We live in Morganton, GA, so making the 90+ minute drive to the Trek Bike Shop in Chattanooga isn't something we can do on a whim--we're weekend warriors when it comes to bike service. I called ahead and booked a Saturday appointment, and from the get-go, Steven was awesome. Super knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and just had that vibe like he genuinely enjoys what he does. By Monday, I got a call with the repair estimate--accurate to almost the dollar--and the bike was ready exactly when they said it would be. We've never actually met Steven in person, but you can tell when someone takes pride in their work. That definitely came through. We've been brand-loyal to Trek for a while now and have never been disappointed. On the rare occasion something wasn't quite right, it was always handled without hesitation--no hoops, no drama. We originally bought our bikes in Arizona and were looking for a go-to service shop in this area. The Chattanooga location checks all the boxes: great service, solid people, and it's in a cute part of town with plenty to do--makes turning a bike tune-up into a fun day trip. Had a really good experience here. I wasn't necessarily in the market for a new road bike but knew enough about the Trek Domane line to know it would be a contender if I were to get serious. Well, my wife and I walked in and a Project One Domane caught my eye. Jeremy, the store manager, and I talked for about 30-40 months minutes before he geared me up and I took it for a ride. When I came back I made an offer on the bike and then my wife and I went to lunch and returned an hour later. We agreed that I would spend a bunch of money and in return get some level of discount on just about everything I was going to purchase. I found them easy to work with, reasonable throughout the process, and helpful with getting the bike set up and fitted. Whenever I'm in Chattanooga I pop in to say hello and have also purchased gear from their affiliated Atlanta Cycling stores. read more

Stopped in today after seeing the amount of reviews. I'm looking to purchase an eBile before the month is over and made this my first stop. I've been doing a bit of research online and decided to get some hands-on time in before deciding which bike to go with. One thing I've noticed at all the businesses I've been to is they acknowledge you when you enter the door. From coffee shops to convenience stores Bloomingdale's even Dollar General greets customers when they come in. Not Trek At Trek I wasn't acknowledged until I left. When. I entered the store I stood at the front for half a minute and the three people behind the counter kept talking to each other. If you visit their website as I did before coming there is a kiosk in the store that asks you questions to find the bike for you. After answering one of the questions I decided to leave I think I was only acknowledged because as I was leaving a guy was blocking the door when I left. I think he just say sorry. I know he didn't ask me how could he help. If anyone has any recommendations for bike shops in Chattanooga let me know. read more

While on a cross country road trip I needed some e-bike fixing. I had three previous flats that were not done properly on the rear housing on a townie Electra. Steven and his staff were astonishing and so honest. All that was needed was replaced or repaired including new front brake pads that were supposedly changed last month in Minnesota. Then randomly after a ride today my kickstand broke in half and I called at 4:15 and they say come over. They had a random new stand in a box and replaced it for free. I wish I lived her just for Trek of Chattanooga! read more

I called the Trek Store and got a lecture about how I didn't take care of my bike and it would cost up to $900 to tune it up and up to 6 wks turnaround from some dude long on attitude but short on knowledge. Went to Owen's; cost $90 and was done next day. Guy was really nice about it too! Lesson: don't go to the douchy place next to the Whole Foods for your bikes. They'll talk to you like you're trailer trash unless you've got a Serotta racked on your Porsche Cayenne Turbo (basically this place's clientele, fat old rich dudes who want to look better than they ride.) read more

Extremely impressed with the customer service I received at this location today. I have to completely counter last yelp review. I was greeted immediately by friendly worker in the shop, who was happy to entertain my questions, and share stories of his biking career and answer questions I had regarding every single bicycle in the shop. In addition to this, I am from out of town and was asking for recommendations and the employee was extremely knowledgeable with places to be in Chattanooga which we visited and were amazing. I highly recommend this bike shop for anyone in town. Amazing customer, service and personnel behind the counter. Super sharp individuals and they know their stuff about bikes and the local town. Fantastic customer service provided by Steve. I cannot say enough about my experience. I stopped by the shop late one afternoon to ask for help buying replacement disc brake pads. Steve greeted me and once he heard I was concerned my brake pads might be worn out, he immediately put my bike on a stand and started assessing the bike's condition. Not only did he replace the worn pads, showing me exactly how to do it myself, his once-over turned up a couple of other items which he immediately addressed, giving me a maintenance primer as he went. I know he must've spent over half an hour with the bike on the stand, but only charged me minimally for labor for the pad replacement. Far more valuable than the $ saved, I walked out the door with better knowledge about keeping my bike in better condition. I couldn't have been more pleased. read more

