My friends and I dropped by here for a late afternoon lunch. I like their fast casual vibe of ordering at the counter and having your food come to the table you choose. Food: My friend and I shared the combo appetizer that came with fried mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini and fried mushrooms. All the items were good, but I wish the items were a bit warmer. I also ordered a veggie burger. The burger was good, and I'd order it again. Service: Service was pretty quick. You order at the counter (including your drinks) and the food is brought to your table. If you ordered something from the tap, you would go over to the bar it grab it. Our food came out promptly. No one in my 8 person party waited too long for food. Trails and taproom is a pretty unique place. You're responsible for your own beer tab just get a glass and fill it at your favorite tap charged by the ounce some beers as low as $.40 an ounce some are more like a dollar an ounce like a quad, barley wine, etc. those are expensive beers They're currently doing flatbread, pizzas and sandwiches and wings. Nice atmosphere if you're ever irritated by under poured beer at the big restaurants, I'll pick on Buffalo wild wings for one usually the pours 4 ounces short but they're charging you for a full 20 ounce irritates the heck out of me here you get what you pour! read more

Very interesting! You rarely find a "lodge" feel offering sushi and a self serve beer wall. We ordered a couple rolls, they were both very good. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars because I thought the drink selection on the wall with lacking. Definitely worth visiting and we will go back. read more

Great beer and pricing. You come in, set up a tab, get a card, then pour whatever you want and as much as you want. They and maybe twenty options of beers and you can bring over food from Felipe's in the same building. The seating was clean and we ate inside, but outside looked good as well. Decided to try this restaurant out since it was close to our Air BnB and had decent reviews. I was not impressed. First off, I didn't realize that this was a self serve restaurant. The only think they do for you is bring your food out. I like restaurants that do this but only if they can do it properly and I didn't get the impression that this restaurant could. It was confusing because usually restaurants like this just have a counter with a menu posted above like a fast food restaurant but this one had menus that you took to your table, picked what you want and then got back up to go to the front and order. Kind of redundant at that point. Another downside was the big "selling point" of this place is the drink wall which was completely shut down when we went. If it ain't going to be open all the time then don't bother having it. Finally the food. The onion rings were probably the only good thing I ate. The beer cheese pretzel was definitely just a frozen pretzel with canned spicy Queso. The chicken tenders were horrendous. If you're going to charge $17 for chicken tenders they better be good. Instead they tasted like frozen chicken tenders. The fries were average, nothing to complain about. The mashed potatoes were also the only other good thing I ate. As for the staff, I mean you don't really interact with them much but the interactions we did have were good. Overall I think this place is just in a limbo on what they should be focusing on. If you don't need to spend money on wait staff then invest in good food and good cooks. This could be a successful place if they just figure their stuff out. read more

Loved this reinvented version of "The Mason Jar"! Amazing wall full of beer, wine, cider, and cocktail options. They give you a card to open a tab and you use it to fill up your own glass (pay per ounce). My beer was less than $5! The staff was super patient and knowledgeable in teaching us how to use the wall. The vibe inside is updated and modern, but still had those mountain decor feels. The patio is huge outside with lots of seating options. The chicken fried chicken was amazing! I got the lighter potion and it was the perfect amount of food. Will be back!! read more

From MO and I haven't been able to find it anywhere since I tried it in Hawaii in 2022! Fish N Chips was real food! Flatbreads all sounded fantastic. The Chute did not disappoint. Sharing feedback sent to Trails End: Went to your location on the Westside at 11 am last Friday. Hostess confirmed they were open at 11 when a woman interrupted and said they weren't open until 11:30. I said we had just checked the website and it said 11. She replied that she was the GM and the website is wrong and they were closed until 11:30. We left and discovered a restaurant in Manitou as a result of being turned away, so for that, I am grateful. But her attitude toward us kept gnawing at me as I am a customer service manager for a Fortune 200 company for 26+ years. I took the time to look at your yelp reviews and noticed a trend - this "GM" was mentioned several times in negative reviews. I also noticed that your reviews have been consistently low in the last 7 months. Let me guess when this GM took over. The irony is that we have frequented the previous location several times and had excellent service. We even bought gift cards during/after the pandemic to help support your business. Sorry but I will be posting this to yelp just in case your GM is in charge of everything at your company, including monitoring feedback. read more

Fix your handicap sign out front. I do not know if you are responsible for this or Hammonds, but I tore the sleeve of my nice down coat on the wiggly very very sharp sign. If I had not had on a coat I would have damaged my skin on my arm. This sign is very dangerous and someone is going to be hurt. Attach it better and put some rubber on the edges. read more

