Trails Motel is fit our needs. We wanted a place about 2/3 into our drive to California. We arrived, checked in, a little concerned about parking since we didn't see any empty spots but he clerk said we could park on the other side of the pool. Kinda sketchy since it was right off the sidewalk, but it worked. The room had the essentials and a few perks-microwave and refrigerator, iron and ironing board, desk and chair and an extra pillow ( good since hubby left his at home, lol) The bed was comfortable, the tv had plenty of channels ( direct tv) and the AC worked well. The room was a little stuffy when we arrived so we opened the window for a bit. We could hear road traffic and I couldn't hear neighbors either. We would return and I loved the view that we missed when we arrived at night! Gorgeous mountain peaks of Mt Whitney. Also if you stay here and have time, visit the Film Museum next door

King size bed. Firm, the I like it.

This is a great little Hotel. Very clean and updated with new beds, sink counter tops, and electrical outlets with USB connections. A small-medium frig, microwave, and more. Very nice family that owns and operates the facility. Clean and ready to help you fell comfort. Also very quiet, even though we are right next to Highway 395. Never heard any outside noises.

My photography buddies and I spent a night here while in the area. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable and right on Main St.

Recently painted inside and out. New mattresses. Bathroom was sparkling clean. Will be a guest again in the future.

It looked like it had recently been renovated. The paint and carpet looked new. There was a fridge, micrwave and coffee maker with a large flat screen on the wall at the foot of the bed. The bathroom is all new, wtih granite bathtub surround. The hot water was very hot and strong water preassure. The room was reasonably quiet. It sits right on the highway, but the traffic noise was muted. The owner was very pleasant. The best part was the price. $66 for my wife and I. About the chapest price in town. If you are passing through and just need a room for the night, this would be my recommendation.

The fridge didn't work, which we didn't realize until we had to throw away $60+ in fruit and juices. The shower wouldn't drain and found rolled up tissues in the bed. If all that wasn't enough to complain to management, he woke us up at 4am singing (praying) for an hour in the room next to us where it seems theyre living. Finally was able to fall back asleep around 5am, only to be woken up 30 mins or so later from a VERY loud yelling and shouting phone conversation. Not sure if its worse not being able to understand the conversation, or not. But when we knocked to ask them to be quieter, they came to stand next to the wall to speak even louder! WTF? Lone Pine, CA is one of the most adorable country towns. Its so sad someone would purchase a business and then take no pride in it or the community it belongs in.

One parking spot per room located right out each room's front door. - I'm disgusted by their reuse of the shampoo. See photo. - I wish the restroom had more hooks or counters for you to put your clothes, towels, and whatnot. - For just one night, the price was a bit exorbitant. + However, I'm grateful the attendant was responsive on the phone late evening and this motel had rooms available as I finished my Whitney hike late night. . The room was pretty warm as soon as I walked in, but thankfully the A/C was working. . I prefer the sink not be completely separate from the restroom, but I understand it allows two tenants to accomplish two different tasks simultaneously. . The walls are thin, so you can hear neighbors having conversation by your window. Earplugs can help drown out the noise. I stayed one night: $151.20 total

It's an easy walk to several nice restaurants, including a local pizzeria. The service was kind and customer friendly and the room was clean and quiet. There have been renovations…read moresuch as shutters on the windows, new bathroom counters and fixtures, a new desk, and what looks like new carpet. The owners/employees are friendly and helpful. It's quiet despite being on the main road. Cons: The cleaning product they use is way too strongly scented, despite my poor sense of smell. I opened the windows and front door and ran the fans for about 20 minutes but it wasn't helpful. The toilet looked sudsy so I flushed that, hoping it would help. Nope. The worst part is, my eyes burn because of it. Reading or watching TV is out because my eyes tear up so much when they are open. So I took a nice walk up to the museum to get away from it, leaving my room windows open and the bathroom fan running. This has only happened to me once before in my entire life: when I spent a day in Fresno when they had an AQI of 149. That day, going inside a nice restaurant stopped the burning, so I knew it was the air outside. Lone Pine's AQI today is 8, so it's the air quality INSIDE the room here, not outside. Editing to add: 2nd day the smell decreased quite a bit, 3rd day it was gone. I've stayed here before with noticing any cleaning product smell. I'd chance it again

We arrived at 10 pm and were warmly greeted. We asked for and we're given a non smoking room. There was ample parking. The room was small, but tidy. They had the AC blasting when we walked in ... a little touch for which we were grateful. They have a pool ... we didn't use it so I'm not sure if it's heated. Before leaving we were pleased to see a nice ice machine to fill our ice chest. No bottled water in the room but the tap water is seriously great (not like back home... here the tap water is crisp and without a bad taste).
