It was a bit strange today having only one person swimming in the giant pool. It was overcast and rainy, Saturday evening... I guess I was the only one that needed to do laps but, when you're face down in the water, you don't really see anyone else or talk to anyone else. This is my favorite swimming/exercise spot . Can't say enough about it. Don't forget, the membership here also allows you to go to the other Reno area pools. Including Idlewild, north Northwest and Mount Evelyn or Evelyn Mount whatever it is. The building, locker rooms, seating areas, parking lot and outdoor areas look good. If you haven't been and you are thinking it is just another community pool like Alf Sorrenson or Idelwild, it is not. This is a jewel in the Parks & Rec. Department's offerings. This facility gets bonus points for being fully self sustainable with the hot springs and solar. The rates are reasonable with discounts on Wednesday evening and Sunday. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

I've recently moved to the area and stumbled on this park while walking my dogs. It seemed that the water source was a single drinking fountain at the restroom at the furthest point of the park. Given that there are tennis and basketball courts in addition to a playground, I'd have thought more than one would be available, especially one to fill bottles and one for dogs. The available fountain was dirty and had low water pressure and the bathroom was closed. I also didn't see a single trash can which may be a problem for some who aren't/weren't expecting to haul trash out with them. There is a large area behind the restroom that is currently wasted space- an additional pavilion (with grills) and grass would be great. Overall, clean park that's great for a quick outing with young kids or those looking to play tennis or basketball, but I likely won't be back as it's lacking the amenities I'd need while out.

Currently they are learning to play in class with Coach Randy. He is wonderful with younger kids like mine. He makes the class so fun, but still teaches important foundational skills. My kids look forward to attending every week, and I love getting them outside to get their energy out. I am so happy there is such a wonderful tennis program for kids at this age!

I forget at times that this water play park is even here, and I was glad to be reminded of its existence. My toddler and I had a blast playing for hours. I never had summer babies, but I always told myself that if I did, birthdays would be celebrated at the pool or waterparks. It's super affordable fun for the kids here, and they sell cold drinks and Popsicles. The restrooms are well maintained. We were able to have fun with family, and the kids all enjoyed themselves. Who am I kidding, I had just as much or maybe more fun playing with my little. My kids and I will be back before this summer ends. Thanks for a memorable time with my kids.

A big highlight for this gym is what they do for their members and the events they have. There is an online sign-up sheet on the website and a calendar that lets you know the free climb nights. There is a limit for free sign-ups (day pass) after the limit, it's a discounted price. Stop by on a free climb night check and see if rockclibing is a sport you want to pursue! She has also done a day camp prior and that was a great experience from a parent perspective. She overall had fun but was nervous since it was a new sport. I have used the exercise equipment as well, which is good but it can be busy because the focus are the climbing walls with the supplement. They offer group classes as well. I have not done them yet, but my plan is to do some of the Yoga. I like that they are community inclusive. There are different nights at the gym and there have been events where there are local vendors showcasing their products.
