I really enjoyed my massage at Tranquility. I felt like they really paid attention to my body and where i had tight areas and worked on those spots with deserved attention, not a generic massage. I believe the owner is trained in medical massage techniques and I felt the most relief from my back pain I've ever felt from a massage. I really appreciate that they let you pick essential oils that they incorporate into the massage. I found that it helped me to relax instantly and to breathe well. The actual building is a plane jane multi unit office building and is located on the second floor. Called to book. Immediately upon mentioning a Groupon, the FIRST available appt was 6 weeks out (late March). I then asked what was open in terms of late afternoon and weekends and it went to late April. I asked if a 2-3-month wait was normal and he told me "this wasn't McDonalds." I gave an extra star only because I appreciate the sarcasm. In any case, I'll take my sarcasm appreciation and pocketbook elsewhere. Went this afternoon to redeem a Groupon I scheduled last month... and walked into an empty space where the office was supposed to be, including a For Lease placard in the office listing. I get that real life happens, especially in single owner businesses. However, I received no heads up from the owners via text or call, no response to my texts, and a full voice mail. I drove an hour each way for this treatment. Contacting Groupon in a few minutes to turn this useless voucher into something useful. read more

Very odd experience. My mother bought me a Groupon for a service but when I called no one answered then I got a text asking "can I help you?" I didn't recognise the number so asked and they responded "you called". I asked to book an appointment and was asked how did you hear of us and when do you want to come in. I said a Tuesday and they texted we're closed Tues/Wed /Thur. We settled on a Sun then they texted I'd have to pay $5 to book the appointment. When I explained I've never paid to make an appointment and asked if this was because I have a Groupon they texted back that I should just ask for a refund since I'm not happy..... My husband and I purchased the reflexology and detox Groupon. Wow!! We LOVED everything about our experience. The atmosphere, lighting, music were all perfect. Both ladies were knowledgeable, personable and worked side by side. They both educated us and identified areas of our bodies that are trouble spots, while providing excellent suggestions on how to treat these at home. My husband said his feet and legs feel completely different and that he would happily go back again. For him to say that says a lot as he is not one for any kind of massage. Decent prices and the people were VERY nice! I was offered wine, cider and a plate of cookies. Downfall is you have to pay to park and her massage table is outside. Brrrrr! He made sure I was warm, but it's distracting for sure. It's a make shift massage parlor with a see through ceiling, although no one is that close. She's got plastic up everywhere to keep the breeze out and you can hear it flapping in the wind, horns honking and people talking. When I get a massage, I like it to be dim and really warm. Bought a Groupon for me and my husband for a 90 minute massage hoping that this would turn into a place where we got massages more often. I called on a Friday to make an appointment, and they want to make an appointment through a text message (which isn't the worst thing). They didn't get back with me until Tuesday night at 5:30pm, giving me a very confusing text stating times. Then they said that Groupon messed up that we could only schedule a 60 min and pay an extra $20 for the 90 min massage. Now, why would Groupon mess that up? Sounds to me as though they are trying to scam customers out of more money. When I contacted Groupon they stated that other people that bought the package also complained about the same problems. I wish I could give this place a 0 star review. Angel canceled on my fiancé and myself two times in a row on two different occasions. He is unprofessional and I believe he steals peoples Groupon money. He said two months apart he is "understaffed" and can only do a singles massage. Sounds perverted and this company should be put out of business. So do not buy a Groupon from this company or even go there unless you want to be ripped off! read more

Did a couples massage and it was great! Relaxing atmosphere with choice aromas. Selected the Swedish massage and the pressure was good. Neck, shoulders and calves felt great. A little light on the foot massaging. Make sure you check the address because they recently moved and we showed up to their old address. We purchased a couples massage with chocolate & wine from Groupon. We scheduled an appointment, arrived, paid for parking (no customer parking), and was told one of the masseuse's called (at our appt. starting time) to say she wasn't coming in. We made another appt. on the spot. We gave our phone number if there were to be any changes with our appt time. We went to our appt the next week, drove the 30 min. to Manitou again, paid for parking again, knocked on the locked door, and NO ONE was even there this time. We waited 30 min., called several times (no answer). Our appt was for 10:30, and we never got a call back until @ 2:30pm. The message/excuse was that there was "miscommunication". read more

My wife went to her appointment and when she entered the premises, Angel (owner) had just fired her receptionist and hired a person who was physically Challenged. My wife was expected to communicate by some sign language or written word. My wife and I have always been involved in the Customer Services excellence, but this experience prove very poor indeed. I have left 4 voice messages and left my contact info, but no response. This has been an extremely unhealthy episode for both of us. My son bought me a Groupon for a 90 minutes massage with cookies and cider. I tried to book an appointment but they had nothing available for over a month. I ended up having to schedule a time slot via text message. I just realized I never got any confirmation or reminder and missed the appointment! I can't comment on their massages, but be ready for a long wait and no follow up. read more
