found the communication extremely lacking and feel I'm being lied to. I didn't mind waiting a little while for a delivery, but I was given specific, incorrect information as a sales tactic and had the delivery window changed 4 times. read more

Day of move I under estimated number of boxes and was charged 1,100 more on top of quote - I'll take that hit because it was my fault. The movers in NJ who packed me up were great, they worked hard and were very appreciative for their tip....... here is where it got irritating. When the movers arrived in my new location the manager immediately cornered me and said I would have to pay more because the distance from the truck to my apartment .... when I said it was the same in NJ he said he could work it out in the tip. Ok.... there were 3 movers and I told him I was going to be generous and planned to give $70 each (which I thought was a lot) he said make it $100. WTH? Then they rushed, and before they left the manager said he couldn't take the trash, it wouldn't fit because he was going to another job. Seriously? They just unloaded my furniture and the trash won't fit? So I had a stack of broken down boxes in my apt. for 2 days until I could take them out for pickup! I look over my list and I'm missing my TV- I told him I wouldn't sign because I didn't have everything. He insisted I had to sign and to write he owed me a TV on the bottom of the paperwork. That they must have left it. What a mess - he said. I would have it in 2-3 days.... today is day 5 and I'm still waiting. Do your research, that is all I'm saying and if you have more boxes than expected, Work it out BEFORE they arrive or they will slam you on the cost. I won't use these guys again. This past August I began researching relocation companies to aid me in my cross country move from Philadelphia, PA to Los Angeles, CA. After being contacted by 8 prospective moving companies, Traditional Express Van Lines won my business. Their quote came in at the right price. I did receive a couple lower quotes; however, as with anything, you get what you pay for and I wasn't about to trust my belongings with just anyone. I worked with Mitch and all I can say is that he exemplifies the definition of customer service. In an age where the customer is no longer a priority, my experience was at the opposite end of this spectrum. Mitch was with me EVERY step of the way. He even gave me his cell phone number and answered my texts before, during and after delivery. He was a consummate professional and thoroughly listened to my concerns with regards to my transition. I was well aware of possible up-charges upon delivery because I read my contract!! I also asked all the necessary questions with regards to delivery of my items. As a result, I knew it would take a week or so to receive them. The gentlemen who came to retrieve my belongings were friendly and extremely helpful. They showed up an hour early but did call before hand to make sure it was alright. Upon arrival, they helped me finish packing. They were quick and efficient...they obviously do this for a living. They counted my boxes with me to make sure we were all on the same page. One of the men, again, went over my contract with me and then off they went. When my items finally arrived, Traditional Express' employees were efficient and accommodating. They were friendly and ready to work. As with any move, sometimes boxes get damaged in transit. Two of mine arrived a bit smushed but the contents were perfectly fine because I made sure to pack properly. Individuals need to keep in mind that they are sharing space with others whom are moving as well. As a result, your items will be moved around numerous times when they are delivering and unloading other's household items. If you pack your stuff properly, a smushed box shouldn't do any damage to the inside contents. As I said, mine were perfectly fine upon unpacking. Upon doing some research, I did read all of the reviews regarding Traditional Express Van Lines and while some customers were less then thrilled, I still went with them based upon my initial interaction with Mitch. In business, you are not going to please every costumer and all I can do is provide feedback based upon my personal experience. My experience with them has been nothing but wonderful. They were reliable, presented zero hidden fees (again, I read my contract), professional and provided exemplary customer service. After researching several other companies I opted on Traditional Express Van Lines for my move from Miami to New York and I cant believe the excellent service I received. I'd lived in Miami for the last four years and had accumulated quite a bit of stuff and was worried that things might get lost in the process of a big move like this. Fast, reliable, and very efficient the movers made sure everything was secured before transport. I worked with a woman named Shahira who organized the whole transport seamlessly and made the move a breeze. Cant thank Traditional Express enough for making this whole ordeal so easy. I would NOT recommend this company. 1) I had them pick up our stuff a week in advance, so that by the time we flew to our destination, the stuff would be close by. It was delivered 18 DAYS LATER. We were told it would be delivered 8-10 days later. I get it was around the holidays, but the customer service agent assured us the movers were "Jewish" and could deliver around Christmas. The packers even guaranteed us we'd get our stuff before New Years. Getting information about our stuff's whereabouts was like pulling teeth. If they answered our phone calls, they'd say, "We will call you back in 2 days." They would never call and we'd call again and it would be a cycle. 