My Son, his friend and the working Corvette.
    Robert M.

Honest service with no unnecessary work. "C" helped us, very knowledgeable. Super fast turn around. Very open to Questions and friendly. They worked on my Son's 2002 Corvette C5, not an easy car to work on. Great place....

I'm really impressed with the people here!

05/05/23 Yesterday Sy was helpful in checking to see if I simply had a loose battery cable. I did not. It appeared that my starter was beginning to fail and I had intermittent starter issues. He said I could wait until it "acted up" again and let him know or since I have AAA, I could wait until I needed to be towed in. After talking to my husband and checking my service records, I decided to take it in and just go ahead and replace my starter. I called Tran's Auto Repair this morning to see if they could take me. Gil said if I got my car there in the morning, they could take care of it. Sure enough. I got it there and by early afternoon, Sy called and said it was done. When I picked up my car, there was a gentleman picking his car up too. I asked if he had been coming to Tran's for a while. He told me, "Yes! I've been coming for at least 30 years! Good people" I thought that was a great endorsement. I paid Mr Tran and my bill was less than what other shops quoted me! Car is running great and I'm looking forward to working with them for any future auto needs. Thank you Sy and Tran's Auto Repair! 05/04/23 Very impressed with the service and communication from Tran's Auto Repair. Very professional and knowledgeable. Price is good. Think I found my go to auto repair shop here. Thank you.

I called late at night and Cesar responded within minutes and we got it scheduled the next morning. He was also giving me live text updates. I called around so many shops and the avg price was $120 - $250. I even had the option to get a new tire, so they seem to have everything on hand, and the tow and new tire would've cost $270! Super inexpensive. I would def come back here again. My tires were perfect.

Predatory towing!!! My car was towed from parking area at a…read morelot where I was shopping. When I tried to get it back by calling the number provided on the sign a very rude girl answered. She proceeded to act like she was a police officer including demanding to speak with shop owners. She insisted the tow company asked each of the shop owners if that was a customer car before towing it however if that's the case of the 3 shops at the lot, than why would they need to ask all 3 unless no one acctually reported the car and they specificly target that small lot hoping to see a car they can potentially tow for a quick money grab . Which is exactly what one of the shop employees revealed when he was speaking to me after this situation happened and I was trying to get an address of the tow yard. And I witnessed it as I was at the lot waiting to get the information the same towing company truck came back to the lot and circled it with in a short time frame ( when at that point I was there and talking to all 3 shops owners/employees so I know they were not contacted and were simply doing tow rounds to see if any cars had been there since they last circled). Hence predatory towing!!! This way they can then go to each of the 3 shops and ask if that's a customer's car however obviously the shop owners won't know which customer owns which car so they quickly tow it and basically get a cash grab .... The little girl on the phone service refused to accept the employees account over the my phone when she asked to speak with them and they verified i was a customer and had been in the store. She proceeded then to question them aggressively about times and reciepts for purchases ( this was a Chinese gentleman who was getting very uncomfortable whith the way she was battering him with her questioning and aggressive stlye. He simply explained i was I had indeed used his store he wasn't sure of the exact time and she continued to battered him about the exact time until he finally gave me the phone back and said I gave her the correct information she asked for but I dont know exact time. She acted like she was the police questioning a criminal when she obviously isn't and was extremely unprofessional poorly trained... it took 5 times of calling the auto get her to revealed the address as she kept letting it go to voice mail ( which is in fact illegal in a private tow posted phone number) There's supposed to be a 24 hour pay by phone number listed. SHE would not accept the shop owners account that I was indeed there. She then said I would need to go to the address of the towed vehicle at 930 Pm even though it was over an hour from that time . When I arrived in a Uber I tried calling the number to make sure there would be someone coming and agian voice mail... I arrive at 915 so at 930 when no one showed up and I was stuck in a very dark and isolated areas alone I called the police number. They were finally able to reach her through there number and she said someone was on the way. I explained this was dangerous for me to be standing in such an isolated place latest night alone female and her person meeting me was still not there and late at this point and her response was don't worry nothing going to happen there and she hung up on me ... They tow guy finally arrived over 20 minutes late. I did have a written statement I gathered from the shop owners that I was indeed at the shops signed by them and I do have an ATM reciept also time stamped from the ATM machine in the market. When I asked for my itemized invoice from the employee that charged my card 680.00 and released the car and happened to be the guy who towed it in the first place and his name which they are legally supposed to provide along with a customer rights document he didn't provide any of that and would not answer me when I asked what time he towed this car and who indicated this tow in the fist place. HE ONLY provided me a receipt for my payment made under duress and a company card with only bussiness name and number on it ( NOTHING ELSE).This too is illegal and falls under Predatory and wrongful towing practices. I DID try to call the original signage phone number when I arrived home this time same girl answerd I explained it wanted the itemized tow invoice and I asked her the time my vehicle was towed she asked for my license plate number and agreed that I should have received that information and she would send it to me in a pdf however before I could give it to her she yet again hung up on me after I asked what time they in fact towed me ( obviously not with on the one hour rule ) Agian Predatory towing! THIS company is completely unprofessional and untrained in proper private property towing laws of San Mateo County! They should be investigated throughly. THEY have figured out a way to illegally tow people's vehicles and basically strong arm you into paying for the exorbitant rate to get your car back . EVEN when wrongful tow!!!!!

