The stencils and stamps the did have left were very old and didn't work. Also, the employees just seem really absent minded and not knowledgeable or interested. And whatever you do don't forget to take a picture of your art work before you go. If you don't, they will have no way to figure out if it's finished. They won't call to tell you it is finished. And if you don't go get it within 30 days it will be destroyed. Their system is very archaic and dysfunctional. They don't tell you that you have to take a picture, you're somehow just supposed to know this. Also, expect to spend at least $75-$100, which I think is very over priced. Just go somewhere else instead.

There are great inspiration pieces all around the shop and they usually have seasonal items out. You paint your item, they fire it for you, and you come back in a few days to pick it up. I believe you can also use their clay and make your own items as well! For the pre-made ceramics you paint, you pay one cost for the items and that includes the paint and firing. If you don't finish a piece in one sitting, you can bubble wrap it, take it home, and bring it back to finish another day! Feel free to bring your own food and drink!

As always, they had a lot of clearance, I had a coupon for full price goods, and I had store rewards coupon so I walked out of there with $40 worth of paints but only spent $25. If you love to craft and aren't a Michael's Rewards member... why?

When you're coming out of the parking lot and wanting to turn back onto Barrett Parkway; this can be a challenge. There is a center chicken lane that all of the other stores empties out of and sometimes you have to wait quite a while before you can maneuver your way outta there. (Personally I just make a right like I'm going to the Joanne's behind here and make a quick U turn at the light by Joe's Crab Shack....) If you're looking for crafty stuff. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to talk to. I especially loved creating my own terrarium, and it was reasonably priced--I'm 100% pleased with how it turned out. I made it with air plants, pebbles, and a charming little turtle. Every time I look at it, it gives me a calming vibe. Every year I do those Operation Christmas Child where you fill a shoe box size container with stuff…read moreand it's sent to kids overseas. Most years I'll go to Walmart for this stuff or Target and buy a bunch of stuff from the travel size bins. This year however I've decided I'm going to change up and try this place out. Some of the items that I will pack into these boxes are pencils, notebooks, chap sticks, nail clippers, tampons, sunglasses, crayons, etc. I was able to pick many of these items up for just under a buck or two. Plus I saw some more items here such as slippers and fuzzy socks that I think will also go great in these boxes. I didn't need any help shopping on my trip here but I was approached by a sales associates offering to help me find stuff which I appreciated. BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE!…read more This is some of the most beautiful pottery I have seen in a long time. The combination of colors and the way they just meld together is beautiful. Normally when you see pottery at the festivals it tends to be just bowls and cups, but this vendor had beautiful serving dishes, soap dispensers, jugs, urns and large mugs that looked like stacked mugs. The items were very colorful and unique. All of their items are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe so there is no need to worry about care and function. Malsnee Pottery is located in Woodstock and I will definitely be visiting their store when I am in the area.
