Friend and I were looking to watch a football game and decided to try out Abby's. Service was very friendly. Good number of beers on tap. The usual cocktails with some Irish inspired drinks as well. I'm a huge fan of fish and chips and when I saw it on the menu I had to try it. I've yet to have good fish and chips in the Springs (shocker, I know). I was caught off guard by how good it was. The fish had a nice golden fry, indicating clean oil was used. The ratio of crust to inner fish flakiness was perfect, not too much crust and the fish was very soft and flavorful. Chips were good too, not too greasy or salty with a decent crisp and potato texture. I can now say I have a fish & chips place in the Springs and that makes me really happy. read more

My friends and I came here for a late lunch on a weekend. It was pretty packed considering that it was the middle of the day and this is pretty much a bar. They do indeed have plenty of drink options including beer and whiskey and cocktails. I asked for the berry lemonade with a shot and it was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his Irish beverages too. I tried a bite of my friend's scotch egg and it was amazing. I'd definitely get that next time. The gravy was nice and light and I felt like it completely made the dish in a good way. I ordered the shepards pie. It was really good, very filling and a little gamey. You should probably like lamb if you order this because it definitely tasted like lamb. I like lamb, so this wasn't a problem, but for people who are used to eating beef shepherds pie (or is that just me?), this might be a surprise. My husband ordered the short rib plate that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. He gave me like half of his green beans because there were so many and I happen to love green beans. They were delicious. My other friend loves the potato wedges here. I don't have a lot of authentic Irish Food experiences, so I don't have anything compare this to. But I also am a little sad I don't live in Colorado Springs otherwise I'd be here more often to try other things on the menu. . read more

We were out and decided to grab a quick bite... Sometimes we wrestle with going to the place we know vs the place we don't... the pub was very neat and clean -- it was a cold day but the bar was warm and toasty! Today we decided after several years saying we would go to Abby's but off we went! Staff was amazing our entire visit from when we walked in to when the bartender came over to chat... We decided on two ice cold beers, colcannon bites and the corned beef Mac and Cheese... The beers were great and the potato bites were perfect... I loved the Mac and Cheese with their homemade corned beef... the cheese blend was exceptional- Jarlsberg and Dubliner... wow The use of the small cookery was great as it kept the food piping hot. I especially loved the Mac as it wasn't salt overload like sometimes when you have corned beef hash. Came in last minute with a large party of 9. I was pretty concerned that they wouldn't be able to accommodate a last minute group that big (and I couldn't be mad about that either) but they managed to and were extremely helpful. Came here on St.Patrick's day and was not disappointed! They were packed Ofcourse and had a 3.5hr wait for a table but were allowing people to get drinks at the bar and stand around. We got 1 drink and enjoyed the band playing bagpipes and the fun atmosphere! I got the duck of the Irish, honestly was shocked with how tasty it was! Very sweet and strong, also comes with a cute duck in each. My boyfriend got the classic Guinness and it was so creamy and thick! It was one of the best in town! We had planned to dine in here for Christmas Eve but some family members ended up not feeling well, so we decided to order I . We have a large family though, so needed to order for 6 adults for dinners. Everyone picked their dishes, the appetizers, drinks, etc and I called to place the order. The young man on the phone was extremely friendly, not the quiet attitude I have encountered in the past, irritated by the fact I have to order 6 meals plus appetizers. So the kind demeanor and as a welcomed changed. He took the entire order, calculated everything and I stood there, waiting for the shock of the total. It came alright, but it was far less than I had imagined. I had him repeat it and then read the items back to make sure he rang everything up. Sure enough, with 6 meals, 3 appetizers and all the total was LESS than what we have been paying to dine in ANYWHERE for 6 meals and 1 APPETIZER for the last 5 years! I thanked him, ran the total past my family who had the same reaction. Then went pick up dinner. We ran EXTREMELY late to pick it up, they just said "no trouble, we kept it hot for you" and that they did. They bad it up nicely, followed me to my car, loaded it all up and wished us all a Merry Christmas. It made for a wonderful evening! Well themed and authentic, Abby's Irish Pub delivers on delicious food and a good time. The service was great, our waitress came back very often to check up and get us new drinks. For starters, we had the Irish soda bread and the pickle chips. Both were serviceable but nothing exceptional. For entrees the shepherds pie was delightful, offering a very homey comfort meal that warms you right up. The fish and chips offered a large portion of fish. The spicy chicken sandwich was fairly messy and fell apart and wasn't great. The chocolate mousse for dessert was a great end to the meal. Had an urge for fish and chips and Abby's has the best we've had in the Springs. Our server showed up promptly and took our order. She came back shortly with our drinks and another staff member arrived a bit later with our dinners. Each plate featured a generous sized filet of fish in a crispy and non-greasy batter along with hot shoestring fries, tartar sauce and a portion of excellent Cole slaw. Malt vinegar and ketchup were already on the table and our servers brought extra napkins without being asked and checked back with us to make sure all was expected and to see if we needed anything else. The decor and ambiance is excellent, we informed our server Kali that is was our first time and if she had any recommendations. I absolutely love corned beef and cabbage and I will tell you this is not it. This was served in a soup bowl which I'm not sure why but I'm just perplexed by it. First of all the cabbage was colorless and sour, that's not a great sign. Great CB&C still has some green with flavor and texture, this was soggy and flavorless. 3 Feb 23 - my husband and I had a late lunch at this pub because my son likes their food. Our waitress Kaela was real friendly and bubbly. I ordered the lamb burger with coleslaw and my husband had their biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and bacon. Our food came fast and my lamb burger was juicy and the bun was nice and soft.
