Red alert! As part of the application process, Meadowridge Apartments uses an AI-generated system…read morecalled Two Dots to verify your identity, income, and rental history. You are not made aware of this when going through the application process and what it fully entails; you are only told if you are interested in following through on an application you will need the usual two paycheck stubs and a recent bank statement. As one who tries to keep their information safe, bank account numbers and pay rate were redacted on attachments before uploading for my protection. For the record, gross and net pay were NOT redacted on paycheck stubs which gave verifier all he/she needed. You will eventually discover, Two Dots does not allow any redacted documents. They want you to link directly to your bank website without redacting for "easy verification," so they say. Even though my pay stubs plus bank statement more than covered rental costs, Two Dots also asked for tax transcripts downloaded directly from the IRS website, also unredacted. At that point, I reached out to complex management and told them I was unsubscribing from Two Dots texts so I would no longer receive repeated requests to update aforementioned documents including unredacted pay stubs. I also told complex management I would not be completing application and requested the $205 charge be credited to my card. NO APARTMENT COMPLEX AND/OR AI-GENERATED SYSTEM NEEDS TO KNOW MY RATE OF PAY, MY CHECKING ACCOUNT NUMBER, MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT NUMBER, AND PREVIOUS YEAR TAX EARNINGS TO RENT AN APARTMENT...PERIOD! All documents I provided were more than enough to determine eligibility. At that time, management stated they would not return any fees because application was complete. I told them application was incomplete because Two Dots kept requesting unredacted documents. I also have an email from Two Dots with subject "Finish Your Rental Application." An application is not complete unless all backup is received, recorded and verified. I filed a fraudulent claim with my bank to get my money back. I urge everyone to see for yourself the not-so-positive reviews for Two Dots as a company and even worse reviews for unfortunates like myself who were corralled into using this program as part of the application process. I have to agree with one reviewer who recently called Two Dots a "feces of a system." Apartment complexes (Meadowridge Apartments) and Two Dots do not need account numbers, routing numbers, tax information, and direct links to anything. No one ever asks for this kind of information, not even when purchasing a house. Feel free to provide personal information at your own risk. I won't, ever. On an end note, Meadowridge Apartments did eventually credit my account. They must have realized how wrong they were. Be careful with this one.

My 85 year old mother who has respiratory problems might have to go to the emergency room because of the heat. We submitted numerous work orders. The repair people would state it was fixed, but it wasn't. We have been given the runaround for a month. The property manager visited our apt. last week. Upon entering she stated "it wasn't that bad" when it was 77 degrees in here. Our electricity bill was $550 in June. The bill is not completely due to the weather. We have lived here 3 years and compared the kilowatts per hour in addition to the cost. Our apartment is approximately 1400 sq feet. They provided ONE small window a/c unit, and refused to provide us another. We are being told our a/c unit will be fixed on Wednesday. Until then there is "nothing they can do", yet they refuse to provide an additional window unit, and for a month now they have not resolved the problem. If you are ok with these type of repairs taking a month, then this is a great place to live.

For some reason, property management thought it would be ok to have lawn mowers start mowing bright and early at 7am. Nothing like being woken up to the sound of a lawn mower right outside your window. If it's not a lawn mower, it's a leaf blower, power washer or noisy grounds' crew vehicle driving back and forth early in the morning. When asked if they could possibly start the mowing operations a little later like maybe 8 or 9am they say no and that some city ordinance allows them to start that early. They clearly don't respect the people they take a rent check from. If you live near the family pool you can expect four months of screaming kids and loud music. When the office was asked if they could do something about the loud music or yelling kids they said "it's only four months of noise". I've had work orders not get accomplished yet were marked "complete". So there is some incompetency in that department as well. The rent goes up a significant amount when you renew so keep that in mind. The property looks like a country club, which is nice, and it's very safe. However, that comes at a cost.

Instead, it was suggested that both my dog and I be confined to the bedroom while we suffer triple digit heat. Needless to say, I have been staying with family. By the time the AC unit is repaired, it will have been one week since it broke down. It's unfortunate that pay $1365 for a one bedroom apartment that I cannot currently live in. These property owners are out of control leaving renters with little to no options. If you have to rent, do not rent at Aventura at Mid Rivers or any other property managed by MLPP.
