Our experience started with a stop in just to browse 5th wheels. We were camping in the area and had found a couple we wanted to look at. We were met by Steve. He guided us through a few 5th wheels which we fell in love with one. He was by far the best salesman we have ever experienced. He was relaxed, let us do our own thing, was not pushy, and genuinely just wanted to show us what we wanted. It was such a good experience, we called a few months later and bought that 5th wheel from Steve. And we live 3+ hours away. Steve was enjoyable through the whole experience. He made sure we were taken care of and was very honest and open with everything. Our experience took us to pick up day. We met up with Steve for final paperwork and he directed me over to delivery. Again, Steve was great. When we got over to delivery for our walkthrough, we were met by a gentleman( who I don't remember his name). He took us through everything to ensure we knew how to work it. And as we walked through I noticed a lot of things that were scuffed or damaged. I made note of it and proceeded to explain everything to him that I noticed was wrong. Including the broken door from the techs not ensuring it was closed when the slide came in. He was a bit condescending when I made note of gashs and scratches when he said "well it's trailer quality. You can't expect it to be perfect. And you'll end up damaging it more just by using it" I told him that if I'm buying a brand new coach, I expect it to be brand new. But on we went. We discussed it all with techs and we would be in contact with them for the work. On our first outing. We had an issue with the slide that gouged out the was floor along with other various issues. We made an appt with trailer hitch and brought it on down for work. We met with a guy named Chris. He walked with us through the whole thing. Wrote down everything that we had issues with. And said he would be in touch. Almost 2 months later, we make it back down for pick up. When we got there our RV was filthy. When we walked in we weren't acknowledged. We finally were by the receptionist who handed us our paperwork and asked us to sign. I said that I wanted to walk through before I signed it at all. There was multiple conversations about who was going to do it. I stopped them and said.. should Chris do it since he walked with me in the first place. I took the paperwork outside and began looking at things The first 3 things I walked up to were not done. In fact one was in worse shape. We proceeded to pull everything out and go over it all. The part that set me over the top is when I asked what was wrong with the water heater. They said nothing. Long story short, they never actually tested the water heater and had to fix it while we were there. With all the frustration we began to have we went to talk to Steve. Who received our concerns quite nicely and directed us to Brian who was the service manager. We sat down with Brian and discussed everything. Our frustration. Our problems. Our unmet expectation. And blatant lying to us about service not required. Brian was amazing. He made sure everyone stopped and took care of us. While we were there for 4 1/2 hours when we should have only been there for 30mins. Brian stepped up big time and made it right. I can't thank Brian and Steve enough for their professionalism and willingness to make things right. If they had a little less Chris. And a lot more Steve and Brian. This would be the best and only place to go. My In-laws and I went there yesterday (03-27-21) to pick up their new trailer. Me personally, I was just there for support to make sure my elder in laws weren't being taken advantaged of. Well, I'm happy to say there was no need for me. Everyone there was very friendly and straight forward. We researched for the trailer we wanted to buy. It is our first. We decided on a lance for various reasons including quality layout and resale value. We looked at the trailers at Trailer Hitch in Nipomo because it was close to home. When we decided on a model and waited months for the annual RV show in Pomona. We heard you could get the best deals at the show. We drove 4 hours to Pomona and put a refundable $1,000 own on a trailer. On the drive home we called Trailer hitch they quoted a price $4,000 less than we just signed up for at the Pomona show. Called the sales rep in Pomona and cancelled our trailer order. We did not even tell the sales rep at trailer hitch the price quoted from Pomona to negotiate down. The sales rep's at Trailer Hitch were helpful every visit and never pushy. Easy to get the trailer bought. Of course. But the technology was over our walkthrough guys head. Turned on the auto leveler and all he could say was don't touch it the " tech" guy will show it to you. Never happened. Got home had to call lippert to figure out leveling system. Now I can't get a return phone call to get my license plates! We leave for a one week trip Sunday and it's crickets from them. 2 messages and 1 email and not even a smidgen of a reply. Bought our new trailer (2023 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL) from Trailer Hitch in September of 2022. We love it and have used it a half dozen times already. As is expected with a new trailer, we have a few warranty issues on it that need to be addressed. Nothing that makes it unusable. We made an appointment with Chris in the service department and he and his team have been awesome. Called in early January and they were able to get me in within a week. We dropped it off on January 16th. It is 10 days later, and I called for an update and spoke to Will. Will was also awesome. He took time on the phone to go over each and every warranty issue we had (8 of them) and described what has been done so far. So, only 10 days later and they have already fixed 5 of them and are