2) Moving day: They showed up 2.5 hours late. Not a big deal. Surprise- a box was missing! The driver said our missing box was a 10 minute drive away and that he'd go retrieve the box and bring it right back. After waiting an hour and a half, the driver didn't return our call. So, I called the company directly and they "got in touch" with the driver and said that our box would be delivered in "a day or so." 2 hours after the initial drop off, the driver comes back with our box, so I don't know why the company misled us about speaking with the driver. Only positive - the movers delivering our stuff were courteous and friendly. TL;DR: You can get better service for the same price, and with less stress. read more

A couple of days before my move, got a call from a supervisor who knew nothing about the details of my move. Explained it all over again. Day before my move, got a call from the driver who again knew none of the details. Had to explain it all over again. When they arrived with my stuff, the refused to unload the truck until I signed a form saying I would not dispute the credit card charge if something was wrong. This is ILLEGAL according to the Fair Credit Billing Act. A merchant may not require you to waive your legal right to dispute a transaction. Had to bring in my local police to mediate. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would! I don't think they even know what they are doing. I've been told by a couple different representatives informing me the movers will be at my apartment between 8-10am and was informed that most charges afterwards are for not updating the inventory and condition form and if any changes needed to be made they needed it by 5pm the next day. I asked if they can send me the contract again so I can update the form. I updated it when I got home from work and typed in the email, "Please confirm receipt of the updates". I did not receive any confirmation on the update so I am unsure that it was even received. On the day of my move, I woke up and did the last minute things I needed to do before the movers arrived between 8-10am, which was told to me twice. Both representative told me that I would receive a phone call from the movers when they were on their way. 10:10am approached and I called the company to get an update as to where they were since we were passed the time I was informed. I was informed that I was on the books from 9-11am. 11:10 rolled around and I still did not hear from anyone as I started to panic that the movers where not coming. I spoke with a gentleman and he insured me that the movers were on their way and that they were stuck in traffic.I called again 15 minutes later and left a voice message for an update. Another 15 minutes passed and still no call from the movers. I called the office back and again was informed they were on there way, he placed me on hold and kept calling the dispatcher to confirm. The gentleman, said, "Would you like me to give you the movers number if that makes you feel better?" I said yes. I called the driver and he did not answer. I waited a couple minutes as I'm thinking he didn't hear his phone or anything. I called the office back and a gentleman told me, "Oh he saw you called and he was driving but he's going to call you back here in a couple minutes." 10 minutes passed and still nothing. I called the driver again and he answered the phone. I asked him how far away he was and he said he wasn't moving anyone today and that he was working his second job. I heard that and become very upset, stressed and mad that it was now noon and it is passed the time I was told the movers were arriving. I called the office back and spoke with Mitch. He said they were overbooked (which is not a good excuse) and they are working on it. I've already paid my deposit and I was informed that the movers were going to arrive as I am a paying customer as well. He put me on hold to dispatch the dispatcher. Mitch came back on the line and told me that another driver would be there and that they were going to call me. About 30 minutes later, I received a phone call from Mike saying he was over an hour an 30 minutes away. He did not arrive until 2:45pm. When he arrived his told me the move is going to cost $300 more because of the space on the truck. I couldn't really say anything as I felt like I didn't have a choice considering how stressed, upset and angry I already was. They did not finish the move until 7pm. I asked Mike if there is usually two people on a full pack and move on a one bedroom. He said no there are usually 3 people. I asked where the third was and he had no idea. I informed Mike when he arrived that I have to be somewhere by 3:30pm. I did not make it to see my "Texas" family before I moved back home. I was crushed as they welcomed me with opened arms since all my family lived in Baltimore and I didn't get to say goodbye (something I never get to do in person now). Just moved from VA to MD from almost 3 bedroom apt. The movers showed up on time, started at 1 pm and finished at about 7. They were quick and careful with the items and we have no complaints regarding their work. But we were aggravated, that when we initially called the company we weren't told about travel fee of $250. We were estimated $125 an hour and $85 after 5 hours. As we had shopped around it seemed reasonable for us, and we weren't ready to pay the additional $250. They ended up charging us additional $125, but still... Oh yea, it would be nice if we could pay with credit card instead of driving around looking for an ATM. read more