My wife and I had been looking for a E-Bikes and recognized many options available to us at various price points. The most significant concern we had was what happens if there is an issue? You can buy a bike online and deal with international shipping and hope for good customer service, or deal with someone local and benefit from good service. In the end, we found high-quality bikes with the best components at the right price at Trek. My bike has been perfect from day one (Allant 9.9). My wife opted for an 8s. Unfortunately, hers came back to the shop a few times for some tweaks (it's a great bike, she just had an unusual run of luck. The staff at TREK Chattanooga suggested we take a new bike rather than continue bringing it back! That is why you want to deal with this shop. It's easy to have good customer service when everything goes right. Genuine service is visible when something needs remediation. Customer Service in this shop is not a footnote- It is the highlight, and it is well done. Through the process of looking, buying, and adding accessories, I never felt rushed, pushed, or like I was being pressured. The service team is AWESOME. I will not get into naming names only because I know I will forget a few. This shop performs as a team; they hold each other to high standards, and everyone is encouraged to exceed expectations. Jeremy Tubbs is great! I came to the store today to purchase some locks for my bike rack (hand-me-down from my Dad, I'm a beginner). He came out to my car to see what kind of rack I had and pointed out the existing locking mechanisms built into the rack. He could have tried to make $ off of me, but didn't take advantage of the situation. He also gave me considerable time in talking about purchasing my first mountain bike. He was very knowledgeable and helpful ~ I'll definitely be back to buy from him. read more

Love this store. My friend Patrick and I visited Chattanooga for a day trip during Memorial Day weekend and had a great experience here. We were both in the market for a new bike and Trek caught our attention. First impression: The store is beautiful. The layout is very well organized and inviting. We were greeted immediately and felt the comfort and ease to check out their merchandise without feeling the pressure to buy immediately. I visited the store the first time to upgrade my road bike. I never felt like they were pressuring me to buy more bike than I was really ready to handle. Did a great job with an initial fitting. I returned a couple times for adjustment as I put a lot of miles on the bike in the first year. Great service, great team. Friendly and knowledgeable. Not intimidating if you're still fairly new to cycling. Also as I live a ways out, they are very accommodating if you connect ahead of time about being able to do an adjustment without having to make multiple trips into town. Additionally the Trek product (2021 SL6 Disk) Has been superior. Had another brand before that that I enjoyed but the Trek product I bought feels so much more solid on the road and makes me way more confident to be aggressive and frankly is way faster than what I've experienced and expected. Can't say enough about the quality of the engineering and design. Very comfortable road bike absorbs a lot of the small things to smooth out the ride. read more

Long overdue review but here goes: I've been riding out of this shop for a couple of years now. Bought my 2017 Fuel EX new from them as my first full suspension MTB. From the get go, the entire shop was friendly and helpful. Crosby was patient in helping me tease out which model to go with and ended up making some calls to get my specific model and size from another location. The mechanics, David, Stephen, and Matt, helped educate me along the way with maintenance and bike repair, never once making me feel an idiot, even if they were rookie mistakes. A few months ago, I completely overhauled the bike with a new wheel set, brakes/rotors, dropper post, and suspension. I asked them for a lot of advice along the way and had multiple quotes done requiring a decent amount of research on their end. David especially helped me out a good bit with this, offering input but not being pushy. I could tell they were genuinely excited to help me build the bike, and it turned out fantastic. I have had some issues with rotor contamination after service, but Crosby, David, and Stephen have all been highly attentive to this and have made it right, including refunding my service charge, free pad and rotor replacement, and implementing updated procedures within the shop to ensure it doesn't occur again. Overall, there is a great group of guys and girl working at this shop. They've always treated me right and gotten me my bike back in a timely manner, often working overtime to get me back on the trails. I've gotten to know everyone that works in the shop and each one is a true rider at heart that is fun to talk to and has your best interest in mind. I highly recommend checking out this shop, wether you ride Trek or not. read more

Exceptional staff and expect some waiting to be served but have no fear, they will give you all the attention and time needed. And they should. The merchandise is quite expensive. It is best to be educated about product before shopping. Availability on many models is always an issue and store is certainly not over-stocked. read more

Crosby fixed my husband's bike quickly and for a low price. The other bike shop(you know the one) we called, wasn't very honest. For a small part, they insisted we needed to buy a whole new seat and seat post, when all we needed was a small circle clamp and a screw that has fallen off during our travels. read more

I bought a Marlin 5 two days ago. It is an amazing bicycle. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this store. They are friendly, knowledgeable and will go out of their way to make sure they provide you with as much information possible and will answer every question you may have. Jeremy was incredible. I knew I wanted a Marlin 5 prior to my visit. My size was available and after picking out the color I wanted, I did a test ride and all I can say is this bike rocks! It's ease of use and smooth ride was better than I imagined. Jeremy also helped me with other things I wanted and discussed with me things I could use or might need while out riding. Because I wanted a lightweight mountain bike helmet that provided the most protection, I chose a Bontrager Blaze Wavecel. The ventilation is wonderful. There is no impedance of air flow with this helmet and it is easy to adjust. It has many useful features and it is so comfortable I barely notice I'm wearing it. I also needed a bike rack, which Jeremy installed while I was at the store. I was so impressed with the clothing and accessories available at this store! Chattanooga is lucky to have you! read more