waiting for authorization from the manufacturer for the other 3, which he expects to have resolved sometime mid next week. I have heard horror stories about dealerships holding onto RVs for weeks, if not months for warranty repairs. I am so impressed that Trailer Hitch does what it takes to get my trailer back to me as quickly as possible. So I rarely give a 5 but in this case it is well deserved. While traveling to Morro Bay for a weekend of camping we found that our water pump on our Forest River Fifth Wheel was not working (I know I should have checked it before I left. I called Trailer Hitch from Santa Maria at 3:30 on a Saturday, they said bring and we'll see what we can do. Brian Kincade and his team jumped right on it. The water pump had to be replaced. They pulled one of the guys off another job to do the R & R. I didn't buy the fifth wheel from them, nor do I live local but the accommodated me and got me out in less than an hour! All of the staff was friendly, engaging and didn't cop an attitude at all. Every once in a while you find a company that is engaged in giving great customer service and exceeding expectations. SALES:We've been looking for a long time to buy a trailer. We've been to a lot of different retailers and planned on hitting some RV shows in the spring as well. During our search we stopped at Trailer Hitch two or three times. Each time everyone we dealt with was so helpful and knowledgeable. When we decided which trailer we wanted, everyone from sales to finance was straight-forward and no-nonsense which I really appreciated. I do have to say- they did not have the lowest price of all the RV places we talked to (we also looked out of state) but the level of service and care is much more important, in my opinion, than a few hundred dollars when you're making this big of a purchase. SERVICE: I've read all the horror stories about the pre-delivery inspections so I had braced myself. Their service department was thorough and kind during that process and we took delivery with the confidence of knowing everything had been checked and tested well. SERVICE #2: We took the trailer out for our first trip and ran into a tiny issue with the door sticking. We called service at Trailer Hitch and they immediately gave us options for when we could bring our trailer in but they said if those times didn't work for us, they gave us alternatives through another warranty work service provider. We ended up bringing the trailer to Trailer Hitch and the service department addressed the issue and made the repair quickly and we were back on the road! Again- so helpful and so friendly! We just had a great experience with the service department today. We bought our new Solitude 310 GK there in August. There was a list of warranty items that needed to be repaired. We were planning to go there today to have about three or four of them taken care of and have the service department look at several others that had come up in the meantime. We did not expect them to be able to take care of everything today. Wil, the service manager was so professional and so polite and kind. From the moment we got there we felt at ease and reassured that things would be taken care of. When we went back at the end of the day we were able to talk with our technicians Rolando and Craig. Austin answered the phone when I called about a 2009 Keystone Cougar SRX 35' toy box 5th wheel trailer we found on the internet. Since we lived hundreds of miles away, we didn't want to make an unnecessary drive so we spent quite a bit of time on the phone. Both Austin and Brian went above and beyond making sure our expectations were realistic, walking through the unit and taking note of our concerns. I had my own financing, but Brian was able to get me a better deal. He even negotiated with the bank to beat my terms. I was pre-approved before I stepped foot on the lot. We liked what we saw so we bought it. The price was very fair. Given the age of the unit, Bryan rightfully recommended a maintenance plan. Mark was very accommodating when we scheduled the orientation. They made some cosmetic repairs that I didn't even point out. You can tell they spent quit a bit of time detailing it. They also ensured everything was safe and operational for our first camping trip. Joe spent quite a bit of time with us during our orientation. He was very thorough and made sure we knew how to operate everything correctly. We seriously considered taking him with us in case we forgot something. I recently purchased a 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL travel trailer (March 2019) and experienced a few issues with manufacturing - NO issues from Trailer Hitch RV, ONLY from the manufacturer. Brian (head of the service dept) took my claim straight to Grand Design and in no time the replacement parts were onsite and installed in my trailer. About a month later, I began experiencing an issue that was not noticed before with my curtains in the rear of the unit. This again was a manufacturer defect. We took the claim to Grand Design and they denied it. The same day I sent a text to Brian asking him to call me so I could express my concern about the claim rejection. About 15 minutes after the text, Brian called me back letting me know he just got off the phone with Grand Design and they did APPROVE my claim! Simply amazing service department. Brian, the head of the dept, is a great people person who honestly cares about his customers and does everything in his power to make things right. Tim and Troy, lead mechanics, were very welcoming and took the time to walk through the repairs/replacements on the unit and are just good people to have on your side. What a great experience, we traveled to trailer hitch Rv and Nipomo California to look at RVs after having a terrible experience in our own town of Atascadero.
