But if you're like me and you DON'T own a $1,400 Specialized high-end-wannabe-Lance-Armstrong-Tour-De-France bike, this is a great place for you. I highly recommend this place for anyone who bought a bike off Craigslist and just needs a normal tune up without the added bicycle-guy pretension. Bring cash as Joe doesn't take credit cards. And be mindful of the very adorable storage policy - you will get charged $1 per day if you don't pick up your bike after three days of when it is ready. He does have some pretty sweet vintage Schwinns in great condition for about $150. I did take off one star because as soon as I test rode my bike, something fell off of it. BUT, Joe did get it back on in less than an hour at no charge. So...maybe just a heads up to take it for a spin down the block before you are on your merry way.

The shop is crammed to the gills true and you can't walk through it due to this but it didn't even matter. The owner of this shop is the real deal he told me the entire history including options available on my 78 schwinn metrocycle and even gave me a shift cover for free. I will certainly go back. I can not stress the knowledge and courtesy of this owner enough.

I called ahead and booked a Saturday appointment, and from the get-go, Steven was awesome. Super knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and just had that vibe like he genuinely enjoys what he does. By Monday, I got a call with the repair estimate--accurate to almost the dollar--and the bike was ready exactly when they said it would be. We've never actually met Steven in person, but you can tell when someone takes pride in their work. That definitely came through. We've been brand-loyal to Trek for a while now and have never been disappointed. On the rare occasion something wasn't quite right, it was always handled without hesitation--no hoops, no drama. We originally bought our bikes in Arizona and were looking for a go-to service shop in this area. The Chattanooga location checks all the boxes: great service, solid people, and it's in a cute part of town with plenty to do--makes turning a bike tune-up into a fun day trip. Highly recommend if you're a Trek fan or just want knowledgeable, no-BS service. Worth the drive!

After I left his shop I e-mailed him for two weeks asking additional questions so I could choose the bicycle that was right for me. I ended up purchasing a Cannondale Catalyst 1, ONLY, because a Fuji Nevada 1.7 was not available in my size at time of search, and it was a requirement for me to stay under $550. [The local Cannondale/Trek dealer in Dothan sold me the Catalyst at his cost ($500)] I highly recommend River City Bicycles, and Ronald, if you live in the Chattanooga area, or just passing through.

Road bike, MTB, Xcross, they do it all. they are not cheap bikes, but it should be one of the bikes you look into if you plan on buying a top of the line ride.

My daughter and son in law rented Pedego bikes in florida while on vacation. They fell in love with them and decided to purchase two of them, they went to the Chattanooga shop and met with Adam and were so happy to have someone so kind and knowledgeable. When they told me about them and how much they paid for them I thought they were crazy but the next vacation we took my husband and I rented them. Well we are hooked. We went to Adam and purchased two of our own. We have since purchased 1 more and have one on hold to be picked up this week. Adam is the best and we would not go anywhere else. read more

Last weekend even with social distancing our family needed to get out for fresh air. We highly recommend these bikes, you can pedal normal our use the battery assistance. Employee then turned his back on me and began to assist another customer. Perhaps if I'd gotten the information I needed, I would have purchased the tools needed to install new parts, perhaps I would have decided the job was too much for me and paid Trailhead to do it for me. However, with this type of customer service, I will opt to take my business elsewhere.

No reviews here yet!!?…read more So, I am not sure what else they "guide," but we did their kayak bat cave tour. Sweet. They have single and tandem kayaks. Decent quality. They supply the yaks, paddles, and life jackets (required). It's a good time. The guides will educated you on the bats, Lake Nickajack, and the history of the area. It's around a 3 mile paddle total at a leisurely pace. The bats. Basically, at bat time, you'll float around near the bat cave until the bats start to sweep out. It's a spectacle. Lots of bats, most of them flying close to the water. Nice. Do it. It's worth it.
