Why isn't there a way to give this place 10 stars? Or even 100? I really and truly cannot thank Dave and George and 'the village' enough on all of the assistance today in getting my RV into a challenging spot in regards to parking (a tree, a fence and limited maneuverability). Exceptionally above and beyond in all aspects! Including, but not limited to: the ability to get my fifth wheel into a tight spot, the time spent in order to achieve this, the positive and (for lack of a better word) loving and 'can-do' attitude (of Dave especially) today was extraordinary. In regards to the actual RV park, when I saw the location (right off of 14th St), I was worried it was going to be very noisy: definitely NOT a concern! Ehen im outside my rig, I can hear the Jets at Oakland International Airport a *little* bit and you can hear BART a ways off in the distance, but other than that it is extremely quiet. I was actually very pleasantly surprised. I sure wish I found this place about a week ago, it is so pleasurable being around people who are helpful, kind, considerate, and caring. read more

The manager is not a nice guy he doesn't take anything for consideration for new applicants. He is never in the office but would be smoking and going to other peoples homes to help them move in, which has nothing to do with office hours . He is not professional and would not recommend anyone to come in and apply their is definitely a lot of favoritism for other race. Hopefully he can change that if you qualify then it shouldn't be a problem. He doesn't think that obviously isn't that right Dave ? read more

Took me awhile to write a review but I felt I should considering how helpful the staff was at Trailer Haven. My husband and I took our trailer out for Memorial Day Weekend and unsure of how we were going to dump our junk...lol...we called Trailer Haven and because it was a holiday weekend we were unsure if they would even answer. Luckily, they answered and from the moment we called through out bringing our trailer to them for dumping they were so kind and helpful. They never made us feel like we were bothering them or rushed. Awesome, safe, secure, friendly, clean and close to Oakland International Airport. I managed to get the last long term spot for my 35' ft. wheel. I even have an adjacent space for my tow vehicle and another spot for guests. There are security cameras all around and a spacious, modern beautiful laundry shower and bathroom. "The absolute definition of a trailer park": Loud, obnoxious, coroner, cops, firetrucks, ambulances at all hours. The water is comparable to that if Camp Lejeune. I came from Castro Valley to do research here and have experienced clogged pores that turned into recurring sores all over my body. Even if you turn the hot water to assist the softening of the oil in your skin, it opens the pores wider to let in this white paint chemical that's been left all over the sink fixtures. It looks like the worst case of dishwasher soap scum. I SINCERELY CARE ABOUT YOU: PLEASE DO NOT INGEST THE WATER HERE. AVOID THE ONES THAT DO BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES ATTRACTING THE HAVOC THAT GOES ON HERE. I am staying for a short time but advised the tenant here and we have been buying bulk gallons of water. I even feel strange using the water. Sometimes I just heat up the bottled water to just take mini showers and I feel much SAFER. I'm here praying. Come here if you can help me do that. This park is centrally located in San Leandro, close to the BART, Oakland Airport and bus system. You can also walk to just about any type of restaurant/food you crave! The staff here have been most accommodating to us and are very nice. They are quick to respond to any issues. I would plan well in advance because spaces are premium! read more

ladies and gentlemen, i bought an airstream. it kickes so much ass, it makes me so teary-eyed thinking about it. what also makes me teay eyed is the fact i cant find ANYTHING in the effing east bay as far as rv/trailer supplies go.. or dump stations, etc. mebbe i should have moved closer to a truck stop, mebbe i should live in martinez, but i dont, i live in oakland, land of rv haters. TRAILER HAVEN, you have a rad sign & i love you for that. i also love you for the fact i could roll my airstream up there in the morning & clean my grey and black water tank all day, flushing the lines & they entire water system. now thats livin. actually, its just visitin. i live elsewhere, thank jeebus. ps, i wish i saw the dude w/ the beers. that would have been awesome. read more

This place is located in the heart of downtown San Leandro, and really an awesome trailer park. I stayed here in an RV and had a very good experience. Their monthly rate is $700 and for the Bay Area this is very cheap. My only problem is that I tried to go back, and they are usually booked full. It's very convenient to the San Leandro BART station and a great place to stay to see the area. They do have a few short term spots up front and you can sometimes find a spot there. I'm not sure what their daily rate is though. read more

THE MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE, THE NEW OWNERS CARE ABOUT NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING, EXCEPT MONEY. This use to be a family owned park, the prices have almost doubled yet ZERO maintenance and ZERO improvements. The cost of doing business is transferred to their customers, without notice. This is the worse Mobile Home Park Management I have ever see or heard of. Do not do business with Cascade Corporate management, they are the Worst Park managers. read more

