Absolutely terrible. They lie about issues and cover up the damages they have. Don't even try to help fix the issue after.

We bought a brand new trailer and they lied about doing their "inspection". We've had nothing but issues with our trailer and they refuse to answer their phones or help us. I would stay away from these slime balls and listen to all the other negative reviews. I saw all of the reviews and went against my gut feeling upon meeting them. All they care about is selling you a trailer and warranty that they won't even help you use. After that they will not respond to you. Please be beware!! read more

We bought our brand new 2014 Momentum at Trailer Hitch RV. Our first trip WIth the trailer was a disaster. This all happened on one trip. First our roof came loose Due to screws on front cap were broken. we had to have it temporary fixed which cost us 600 dallors. When we get back from our trip, the whole roof needs to be replaced. The U bolts on the rear axle came loose and we had to have a the axle replaced during our trip. we were stuck in Tennessee for two weeks. The front door does not close properly, the handles on shower door broke, the vent in kitchen does not open, sewer hose broke off while traveling. This is a lot of problems to have on a brand new trailer. Grand design is covering everything but as far as trailer Hitch RV, they are not trust worthy. we could never buy from them again. our whole trip was ruined. read more

We had the privilege to speak with Joe Cortez in the Service Department on the phone last week regarding our new 2025 Forest River Surveyor Legend trailer. The issue was it was not filling up with water in our fresh water tank. Instead, it kept draining out the low point drain. We are raw newbies with travel trailers and Joe so willingly stepped in and helped us greatly on the phone! I am updating my review to 3 stars due to Kevin Winters relentlessly trying to make it right. His apologies seemed sincere and I do believe that he cares about customer's experiences. Although he graciously offered comped items, I did not accept as it was never my intention to blackmail a vendor. Kevin, I do appreciate your efforts. Thank you The WORST!!! I queried a price on line. As expected I received a quote and texts from two different sales persons. One was a decent sort. The other? Complete south end of a north facing mule. After I informed him I had already purchased a trailer elsewhere, he kept texting harassing texts like, finally cumulating in even telling me the place I purchased from Sky River (great people there) wasn't even Sky River anymore, but some completely different entity, as though I can't even read my purchase docs. And the whole time, just rude and combative. I did end up calling the business office, where I did receive an apology from the women whom answered the phone. @Trailerhitch-this is how you permanently lose a potential customer, not how you gain one. read more

BEWARE! The service department is absolutely terrible. We have a 2021 Grand Design purchased brand new from trailer hitch rv with the extended 7 year warranty. We initially had an extra ac unit installed along with a solar panel. They did not connect the ducting correctly so the cool air was blowing in the "attic" part. Once we figured this out a while later they said it was not their fault because I did not let them know soon enough. The pop outs in our trailer have given us nothing but trouble it went in to have them repaired amongst a few other upgrades and repairs. The RV sat there for 1 month before they even looked it over for the job. It then took weeks to order parts etc. they replaced one motor each per pop out and the control boards, we got the trailer home and the pop outs are still not working. I dealt with Derek he is very disorganized and seems in over his head. The secretaries (Renee) in the service are extremely rude and not helpful what so ever. In addition the master window had blown out at home, they left the window uncovered (in the winter with rain) while waiting for the replacement, I had to call and ask them if the window had been covered Derek had to go check and it wasn't...... the trailer was then returned extremely dirty. We will never take our trailer back to Trailer Hitch to have it sit on their lot for months and not have the issues fixed..... DO NOT GO HERE. (I could go on about the terrible service.....) read more

Well, back to my original one star. Their first response is ALWAYS "You're out of warranty". This is never true, but they never check, this is just their go-to response in the hopes that you will go away. It takes a further 4-10 emails - with 4-10 rude, unprofessional responses from Chris - and finally the threat of legal action just to get even a simple service appointment booked. I just wish they would put 1/10th as much energy into getting the actual repairs done as they do into trying to get out of having to do it. read more

We had a wiring problem and were traveling from Santa Cruz to Aguanga. After contacting several shops Trailer Hitch Repair said to come on in for diagnostics and they would try to get the problem solved. I am happy to report that Steve was able to get us in and Jake diagnosed the problem very quickly. After replacing the electrical plug on our Jeep we were on our way. When disaster strikes..... There's one name you need to know. Aaron. Look, next to purchasing your first house or, say, choosing the name of your first born, buying a Travel Trailer easily ranks right there with "Things that make you question your very existence." We did our research, settled on a make, model & floor plan, but when it came time to find and buy, we were steadying ourselves for the imminent bargaining battles we just KNEW laid ahead...... And then we found TrailerhitchRV.com and our chakra's aligned. When I called and was first connected with Aaron, I mentioned the pricing difference (about $15k lower than others in my area) and he said, "What's the catch right...." to which I replied "You took the words right out of my mouth!" Well folks, there is no catch. This fine family owned business has been around for a long time and they sell A LOT OF TRAILERS!! But, though they might deal in volume, they do not move you like cattle. From the get go, I bombarded poor Aaron. I peppered him daily with texts, requests, revisions, additions, addendums, referendums, AD NAUSEM.... Never once did he balk, sigh, groan or gripe. Courteous and responsive right up to the day of the deal. And on that day..... disaster struck. When we arrived for orientation, I was so wrapped up in the excitement, I didn't notice the problem. When the orientation was over and we had signed a document stating that the trailer, with all the options we had requested and had been installed, was now ours, that my wife told me "It's the interior, somethings not right, it's the wrong color....."....... oh #@&%!!!! What we didn't know, and neither did Aaron, was that the entire time we were talking, we were talking about two different interiors!! There's a light and dark Upholstery, AND a light and dark Cabinetry Palette. We didn't know about the cabinetry palette and just assumed it was the version we had seen at a different dealership. Oh my.... Guys, I gotta say, this is a crew that is committed to making things right. They could have EASILY told us take it or leave it, pound sand, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split....... ok - I think you get it. But nay my friends, nay.... Aaron immediately started working on solutions and when I asked about a refit, they got straight to work on what that would take and how to get it done! Well, this is where things really get epic..... I don't think it would be fair to them to disclose the nature of the deal we made, but what I will say is that we will be working with them to replace all the doors, trim, cabinetry etc. in our trailer for the wood/color palette we wanted originally. We're going to be living out of our trailer full time and this level of commitment to customer satisfaction from a dealer is, BEYOND MEASURE!!! Do yourself a favor, make the drive. They're four hours North of us and I for one will be happy to make the drive to see them for years to come. read more