Yesterday, they completed a tire and wheel change and alignment on my Corvette and some very wide, low profile and difficult to mount run flats. The works was done exactly on time with great results and not a scratch on the rims, all TPMs and balanacing and alignment seem perfect and the price, while little higher than other places, was still fair and worth the quality work. The service advisor Dawn was great to work with and she over-communicated well, and they are just a solid, reliable, high quality shop I'll keep using and recommend to others and I've had no complaints at all on any work they have done. I also appreciate the professionals there and the low turn over in the shop.

They told me what would be involved and that they would not be able to work on it without it costing a fortune. A less than honest shop might've tried to soak me for a repair job that ends up costing more than expected. I know, because others have tried that. These guys gave me an honest appraisal, and I remembered that when choosing a shop to work on my wife's car. We had just bought a 2006 BMW 330 ci, and like clockwork, just after the 30-day warranty expired, we had problems. It had just rained torrentially for three straight days and unbeknownst to us, the drainage ports in the trunk were completely clogged, allowing water to build up and penetrate to the electrical system. We noticed the dash lights, indicators, and steering wheel controls did not work. We brought it to Toole's with the hope that it was something easily diagnosed and fixed. It wasn't. To keep an already long story from getting much longer, I will just say that it was a 4-day-long diagnosis as the problem component(s) were not easily found, even with advanced diagnostic equipment. They sought out expert advice from other professionals who specialize in BMWs. The problem component was found and replaced. I originally agreed to three hours of labor, but since it went as long as it did, I happily agreed to an extra hour. So essentially, they stuck to the agreement plus a reasonable additional amount. I tried to add on a tip but they wouldn't accept it. We bought them pizzas instead. I recommend this shop because they're honest, friendly professionals who seem to really want to help out their customers while running a respectable business.

The first time they did what they were supposed to but also added all sorts of nonessential, foolish, 'let's see if the old lady falls for this' service recommendations. It immediately reminded me of back in the day when car salesmen pushed undercoating. Also not necessary. I politely declined the extra +/- $1,000 (!) services. I tried again about two weeks ago when I went in for a problem with the driver's side window. Give them a second chance. The young man told me, to my face, that it would cost $260 **just to look at the problem**. In deference to his youth I did not say what I was really thinking, asked him to repeat the quote, said thank you and left. Here's the thing - women are actually not stupid and this kind of thing happens to us all the time. It is infuriating and highly insulting. Ask any woman you know to tell you her version of these experiences. Finally, the core issue is being disrespected. No one wants that. Oh, the end of the story is that I went to another shop nearby and the guys looked at the problem immediately, fixed a minor adjustment and did not charge me. BTW, they had three or four bays: BMW, Lexus, Mercedes so clearly they were trusted. Just saying. Bye.