Wow, I just love this place! If you can never pick a drink, or have commitment issues in general, this place is for you. It's such an interesting concept- right at the start, they ask for your ID and credit card, and then you get a card that you can use to serve yourself beer. They have different glasses (for if you know what shape to use for different kinds....not that I do....), And they have about 40 drinks on tap. Most are local Colorado craft brews, but they also have craft beer from around the country as well as nitro cold brew coffee, wine, and cider. During summer and around holidays they have a seasonal selection too. Found a new favorite pumpkin beer that way (yea, yea, I'm pretty basic, get over it). They have some pretty bomb food too, I love their white queso and pizza selections. The whole place is decorated like the outdoors, and they have trail maps to use to find your next hike or bike ride! I also love the rocks for playing around making cairns while you enjoy your beer. And the squirrel thing.... but you need to see that for yourself! read more

It appears that one was really good help, one was too busy to take care of customers because she needed to put her makeup on and the lady bringing the food out was a stick in the mud. I've been to Trail's End before they moved into the Mason Jar location, and a couple times since. The first time, we had servers come take our orders, deliver our food and drink, and bus our table, etc. This time, my daughter and I had to go up to the register to place our order, go get our own drinks, get our own silverware, napkins and condiments, and when we were done, we had to bus our own table. A server brought our food out from the kitchen. That was it - no one stopped to check and see how we were doing, etc. When I paid the bill, it had auto-tip options for 18-25%. I usually tip very well, but didn't in this instance. I don't know what I was tipping for here - my daughter and I did most of the server work myself. As a final little jab, when I first pulled up and parked, walking away from the car, the owner or manager asked me to park in a different location, because they were having a group of cyclists show up. No big deal, but why didn't they section off that area earlier - when they opened? Food is fine, beer is good but I don't like the idea of going to a sit down restaurant, and doing everything myself, and then having to tip servers that didn't do anything for me. read more

Don't recommend... it is NOT the former "Mason Jar" as the road sign falsely depicts. Awful system of taking order at register then sitting down then self serving beverages. Two of our orders were lost, one never arrived even after telling people THREE times, including the manager. We ended up having to leave because one of our guests orders food never arrived. I hope today was just a bad day for them and not indicative of bad management. read more

First time trying out a card-swipe taproom, and I wasn't disappointed. They seemed to be very heavy on the hops, and I am not a hophead - a more well-rounded selection should be easy to achieve with their dozens of taps (need more ambers, porters, etc.) Regardless, I loved being able to sample lots of beers without having to harass a bartender for taste after taste, and didn't have to use a bunch of little glasses. Taste, rinse, go for more. Food was decent with limited selection. The in-house bike shop is terrific; the place is very much geared (ha) toward cyclists, specifically mountain bikes. My spouse had already told me about it and he loved it. Trivia was fun and our Yelper team crushed everyone! read more

This place is very cool and I loved my experience here. My fiancé and I are traveling and needed somewhere dog friendly where we could eat, and this place was great! The food was amazing. We ordered "The Pearl" which was a BBQ chicken flatbread, chicken fried chicken, and the mojo bowl to split as an appetizer. If you like KFC bowls, the mojo bowl was like the best possible, homemade version, and it was DELICIOUS! The beer on tap is really cool. Love this concept! Love the design so much! The trees used inside were all taken from the Waldo canyon fires. You walkin and they have you get a wrist band and order food if you'd like. Then you get to choose from a variety of local beer, wine, cider and mead. You can pour as much or as little as you'd like. I love the variety of choices. The menu looked fantastic but we already had dinner plans. I WILL be back to try the nachos I saw! They had a Girl Scout cookie pairing the day we came in, which was so cool! A great place! We walked right in and were greeted by a friendly receptionist, who took our food orders and handed us cards to grab drinks. Listen, this is not a place for normal American "hand-holding" service. I've seen a number of curmudgeony reviews about this not being like "other" restaurants... but it isn't like other restaurants. It says as much as you walk in: order food at the front counter, grab your table number, and go tackle the drink wall with your card. World's your oyster, and you don't wait on anybody to bring you your next pour. You pay by the ounce of drink with each tap listing each price, and the drinks are fairly priced for that arrangement. If you can do simple math in your head, you can figure out how much a pour is worth. If not, the screen displays how much your tab is, and adjusts with each new pour. If you're like me, sometimes you don't always want to jump into 10-16 ounces of a beer you've never had before. Pour a quick few ounces, give it a taste, go back for more... or don't. It's a simple system when it's working effectively (I called ahead to confirm they had fixed their drink wall, which they had!). There is great variety, from light and dark beers to tap cocktails and a few ciders. We grabbed a few apps as well, and were impressed with the food quality. Come give this place a try! read more

Tonight was my first time here, for a Yelp event, meeting our new Community Ambassador- hooray! I love how you can pay by the sip and try a lot of different things- such a cool idea. I'm not much of a drinker but I enjoyed trying the ciders. The sparkling black currant cider was really good! The staff working were really helpful with suggestions and I really appreciated that.