I just wanna thank Traditional Express Van Lines for trying to gouge an extra $450 when they delivered my furniture from Philly. The driver asked for an $100 and he'd unload my stuff under the table. This company definitely pays for fake 5 star reviews. Just look at the account holders other reviews (some reviewed multiple moving companies within a week). I'm in the middle of a move with Traditional Express and it's been incredibly frustrating and difficult to reach them and get information about my delivery. The sales guy was really friendly and that so far has been the only positive thing. But after the sale, what's most important? That everything goes smoothly and they don't screw you over or stress you out more than you already are because of a move . . . The pick up was not great. The movers were rude when I asked general questions and gave me a really hard time when I wanted to read all documents before signing. Also, the movers loaded the items up and subsequently filled out the "estimate" (wrong order, I should have put my foot down). The second quoted price was jacked up. I did have more than I quoted but it was hard to tell if the movers were being reasonable especially because he was really rude when I asked questions to understand the space/contents/price increase. I was too tired to confirm and vet the new price. I gave my first date available to them about a month in advance and had to call and email repeatedly to get information about delivery that sounds like it will be 3 weeks after my first date available (time frame listed in the contract but the estimate not being available for me without excessive persistence on my behalf is unacceptable). Patience and understanding and satisfaction outreach are NOT characteristics of the customer service! They have all sounded stressed and overly busy and generally pissed off that I have questions of the status of my belongings. Do NOT go with this company. A salesman named Mitch came and photographed everything in order to price our move. We moved from a 4 BR house to another 4BR house; there is a lot of stuff. While he has there, Mitch decided to buy 3 marble top tables from me. On the day of the move, the truck was to arrive at 9am. We got a call letting us know that they would actually be there earlier. We were already scrambling to be ready by 9am. When they finally arrived around noon, they did nothing. They said that they had to wait for a second truck and that one was to be loaded first. The second truck arrived around 4pm and they packed until 10pm. We were not thrilled, as we were leaving to drive from NY to SC at dawn. Mitch did not show up for the tables, so we assumed that they were packed. Once in SC, the moving truck arrived a little late with just 2 men. There was the driver, and another man that had been hired on Craiglist that same morning. The 2 men did what they could - we had been promised 4-5 men as there were packing up the house. There was not much damage to our things; some bent table legs and glass breakage. HOWEVER, the packers were told to box up good paintings to protect them. What they did was to tape some protection around the frames. Many of the antique and expensive frames (and other items), now have tape marks on them. Unknown to us, these men were hired for 8 hours only. They made sure that the truck was emptied, and at the end of the 8 hours they just left. Although my family carried in boxes and furniture all day, there was still a huge amount still left outside. What was not left outside by the movers was the marble top tables that Mitch wanted. He did not pay for them, he just took them. I have not mentioned that Mitch did not answer or return any calls. I plan on bringing legal action against Mitch and the company. I must say that I was very pleased with this moving company. From the first person I spoke to (Kyle) to the middle guy (Mitch) to the actual mover (Igor), they were all very friendly and efficient. I was told by the auctioneer, where my piece was picked up, that Igor was neat, efficient, and professional. When my Aunt received the piece, again, Igor was prompt, efficient and professional. I hired Traditional Van lines to help me move ...in fact I had two moves at the same time. I hired them to move my apt and storage unit from California to Colorado and another move transferring my storage in Texas to Colorado simultaneously. My California delivery was a nightmare. They picked up on March 12, 2018 with an agreed delivery date of March 15 or 16th, 2018. I waited till the 16th and never heard from them. I called Corporate and was told the California division failed to transfer to a truck heading to Colorado but it would make it on a truck and be at my rental home in Colorado by the end of the following week (March 23, 2018). March 23 came and went and I called corporate on that Friday asking where the truck was. I didn't get a response and called again on Monday, March 26....still no response. I called every day - twice a day till I finally got a response on April 5. I was told by Shahira, that she didn't know what happened but that my stuff was still in California and that I would get a discount but my stuff wouldn't be delivered til the end of following week. I finally received my items on April 12, 2018 but not until the driver had to unload it and transfer to smaller truck to bring it up to my house. Instead of a discount - I was charged an extra $500 for the transfer. The movers were careless and rough with my stuff. I had to call and report their behavior to corporate. Just about every box was crushed and a lot of my items were broken in the boxes as well. A few of my furniture pieces were broken and/or scratched. I am most concerned with the bed frame that was broken and my motorcycle helmet that was stolen. I had it in the original box because I just purchased it ($489) The movers that picked up my stuff said I didn't have to pack it into a larger box and I didn't think my things would be stolen. I had two more boxes that never made it. I have used movers in the past for several across state moves and this has been a horrible experience and their horrible customer service. The movers that delivered my belongings had horrible attitudes - AND I never received my discount....nor any resolution on my helmet. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. CALL ANYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After reading my review Mitch Levine the manager reached out to me because of my 1 star review. He explained that he would rectify my situation and get back to me in 2 days. It has been over two weeks and I have emailed an called repeatedly! I have left voicemails and still nothing!! T On top of being scammed out of $1,000 in extra fees that could have been avoided. I watched and have taken pics of two 18 wheelers that parked right in front of my building and off loaded, Traditional refused and had to rent a uhaul then once that was loaded they came and off loaded my stuff.. paid $1k on top of my original agreement just for that. I was scammed because they knew I was in a situation where I couldn't fight it. The biggest issue that I am Having is that they lost my wife's only picture of her father. They said two weeks ago they will check the trailer and get back to me.. nothing!!! I am so frustrated !! Never have I had such bad customer service.. besides the money, my wife will never be the same after that picture is gone! It was a big picture that was framed so it couldn't get lost in a small area! This place is a scam!! I reported this to the BBB as well! They should be ashamed of themselves!! read more

I'm not one to post many reviews, but I told this company I would post and I am not one to go back on my word :-P I had an absolutely miserable experience with Traditional Express Van Lines. Without rehashing every detail, I was given a delivery estimate (in writing) and my stuff was not delivered for a full week after that estimate (nearly a month after I first provided an address). When the driver finally arrived, he told me that in order to unload my stuff he would need an additional $600 from me above the original agreed-upon price, and that it could only be in cash. (I threw a fit and magically his "boss" decided to waive the fee). When I contacted the company to complain, they did not respond. PSA. Don't ever use Traditional Express Van Lines, and most of all, if someone tells you they need $600 cash only in order to perform already agreed-upon services, THROW A FIT. read more

Having done this before, coast to coast.. , 4 stars are based on my opinion of their approach and professionalism. I am going to do this is stages. I am moving back across the country, again, Coast to Coast, 2748 miles. I have received 10- 20 calls from moving companies that got my number from an Internet request for a moving quote. I must say even though that as of this writing I have not had them come out yet, they seem out of all of the callers to really know what they are talking about, even more than the Olympic company that sent someone over to my house. Patrick after looking at really at the boxes (many) and pieces of furniture and gear I am moving seemed to be spot on in terms of the cubic feet of my goods. He provided a reasonable price and I have decided to go with them. Stay tuned as I will update this as often as I can through every phase. .. (Time goes by...same day) . Just Booked with Patrick. He has been assisting me with plans and logistics every step of the way. I have spoken to most of the movers that you have (If you are moving long distance from the East).. Patrick is the best.. His attention to detail even in subsequent calls relating to my move is amazing. Stress is all gone even though I still have a lot of work to do here. My move was a complete masterpiece with traditional van lines. My items arrived yesterday and from the day I booked till the day of my delivery my booking agent Mitch was on top of everything. I own lots and lots of antiques and I'm very happy to say everything arrived in the same exact condition that it left in. The packing was superb, worth every penny and the movers were hardworking and professional, they were at it non stop for hours. I'm glad I chose these guys to do my move. Definitely use this company if you want to throw away a lot of money have your belongings mishandled and destroyed. Long story short - I hired them to move some personal belongings cross country from a storage unit to my location. In the beginning they were great, told me everything I wanted to hear. I even asked about insurance in case any items were broken in transit and was assured by Mitch that I need not worry - if there were any issues he and the insurance company would take care of me. Delivery ended up being a week later than I was originally told, but I was fine with that. What wasn't fine was how my belongings showed up. The massive semi was so overpacked with boxes that the single guy who showed up to unload (yes, they only sent one guy to do the job of two guys) had to dig around to find my stuff. As he carelessly tore through the hundreds of other boxes, I could see other peoples' belongings being crushed. At the end of the day, I had two items that were broken due to their careless packing, and after months of dealing with the insurance company I have now been told that I will not be receiving any compensation whatsoever because "all items were packed by owner". Absolutely horrible experience. Traditional van lines was hired to move my items through American Standard Moving and Storage. The set pickup date was 05/19/2019 and they arrived on time to pickup and moved everything with ease (the boxes were only items for a small apartment and a couple small pieces of furniture). The move was from CT to AZ and I would be arriving in AZ on 06/01/2019. Expecting it to take a little while for the items to arrive I packed some extra clothes to bring with me. Little did I know it would be almost a two month fiasco to get my items! I called American Standard for an update first after about a week and a half and they had said my items had left the storage warehouse and were on their way and gave me a four-five day estimate. Call again in four days and they state my items actually never left the depot.... Long story short this runaround happens a good three or four times at least until American Standard pretty much says we have no idea what's going on, Traditional Van Lines isn't returning our calls, but the last time we spoke to them they said they'd take $300 off your moving price for being so late (At least this was some consolation). At this point I'm thinking all my belongings are lost and all I'm left with is the clothes I brought with me on the plane. Trying to get a hold of Traditional Van Lines myself was almost impossible as well. I must have called about thirty times with either no response or just a we'll call you back. Finally I found a magical number that gave me someone in the dispatch office...I think...and she said it hadn't left their depot yet! This was a good month later! She assured me it was on it's way and would be there in four days. I get a call for my items to be delivered two days later which makes no sense if the shipment was still at the depot in New Jersey as it takes at least four days with driving regulations to get across the country. On delivery day (7/10/2019 - almost two months after pickup) I get the call on arrival and walk outside to see a regular pickup truck pulling a storage trainer behind it! Not even a real moving van! Two Russian or Albanian guys walk right in ask me where I was my items then ask me to sign for my paperwork and ALMOST don't take the $300 off I was promised for being so late! Upon asking where the guys came from they told me California.........makes no sense. Anyways except for a couple glasses being broken everything looked fine and was intact. After looking at other reviews of this company I've found that people moving to the Phoenix area seem to have real problems here, something a little fishy going on... I will never use this company or any broker company again and recommend others to stay away as well and to double check any brokers before booking. read more

BE WARE!!! Russian operated. After contracting with Colonial Van Lines for my second move I was greeted by Traditional Van lines to move my personal belonging from Texas to Florida. The packers where great the truck was broke down took 2 days to get a replacement. Already closed on my old home and my stuff was still in there.They Stored my belonging in Dallas for 30 days . I called my contact requesting delivery from Traditional. It took them another 30 days to get my stuff delivered to my new home in Florida. Many boxes missing. They will pay 60 cents per pound for missing items regardless of the actual replacement cost which is easier than finding missing stuff and have it delivered. This is a fly by night contractor of Colonial Van Lines which only takes there 30% and bids out the actual move with other Van Lines. read more

They showed up LATE, took forever moving and still left stuff behind...two of the three guys only spoke Russian and argued with me over everything I said, and they kept adding to the fee, first saying we didn't have 650 sq. ft., but rather 850 square feet, then when the truck was loaded, jacked it up to 1,000 sq. ft. Ended up costing $2,000 to move from Outer Cape to Quincy....the whole situation was an all-day, stressed-out aggravation...STAY FAR away from these losers!! read more

Moving estimate was way under what I was actually charged. They somehow lost a couple nightstands and a large box which I only later found when another client called me to say that she had some of our stuff. It took us 6 weeks to get our remaining things that were lost. While I do think the actually movers do a good job unloading and loading, I would not trust this company to take care of your belongings since they seem disorganized! Another note, I feel that my initial review was put at 5 stars with the movers pushing me to put it that way. rust me , total frustrating experience with these guys. They picked my household items on 27th June 2016 from Boston and till today 16th July, there could not deliver items to Irving, Texas. As per their comittment, i supposed to get my shipment on 5th July 2016. Due to delay i had to suffer with my family lot for more than 10 days and had to invest 1200-1400USD to live my life at Irving, Tx. No one responds and owns responsibility for this delay.
