I stumbled into this little hole in the wall after a bad day because there was an ice cream sign out front. I usually prefer healthy eating but was craving comfort food. I was surprised to find that ice cream was just a disguise. Really, its a fantastic juice bar offering gluten free, super healthy food options and bakery items. Not a lot, but just what you need. Everything I have ordered was fresh and delicious. I am visiting the area this week so I stop here every day for my Green Machine juice. They also make creative juicing cocktails like the Greena Colada and Coco Mango. And they have free Wi-Fi! I will miss this little place when I return to California. The ladies behind the counter are so nice too I have to mention that this is my favorite spot to hang out in Yorktown for sure. read more

What a LET DOWN! I had such high hopes for my first visit to the TC, but they FAILED. I follow them on Instagram and the pictures look so enticing, but I doubt I will be back. First, it is VERY expensive. I understand the area but the prices are very high. The reason I gave them 2 stars is because of he food. I ordered the tuna wrap with cranberries and apples and it was garbage. It was obviously pre-made and left the wrap soggy. The tuna itself was so laden with mayonnaise that it was like a pile of mush, and there was barely a piece of lettuce thrown it. It was more like a $h!+ sandwich than a real sandwich. It was so bad I only ate about a 1/4 of it and threw it out. If I wasn't in such a rush I would have brought it back and asked for a refund. I am sure there are good things on the menu, but what I had stunk. On a positive note, the smoothie and fresh juice I bought very excellent. Can't say I'll be back. If you are looking for a meal, this is not the place. They are very healthy, with smoothies and granola bars and salads. If you are looking for sandwiches or something of more substance, I would not recommend. Pricey as well. read more

Came here on a rainy day. I was so excited to try their juices and snacks since my wife told me to shed a couple pounds. I walked in not knowing what to expect. Only thing I knew so far is I drove 10 mins back and forth looking for parking since u can't park on the street and I was thirsty so I was craving some vitamin C. I walked in and the owner and employee we're standing there talking I was hoping for a welcome come in. In a less than 400sqft store, however after 8 mins no one has noticed me at all. I studied the menu and had some questions but still 12 mins later no help. I finally got fed up and left . Stood outside the door for 2 mins (umbrella-less) in poring rain debating whether giving them a second chance but still no one came to seek help what a terrible way to run a business. read more

I have been coming to Trailside since they opened because I can honestly say their smoothies are top notch! Literally the best. Since I come 2-3 times a week, I know their prices, and a smoothie was always about $6.79. Now this isn't necessarily pricey, but it isn't cheap for a relatively small or average sized smoothie. However, this weekend I went to get my usually smoothie only to find out they upped their prices, and now the same smoothie costs $8.05. At first I thought I heard the cashier wrong. I just can't see how they can justify an 18% increase in price, without changing the size. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, which is a shame because this place really does have great food. read more

I was about ready to gnaw my own arm off while driving through Yorktown at 4:00 in the afternoon when I decided to see what this place was all about. I'd driven by a bunch but they were always closed by that time and this was finally my chance. Spoiler alert: DISAPPOINTING $20 for a smoothie which was mediocre at best and a felafel wrap that tasted like dog food. I didn't order it but the wrap came with a rock hard mango on the side that was by no means ready for human consumption. I kid you not, I was starving. I'd been up since 7:00, it was now 4:00, and I hadn't eaten a damn thing all day. I would have eaten dirt with a smile. And even then I found myself severely disappointed with every overpriced bite. read more

The make your own acai bowl was great. Was exactly what I wanted after a long bike ride. It's right next to the trail! I'll definitely be back when I ride through town again. It was also really nice that we could eat outside and watch our bikes, considering none of us had locks. read more

Here's the deal, this place is terrific! first of all, name me two places in all of Westchester County where you can get organic, vegan and gluten free, homemade, fresh baked stuff? yes, it costs a little bit more than the chemicals in a Cup you get at the froyo places, so if you want chemicals and sugar in a cup for $5, go there. I dont think $7 for a smoothie with the type of ingredients offerred is unfair. further, the Acai bowl is as good as you get anywhere. Delicious. Last, salads and sandwiches served to your liking and also amazing and healthy. We started going during bike rides but now we make special drives to the Cafe and love it. Customer service is great, Jill and her team have it down. We highly recommend this place. read more

After walking the track w my buddy we went here for smoothies and a quick bite. The place is small and cute with indoor and outdoor seating but it was raining so we had to stay inside. They have a large raw juice and smoothie menu and everything is super fresh. They have soups, salads, and sandwiches all fresh and healthy. Many of them are vegan and gluten free. I ordered the morning delight smoothie which was great. I also had a cup of the broccoli cheddar cashew soup which was tasty but overpriced. The items are not cheap: $6-7 smoothies, $8-9 juices and the food is a bit pricey but again, everything is super fresh. My friend got a panini similar to the ones at Pksl Coffee House. She also got a berry smoothie which was very good. I like the place and when i go back on a nice day i anticipate giving a 4th star bc i will sit outside. read more

Yorktown is filled with good food but often times pretty unhealthy so it's relieving to see a place like this. Great on weekends to sit outside, they have some pretty good options for juices and smoothies. Sandwiches are nice too - not the most affordable place in town but definitely the healthiest and well worth the money in my opinion. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. read more

