What a great find! We enjoyed a fantastic work lunch here. With lunch specials and great staff, this restaurant is the place to be. Our waitress was super friendly and very helpful. I've been going to the Brass Tap for sometime now when in COS to enjoy a few beers with friends, watch some sports, and maybe grab a bite to eat. The beer list is generally pretty extensive. This time though the first four beers I ordered they were out of. Oh well. But then there is the food. Nothing wrong with the taste, typical bar food, but the price keeps inching up to the point where the meal lacks value. I mean two puny tacos for 15 bucks? A one small patty burger for 19? 8 wing pieces for just under 20? C'mon! So although service is always good and the atmosphere lively, I think next time I'll eat elsewhere then come have a few! read more

This was such a great place when they first opened and amazing deals for teachers, 1st responders and military...then it became like $9 for a beer and all affordable crappy bar food was gone and it was expensive crappy bar food. Ate here before another concert tonight. We didn't know going in, but draft beers are buy one get one with proof of a ticket before and after a concert at the Ford Amphitheater. I enjoyed two Smithwicks, and my wife had two Telluride Facedown Browns. A little sad they were sold out of a few sandwiches and pizzas too, I ended up with the same burger I had last time. It was fine, even though I wasn't really in the mood for a burger. Tots are still king. My wife got chicken strips and fries. I think she thought they were ok but not the best chicken strips she's ever had. Like on other pre-concert visits, they're busy, service is slow, and bar service is slower. The two for one draft beers and free parking helps to make up for it some. Still better service here than at other spots we've tried before concerts. read more

We overall love this place! Great place to get good drinks and food. The impossible tacos were awesome! I just have 2 areas of improvement: the taco plates are pretty small and only come with 2 tacos. That's not a lot, especially for the price. Also, if you're sitting outside, one side of the table will be staring directly into the sun, which is very intense. Most couples sitting outside were on the same side of the table to avoid the sun. Good service and as expected for a sports bar it's loud a has a lot of viewing options. Beer choices are solid, most of the food was good, however the chicken club wrap was pretty bad. They no longer have the beers (Bluemoon or Beehive) we usually order there. Slow service. No sugar for iced tea. Our food stayed in the window too long. Server never came back to check on us. Great, surprisingly quiet spot to meet up with friends on a snowy Friday night. The red sangria and cheese curds were great. We haven't ventured to the Brass Tap in well over 4 years and decided to roll the dice to try it again. On with the review! Let's start by the lunch menu deal which was hard to resist for $10 and included a pint of beer. So the price definitely was attractive. The service was excellent given the bartender was waiting on all of the tables! He was awesome and extremely friendly. Asked us if we knew about the $10 lunch specials. We told him we did and he gave us a minute or two to read over the menu and decide. We went with the Poblano Chicken Tacos and the Cheeseburger and Fries. Our bartender brought us icy cold crisp Avalanches and ice waters very quick. The beer was perfect! The atmosphere is nice and the bar is a typical bar with TVs everywhere for watching games. The food arrived fairly quick and I have attached the pictures. The cheeseburger was ordered well done and still came out pink and lacked seasoning. The fries were typical crinkle cuts and were well seasoned. My poblano tacos were nice pieces of white meat chicken but again just needed some additional flavor that would have given it some pop. The chicken meat again needed more seasoning. The chips and salsa was also a nice add. The chips did taste homemade and again like the fries had seasoning. The restrooms were exceptionally clean but there was no soap in either dispenser. Again, it was a mixed bag with several positives. read more

12 Aug 23 - my husband and I had lunch there today. We had not been there in a long time even though the owners are friends of our son and ours. Our waitress was Megan and she made me a strawberry lemonade even though it is not on their menu. I ordered the grill Chicken tortilla wrap that came with lettuce & tomatoes, French fries & coleslaw. My husband ordered their cheeseburger with French fries. Both our meals were delicious and service was excellent. My husband and I came by with our best friends to enjoy happy hour and play some poker. It was open seating and a few people trickled in after us. We sat for 20 minutes without menus or anyone coming up to us. Other tables that came after us got menus and drinks. We've all worked in the service industry and understand the challenges of being understaffed- however no one even acknowledged us! This tap house is the perfect hole in the wall restaurant for all your tap house needs. My husband and I went pre-COVID and loved their hot wings and burgers so much we decided to give them another go! Today I ordered a LA Kogi dog and my husband had the sweet heat burger. My hot dog was cooked perfectly and the flavors were absolutely insane. Everything went so well together, the bread was so soft, the pickled onions complimented the flavor of the slaw and the beef and it just all works well. The fries tasted so fresh with cracked salt and pepper and are also very flavorful. We ordered Boom Boom Shrimp for a starter and it gives me a soft reminder of the Shotgun Shrimp from Bubba's but tastes more fresh, along with a better sauce altogether, squirt some lemon over it to cut some of the heat and add acidity and *chef's kiss.* Overall this place is a must. Skip the big burger joints and bigger tap houses and come here. Locally owned joints always put more love and pride in their food and this place shows it.
