Luckily I met Brianne and she helps me so much! I normally hate cardio but Brianne customized my workouts so that the cardio I have to do isn't boring. The way that they structure the exercises really helps you get muscle activation and lift healthy. I have a tendency to get tendinitis and it scares me to do repetitive exercises because I don't want to get inflamed. The workouts at the strength code help me lift heavy with no pain. I also do calisthenics and some bodyweight workouts, and I feel that combining those with the lifting from the strength Code is really setting things off nicely.

I am 67 years old and I was getting weaker with each passing year. I just couldn't drag myself to…read morethe local gym or stick to a workout regime. My daughter found Pure Strength. I've been going twice a week for four months and am thrilled with the progress. The training is initially about form and understanding the approach, and it seemed light at first -- but I followed the process. After a couple of months, I was getting pushed hard. I am now able to easily get up from a lying down position without using my arms for support which is a HUGE development for me. The workout is intense, but it's only a half hour and the 1:1 staff is there to get you motivated. This program is a real gem. I now feel motivated to be more physically active in general. The program is more costly than a regular gym membership, but well worth it for me given the quality instructors and the results. From personal experience, I don't think a regular personal trainer could have safely achieved the same results.

As an undisciplined person who has not included weight training and really distained the idea of going to the gym, it is a doable practice that I have managed to keep up with over the long haul. I'm a 48 year-old female who was doing yoga everyday -- generally fit but maybe a little too slender and frail. Alec put me on a training regimen of heavy lifts at my requests - squat variatons, deadlifts, a little bit of upper body (bench presses, shoulder presses, back rows, lat pulldowns). I feel great after every workout -- he pushes me to my limits, but with a smile and gentle encouragement. He makes me believe in myself. I have felt so proud of myself after starting this journey -- I've put on about 5 lbs, mostly muscle.
