This is an artist dream. They have probably whatever you need for whichever medium your craft is. My gentleman friend took me on Valentine's Day and I found a fluorescent pink 7mm mechanical pencil. I never knew I needed a pencil so badly. They carry the Ferris Wheel Press inks and a few others but I can't remember the name. Most of the inks cost the same as they would online but you don't have to pay shipping and you can view the swatches to get a good idea of the color you're buying. So happy businesses like this still thrive in Atlanta

I saw that they host events for people to come in and work on their fiber arts a few times a week so this sold me on visiting! When I stopped in, I was greeted and there was space for me to sit down. After the introduction the instructor picked out a wood circular knitting needle for me. The reason for choosing the wood I was told it would help hold the yarn better for a beginner versus a metal needle. When it came time to choose the yarn I was told to make my choice from a small area. I picked a mustard yarn. The next day I received an invoice from the store because I didn't pay for the items. Silly me. I assumed because I was only allowed to pick out from a certain section that it was included with the lesson that I had paid for. Unfortunately, because the yarn I chose was quite small. It has been difficult as a beginner working with it. There have been a lot of starts and stops which I would expect but more so because of the size of the yarn. I have since learned as a beginner I should have a bulkier yarn. When I left that day, I had not gotten the hang of the cast on, or the knit stitch. Five minutes before the class was to end we had just finished casting on and that didn't leave much time for the knitting since the store was opening. Since taking the class I have been able to get the hang of the cast on and the knit stitch thanks to Sheep and Stitch on YouTube. I think the reason I didn't get the hang of it in the store was because of the teaching style. It just didn't mesh with my learning style. I would definitely recommend the classes to anyone here. Very professional staff. Because the yarn I ended up purchasing isn't good for beginners. I did call the store to see if I could exchange it, but I was told they would not accept it because it had already been wound. The staff was very nice. They were very helpful when customers came in.

Glenda was our instructor- We each had a workstation and she explained very thoroughly the entire process. It wasn't intimidating at all-she was very sweet and super knowledgeable. We basically had free reign over all the different glass supplies and tools to create whatever we wished! I chose something quite technical and Glenda was happy to walk me through the difficult parts, She was as involved as we wanted her to be, so it was a relaxed and fun environment with snacks and music and we didn't feel rushed. There are classes for all skill levels- this would be perfect for a girls night out and they even have a couples class! I'm looking forward to receiving the final product when it is finished in the kiln. I will probably be coming back for another fun project. The location is a bit far away, but the experience was well worth the trip.