We started trailer shopping in October 2022. Out of all the places I contacted this place had the best prices and responsiveness. Aaron answered ALL of my questions and evened showed us the trailers we where interested in via FaceTime. He definitely went above and beyond! We ended up buying our trailer from him in Jan 2023. He beat every competor's out the door price and got us the best financing. In March 2023. We had an issue with no power to inside the trailer. Again Aaron and his team went above and beyond. Brian (head of the service department) and Rolando (Master Tech) helped me troubleshoot the issue before having to bring the trailer in. We where able to solve the issue. To preface, 2023 Grand Design Reflection 297RSTS. Grand Design's products and service, amazing. TrailerHitch, complete opposite. I don't think I've ever had a worst experience purchasing a vehicle, and I've now financed 6 new vehicles. If you'd like someone to try and rip off your hard earned money, this place is for you. First off, we were told once we gave our holding deposit our trailer would be moved to the back and people would not be allowed in it anymore. Showed up early on the pick up date, and the trailer was still on the lot wide f**king open. Sat there that way for over a week. Love the blatant lie. Second of all, Kevin was an absolute joke to work with, how much of a joke you may ask? This isn't me airing out anyone's dirty laundry, because the guy BRAGGED about being divorced multiple times right off the bat, in the middle of the offices, because that instills so much confidence in a stranger (CUSTOMER) on your behalf right? Initially, we talked numbers and he couldn't help the misogyny towards my spouse. Loved to minimize things to her as if she was incapable of understanding our discussion on financing. What a surprise he leads the beginning of sales with the divorces. Next after we decided on the soft terms to submit a loan application, I waited a few days and worked with the place's finance guy, I believe his name was Aaron. That guy was totally fine to work with, got back to me in a timely manner, presented himself professional and things seemed to go smoothly. I get the loan approval and term conditions, and after deliberation with my wife for a couple nights, we decided we were getting ripped off. The math wasn't mathing. So I showed back up a few days before our pick up date, and waited for Kevin to show up because at this point I wasn't happy that after the cursing and banging on the table and acting like a child we were going to end up with a garbage deal. Stayed there and kept mulling the numbers over till what I knew was the problem finally gave out. But I had to deal with Kevin's childish idiotic tantrums, and the banging on the table, and the swearing he wasn't ripping me off, the "I have customers waiting outside to buy and I'm wasting my time here". But after he tried to call my bluff and said let's call the bank, I told him yeah, call the bank and run the numbers without the unnecessary "internal rebate". Now hestitant, he did so, and after two minutes on the phone our payment went from a few dollars off from $900/month to $790/month with an EVEN LOWER interest rate. Kevin tried to tell me it made no difference because it's such a long term, but it was just typical moving numbers around so certain people could rip off hard working individuals and pocket the money. He swore they weren't making any money on the sale, but I'm sure Porsche just gives away vehicles like the new one he drove in to work that morning. After finally getting the deal fixed, we picked up our coach and the service side did the orientation. Those guys were phenomenal. Absolute professionals at their jobs. Set up my own WD hitch as well. Lo and behold when we got home we realized there were items missing from the coach. Just add on accessories but missing nonetheless, and they were there when we first toured it, and the online listing even showed they were included. Tried contacting certain individuals on the sale side, and nobody was of any use. Grand Design was more than happy to send me out the missing items and made a note of the issue as well. Incredibly pleasant company to work with, their customer service is dialed in. But as far as TrailerHitchRV, if I didn't have to drive hours to the next GD dealer I would've walked, and I also don't like when people get away with things. I waited a few months to let things marinate and see if it was even worth it to post a review, but after a few months, yeah, I'm still pissed. read more

Dan was our salesman for our Grand Design 2400bh. We went, looked, picked out a trailer (2022 model on sale) left a deposit and said we'd be back in a week to pick it up. One day before we were to pick up we were called and told there was an issue with the slide. Long story short, they got a a 2023 for us which had a different slide system as parts weren't available for the 2022. No hassle, no renegotiating, no issues with the loan, we just had to wait an extra few weeks, but for a better rig. Overall a first class experience. read more

This is our third RV that we have bought through Trailer Hitch company. We have had done work here in the past and will continue to in the future as they really know their stuff. I read reviews where people say they were always so busy and it takes so long, well,they are probably the biggest in the central coast and they are very busy, but they know their stuff. I just had a slide topper ripped off by 60 mile an hour plus Crosswinds going up to 395. I called ahead of time and have them order the parts and was able to make an appointment and they had it done in one morning. One of the impressive things was when this awning was ripped off, not a single screw was disturbed from the way they installed it.
