    BBQ burger and tots
    Mike G.

Ate here before another concert tonight. We didn't know going in, but draft beers are buy one get one with proof of a ticket before and after a concert at the Ford Amphitheater. I enjoyed two Smithwicks, and my wife had two Telluride Facedown Browns. A little sad they were sold out of a few sandwiches and pizzas too, I ended up with the same burger I had last time. It was fine, even though I wasn't really in the mood for a burger. Tots are still king. My wife got chicken strips and fries. I think she thought they were ok but not the best chicken strips she's ever had. Like on other pre-concert visits, they're busy, service is slow, and bar service is slower. The two for one draft beers and free parking helps to make up for it some. Still better service here than at other spots we've tried before concerts.

Who doesn't love pulled pork nachos??

Great, surprisingly quiet spot to meet up with friends on a snowy Friday night. The red sangria and cheese curds were great. Our server graciously asked the bartender which is the wines we're freshly opened (Meomi Pinot for the win). Definitely recommend the pulled pork nachos for sharing!

We haven't ventured to the Brass Tap in well over 4 years and decided to roll the dice to try it again. On with the review! Let's start by the lunch menu deal which was hard to resist for $10 and included a pint of beer. So the price definitely was attractive. The service was excellent given the bartender was waiting on all of the tables! He was awesome and extremely friendly. Asked us if we knew about the $10 lunch specials. We told him we did and he gave us a minute or two to read over the menu and decide. We went with the Poblano Chicken Tacos and the Cheeseburger and Fries. Our bartender brought us icy cold crisp Avalanches and ice waters very quick. The beer was perfect! The atmosphere is nice and the bar is a typical bar with TVs everywhere for watching games. The food arrived fairly quick and I have attached the pictures. The cheeseburger was ordered well done and still came out pink and lacked seasoning. The fries were typical crinkle cuts and were well seasoned. My poblano tacos were nice pieces of white meat chicken but again just needed some additional flavor that would have given it some pop. The chicken meat again needed more seasoning. The chips and salsa was also a nice add. The chips did taste homemade and again like the fries had seasoning. The restrooms were exceptionally clean but there was no soap in either dispenser. Again, it was a mixed bag with several positives.

Our waiter Jake was an absolute blessing. He was kind and knowledgeable of the menu with great food suggestions and good service. He was polite while we were praying over our meal and had a great spirit led conversation.

Amazingly fresh food, great selection of beers/cocktails. Lots of room, TVs & outdoor patio. Great spot to watch a game, or go with a group for karaoke or trivia nights! I can personally vouch for their chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo! And their coleslaw is so fresh & yummy, I always ask for 2nds! Very friendly and accommodating staff, cap this place off for me. Highly recommend.

Our last day in Colorado Springs and found this place to grab a bite before heading to the airport. Really welcoming and neighborhood feel. We ate at the bar and the bartender was engaging and attentive. Huge beer selection. Delicious Bloody Mary. My chicken wrap was more of a panini which I really enjoyed.

Pretty average food -- we split a Chicken Bacon Ranch Club and fries. Waitress/bartender was attentive and kind. It's basically a bar.

I was personally in love with the hush puppies, but my entire table was impressed with the tater tots and wings and we ended up ordering another round.

When the food came, however, only disappointment followed. It started with them being out of the only thing I wanted, but I found other things. Those other things were all ruined in some way or another. The pretzel was the only thing that was decent was the pretzel and beer cheese, but I wonder if it was frozen and just had to be heated up anyway. The tomato soup was also a hit with my son. Very small serving, so small my 6 year old needed a second bowl, and complained that he was hungry when he was done. My other son got the poke bowl which was also such a small serving that he was still hungry. He said it was alright, but he wouldn't choose to have it again. This kid LOVES poke so that really says something. I got a side salad and the ranch tasted rancid, so I got another dressing they had, which was also disappointing and ruined my salad I left behind. There were more mishaps, but ultimately, the meal ended up costing more than it was worth, and everybody was hungry when we left. The only thing that was actually tasty was the crème brûlée. This might be a good place to come for drinks, but I would not recommend this place for food. This was a $90 meal that was worth about $5. I wish I had my time back. We will not be going back. I would not recommend the food.

My husband asked to have another table and she seemed happy to accommodate. The place was nearly empty after all. The vibe is pretty cool. It has cool old-timey brick walls and a tin ceiling ... Colorado mountain town feel for sure. Our server was friendly and professional. We ordered and got our drinks fairly quickly. My bloody mary was enjoyable. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas. They had a good amount of filling, eggs, crispy bacon, onion, pico de gallo. I asked for a side of extra pico. I was surprised that they don't have a salsa. Oh well. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito. It's his standard order. He says that of all the breakfast burritos he's eaten ... and it's an impressive amount ... this one was the best ever. The green chili that it was smothered in had a bit of heat which appreciated. The burrito was very generously stuffed. Best. Breakfast Burrito. Ever. WOW. That's quite the compliment. The prices were decent. Service quick. Food great. We'll be back.

This weekend though, I ordered the chicken and waffles, which was one of my favorites, check the previous photos, it was AMAZING! This time, with the new menu, I would not ever order them again. The chicken was a not close to what it used to be or could be on a sandwich and be worthy to serve, it less than a 1/2in thick including the breading, the small waffles were soggy, and it was just unappetizing to look at on top of it. The syrup saved it, but that's saying a lot as it's just syrup... I really was looking forward to the chicken and waffles that used to be here as that was the entire reason for brunch here today, and I'll not order this again if this is what it is now. The steak Benedict was great though and well enjoyed by my wife, she loved it and the steak was perfectly cooked. We've been here 15-20 times and this was the only disappointing time since the ownership change or whatever took place. Unfortunate as we love it here, but this was not at the level it was before.

If you're sitting at the bar you can see the window where your food comes up -- our salad and fries both sat there about ten minutes before anyone brought them the ten feet over to us. Not a huge deal, but it's a little cruddy sitting there thinking "I'm pretty sure that's ours" and waiting. The ambiance is very dark, with a lot of stairs up and down -- you head into sort of a basement-type area. Everything I saw was clean and nice. It's a cool, funky spot to take a date or hit for happy hour, so the vibe and ambiance are definitely spot on for that. Signature cocktails -- all fine. Not the best thing ever, but solid. I'd have them again. Side salad -- good. The ranch is made in house and very flavorful, and the salad was actually loaded with veggies. French fries with garlic aioli -- a bit of a letdown. We didn't even finish them. They came out okay, just a little dry, and the aioli itself wasn't very good -- we didn't really like it. Pro tip: The entrées looked pricey, which is why we stuck to snacking at the bar -- and after the fries came out, we were fine calling it there and eating elsewhere. Overall, would recommend for happy hour, and would return.
