Dad said so long and he didn't have to wear a suit, he was happy and mom just wanted to enjoy the day with all us kids and not have to stress about cooking and cleaning up. The food was easy: We ordered catered BBQ with pulled pork, BBQ brisket, beans, cole slaw and cornbread. We knew we wanted a bartender too. One who was professional but also outgoing. Our family are not the quiet, formal or reserved sort of folks. We contacted a couple mobile bartending services but decided on Sarah's Mobile Bartending because from the start it was obvious she knew her business, took pride in her work and had the right sort of personality for our party: Professional but also outgoing and people oriented. We told her there would be about 50 people - Mainly adults and a handful of grandkids all under the age of 12. We planned on beer and cocktails but wanted to have maybe one or two special cocktails and something just for the kids. Sarah really came through for us! She suggested a Belmont Jewel - Bourbon with pomegranate lemonade and Amaretto Sours. The Amaretto Sours turned out to be a real hit with our parents and their group of friends who they'd known since college. For the kids Sarah made strawberry and peach slushies. The anniversary party was a hit! Everyone had a great time - Sarah went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. She arrived early to set up the bar - which looked great, so when our guests began arriving everything was ready to get the party started. My mom really liked the little lighted sign that had the featured drinks on it. It's little extras like that and Sarah asking about the menu so she could suggest drinks that would go well with the BBQ. I would not only recommend Sarah's Mobile Bartending to anyone having a party - I will be booking her for our anniversary party later this fall!

We wanted to interview the person first and go over details. This wasn't going to be possible. We were so lucky to find Barfly Mobile. We met with both of them once and then Chris a week before. Talk about professionalism and personal service--they are at the top of their game. They came early to setup. They served the entire night and cleaned up perfectly at the end. Unsurprisingly, as I've read several reviews of such experiences prior to giving him a chance. We were interested in their catering services (sister company, Delish Dish) for our wedding (plated) and scheduled taste testing for 3 ($50PP). We've discussed our menu plan and verified that we would be tasting everything discussed. He shows up without the discussed appetizers and creme brulee, and only brings enough of entree and sides for 2 taste testers, an error at his own admittance. And only after my inquiry did he say he would apply the taste-testing fees towards our total balance once we sign the contract. So, he shows up for the taste testing and suggests we pop the food into the oven for a few minutes as it's gotten cold during transport and turns around to leave. I had several questions and he seemed to stay reluctantly. The whole experience with him is unconventional at best, and grossly unprofessional at the worst. I've read an article about him priding himself on getting the sales, he's very responsive when you're seeking his services and shooting back a quick quote. That is true, he responded very quickly with any questions via text, consistently within 5 minutes. The food was good, but we ended up going with another company that we had more confidence in that was top-tier professional. I extended him the courtesy to notify that we will not be moving forward with the contract and asked him to kindly refund us the $50 for food/service he didn't provide for our 3rd taste tester. Silence. A full week later, I sent another message. No response. I didn't really expect to get the refund, but gave him the benefit of doubt. So, here's your yet another warning if you decide to book his services. I'd say we're lucky we only lost $150 with this experience, and glad we didn't sign the contract.