Time to update this park folks! This year the park changed ownershiip. No longer owned by the mom/pop family, it was purchased by a corporation. Clearly, the goal of this corporation is to hop on the bandwagon of greed that is overtaking bay area landlords. My son purchased a beautiful mobile home from a lovely couple, and after putting down his deposit, he throughly searched and asked questions of the corporation about what he can expect going forward with the space rent. He received this valuable information, which I pass on to you.... 1) No rent control. Corporation is free to increase rent at anytime with 3 months notice...even more than once a year if they so decide. 2) They think they are worth the rent space of other parks that have nice amenities like free use of a clubhouse and a swimming pool. This place consists of pavement with some scattered trees. 3) My son's rent was going to be 700.00 a month when he moved in. Not bad. In digging deeper, he asked for a lease agreement to offer himself some protection for his future. Their idea of a lease agreement was to do this only if they immediately started his rent at 850.00, moving up every year. The lease would not even state the exact percentages of increase, but instead said "3-5% plus adding on extra according to the Consumer Price Index for that year." 4) Their were two guest parking spaces at his end of the park ...two. But my son would have to pay 25.00 a month to make use of them. If they are full and his visiting family can't use them, he still pays and we have to park on the street and get driven in by my son...his place way too far in to be walking in with a casserole. 5) My son asked if he signed a 20 year lease if the lease would be transferrable to anyone he sold to. They said no. 6) Park has it in writing they are not responsible for the devaluing of purchased mobile home due to their rent increases. I kid you not. This is all in writing. 7) a current long term resident already received a notice of rent increase from 900.00 to 1200.00 a month. This is more than 30% increase with only 3 months notice. Needless to say.....with full regrets, my son chose to not purchase and lose his deposit. Losing 2000.00 is better than losing the rest of his life to the anxiety of a corporation who is already showing they are not being reasonable. read more

This park we stayed at for about 3 months. The office staff were fabulous! The park was okay, but the laundry room and restrooms were always very clean, and they had quarters for laundry. The cost for a monthly basis was okay, hook up for drains and electrical was good, and the electrical was a separate charge. Just wish they would have had a rule for big dogs here. Lots of dog crap outside the entry area. Because a lot of the dogs were German Shepards, pitbulls etc. I myself was afraid to walk my little dog. Love the sign for the park brought me back to my childhood. Walking distance to a grocery outlet and close to lots of other stores. Over all our experience here was a good one. read more

We rented a spot and was told we would have at least 2 days maybe more. Next day we went out to do errands and called them while we were out and was told they had no spots for the rest of the year. With no explanation.They were rude as hell and wouldn't recommend them to anyone read more

This park used to be a great place back when the original owners were still around.My family moved there in 1958 from Newbedford mass and soon after a few aunts and other family followed and all bought new trailers to live in.Back then it was a very tight little community at the park.They all used to go on camping and fishing trips to places like Gardner's cove and even celebrated birthdays and anniversaries in one of the two rec rooms they used to have there and the whole park came together not just my family.Fast forward to the early two thousands and The owners unfortunately went through several help problems and There kids took over and ran the park.They did an ok job you can tell the focus on the park wasn't what it once was and you started noticing things becoming run down and the park I had so many good memories of while visiting my grandparents and aunts and uncles at was now what most people think of when they hear trailer park.Just when you think things could not get any worse one of the original owners die and the park is left to her daughter and son in law.It didn't take long after they took ownership that we get a notice saying they sold the park to a Corporation and would be leaving in a little over a month.Everyone was afraid they were just going to be evicted and they would build homes or apartments on the property.So far they haven't but as soon as they took over everyone's rent went up one hundred plus dollars a month and atleast 50 dollars each year after that.Not including all the water,propane ,garbage and electricity hikes.At first they did come in and try to justify the hundred dollar first rent increase with a lot of promises that were never made like improvements like a road without potholes and such.My mom still lives there and it has become a place where a lot of the people who live there most senior or people who are low income live in fear of not knowing if they will have a place to live next time the space rent goes up.Its sad to see a place that when I was a child I loved coming to what it is now when I drive into the park.The new owners should be ashamed.Luckily I still the great memories of what it used to be read more

I have a travel trailer that I take out about once a month; usually to a KOA or Good Sam location that has dumping included. I went to Burning Man and paid a fortune to have it dumped once but by the end of the week it was full again. Deciding not to pay another fortune, I pulled my trailer toward home figuring I would stop at Camping World to get it dumped.... NOT! I went to the ONLY camping world location that does not have a station!! Tired and ready to be home I figured I would take care of it once I got to Hayward, CA. After getting home I searched and searched for a place.... NO LUCK till I found Trailer Haven Inc. $15 dollars for dumping!!! I paid 4 times that at Burning Man!!! While there I encountered some residents, they were very friendly and patient while I figured out the lay of the land. I am very comforted to know that I have options in my own back yard and that they are so accessible and friendly. read more