I used to come here VERY frequently, but in the last few months the staff has changed over and the new staff is rude and lazy. I stood there ten minutes before being asked what I wanted, and the past three times I went they were out of sandwiches and refused to make new ones. I hate to do this, but now all it deserves is less than one star. Maybe under new ownership? Either way they need to clean up and get that staff out of there and restock their food. read more

Stopped by to pick up two smoothies which I ordered ahead of time. One was a smoothie on the menu, another was a "custom" smoothie. When I arrived the custom one was very watery. The worst part was it was almost $10! Are they kidding? On the upside, I ended up taking it back inside and getting my money back. Two smoothies were $18. Super disappointing because I always loved going here, but won't be with the increased prices and decreasing quality. I truly think they were just having a off day, and suggest everyone check them out because their food is very good. But be aware of the price increase. read more

Pros: I love that they have vegan and gluten free options. Their falafel wrap is delicious and filling (gf and vegan too)! Lots of smoothie and juice options and healthy pastries. Coffee is good and they have lots of dairy free milk options. Staff is friendly. Cons: Salads are ok, mostly greens and little dressing. Friend tried a chicken wrap and it had no dressing on it, very dry. Muffins sometimes taste old, like they've been refrigerated or frozen. Came here when cafe was suppose to be open in the morning and there was no one there. Waited 10 minutes before finally leaving. This has happened twice now. Frustrating when you've planned to have that as your breakfast before work and have to figure something else out last minute. Falafel wraps always take a while to prepare, so don't order if you're looking for something quick. I still come here on occasion, but never near opening time. read more

Recently moved to the area from BK. Everyday is nature filled paradise! The quality of life here is amazing yet, the food game, not so much. One of the major transitions from city life is the lack of "healthy" food options. When I say good food, I am not expecting 5 star anything. Just looking for fresh, ingredients that don't come out of a can injected with a ton of ingredients I can't read. Organic is a major plus...That said, TRAILSIDE is the ONLY cafe in YORKTOWN that attempts to serve organic "healthy" options for breakfast and lunch. Their smoothie game is strong. Prices are HIGH for YT yet, on par with BK or NYC food prices. I don't mind paying extra for "organic" as long as it's truly organic, FRESH and tastes great. The breakfast wraps, muffins and salads are all solid. Thank goodness this place exists! In fact, the next "organic" or "farm to table" restaurant investor should forget the high taxes of the "river towns" or "Bedford" and look into opening something in YTH, they would make a fortune as there is zero competition! read more

Trailside Cafe is my go to place for my favorite cup of coffee, the rascal latte!! Their breakfast wrap keep me energized and satisfied for the day while the green breakfast smoothie is not only nutritious but delicious. My 3 year old son loves coming here for freshly squeezed orange juice, veggie chips and to write on the big chalkboard in the back room! They have outdoor seating in the front and a patio area in the back, perfect for grabbing lunch on a beautiful day whether you're bike riding on the trail or just stopping in for a healthy bite. Trailside Cafe offers something for everyone whether gluten free, dairy free, vegan. If you're not sure what to order, worry not! The staff is accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable on the products sold. Corinne is wonderful! I stopped into the Trailside Café last week because I was in the mood for a smoothie. It's hard to find juice bars in Northern Westchester and I had been referred to this place by a family friend. Unfortunately, the service was not what I would've expected from a small, and what seemed to be, family-owned business. The café was not busy but it took the employee who was working quite a while to even acknowledge that I was waiting to be served. Not to mention, when he finally acknowledged I was there, his demeanor was not a very friendly one. The smoothie, however, was quite delicious! read more

I frequently come here when I bike through the country trailway. If you're into eating healthy, this is the place to go. Go order the breakfast wrap, it's delicious and nicely priced. The menu is varied. Also they have bagged food and smoothies, but I wouldn't indulge in that nonsense if you're actually serious about health. The service however is inconsistent, depending on who is working. But the employees do sometimes go out of there way to see that you're satisfied, so gotta give them kudos for that. read more

I just bought an omega 3 salad there. When I got home I opened it and it was slimy and old! Ew. I've noticed the quality has gone down since they first opened. Hopefully corrections can be made because it really is a great cafe! read more

I was attracted to this cafe because of its attempt to be "green," offer really healthy food and the cute atmosphere. It was the first place I saw the boxed water-is-better water and I thought this is a place really on the right path. I've been there several times and just wish they would get it right. In the summer the place was so freezing we had to leave. (The staff said they were not allowed to turn the AC down.) The quinoa spinach salad I had today was unremarkable, but ok. But it was served in a plastic bowl with a plastic lid (which the server assured me was recyclable, as if that is a good thing) on a (totally redundant) paper plate. And this place is supposed to be "green." Really?! Oh, and I was given a plastic spoon to eat my salad with. Note to owner: you can't pick up a raw spinach leaf with a spoon and plastic is not good - even if it can be recycled. TONS of cost and raw materials goes into making that single-use bowl which now has to be broken down and made into something else. And why waste the plate -- I already had a bowl! The plates go straight in the trash. This is the kind of place that should be composting; serve food on real plates, or how about those consumable utensils we've been reading about. Come on, Trailside. You can do much, much better by the environment. read more
