The monthly price is 69% higher than when I was last a member 5 years ago which far outpaces inflation with no additional benefits. Whatever. I moved back to Deerfield and purchased an unlimited use package that provides 3 guest passes per month. My first payment was 9/11/25. I went in with a guest today for a class today and they told me they sent out an e-mail in October saying they cancelled ALL guest passes. One month after they sold me 1 thing they now destroyed a HUGE part of the packages value. Forget about the embarrassment of being treated like $2000.00 annually was not enough while an important relationship was strong-armed into paying $30 for a guest. Yoga Joint's policy requires that when I cancel, I have to pay for another month before cancellation is accepted. Sounds like a bait and switch but even if not, they will need to refund that last months payment. Fortunately I cancelled this membership in October because they had charged me excessive fees mostly for classes that are half empty. Saturday morning is the only classes that I have seen filed to capacity. I did not read the fine print in my agreement as I had a towel, mat, yogi toe and bottle of water in my hand when I signed up for the recurring charges. So I begrudgingly ate those fees. Bottom line, I contacted my bank to fight this 1 month charge. The price somehow was $140.00 and now it's $169.00. Maybe the increase occurred in an e-mail as well. More BS. Either way it's gross that they don't warn us in class as they do advertise additional services in the yoga room once we have already set up. Bottom line: I signed up in September, they changed their policy the following month and that class they value at $30 and the 3 passes per month equates to a $90.00 value loss monthly or $1080.00 annually which is a 64% increase in the cost to this Yoga Studio. It's not ethical and it may even be illegal. Either way, their policy change voids their 1 month additional month requirement upon cancellation. They should have credited it back immediately as they knew this was happening and the reaction I had should was no surprise to them. They should have had an immediate and proper response. Many do not fight it probably because the money is insignificant to them and Yoga Joint doesn't lose enough business for them to care about the client. They didn't credit me back immediately, so I will do it my way. I expect them to fix this by the end of the day tomorrow. If not, educating as many people as I can in every possible way becomes my new second job. The Better Business Bureau and small claims court are on my schedule for tomorrow and Wednesday has additional yet different actions. It will continue daily until I get satisfaction that equates to my financial loss. I will pay the excessive fees to small claims and I will do so until the end because I will Not be taken advantage of. They should stick those costs to entitled wives with wealthy unknowing benefactors. They are not the only yoga studio in the area by a long shot and yoga is more business than moving meditations, community and positive energy lifestyles.

I finally found a yoga studio that I can get behind. I have tried for years to see what the…read morelululemon mafia was all fussed about when it came to Yoga. In my mind, if I am not blowing through 100 calories per hour, I am just not sure its worth my time. People raved about flexibility etc, but I just could not really feel any difference. Then, my friend introduced me to Keshava a few months ago and I really loved it and finally got it! To those who have said that this is not what they expected of 'classic' yoga and want to do sun salutations ad nauseum, then yeah this is definitely not it. Whats working for me: 1- This is actually hard... not like the typical 'stretching' yoga class or the dehydration inducing Bikram. I really loved how we held poses for a long time. I feel my muscle working and struggling the whole time. It is strangely relaxing to just breathe through the discomfort and recognize your body getting stronger. It may also feel harder since they actually adjust you into the right position for the best impact and stretch. No more cheating! 2- There is a strong focus on meditation... if I am not going to be blazing calories, I had better at least leave relaxed, at peace, mentally cleansed. Many classes I've tried while doing a thousand down dogs and salutations never left me feeling this good. Keshava's voice is crazy relaxing. I'm slightly addicted. 3- The price... $15 for 90 minutes! Sign me up! They also offer package deals for an even lower price 4- No two classes are alike... I learned so many new poses in one of these that I had never gotten in the various failed attempts I've made to like yoga previously. I love how I am pushed. Keshava's style is to be serious about yoga but to not take yourself too seriously. He is lighthearted and I love how just when you're at the moment of breaking a pose, he cracks a joke that makes you smile through the pain. If you take yourself too seriously, this may not be for you.

I bought a Groupon for 5 yoga classes (only $20!) and recently attended my first class, a 90 minute…read moresession. The space is nice, the music playing in the background is peaceful and well-timed, and the instructors have a great sense of humor. If you're someone who hasn't done yoga in a while, be prepared for an intense session. You'll be asked to breathe deeply and push yourself in maintaining the poses. The instructor tended to break tension by making jokes which helped a lot; I found myself laughing as much as breathing deeply at times. What I loved about the session was that there was a lot of breathing and meditation integrated into the practice. It wasn't just about the poses; as the instructor said, "I want you to smile in the midst of all the pressure, because that's what you'll be asked to do in life." I agree with other Yelpers who noted that it won't matter if you're a beginner since the instructor goes around adjusting your posture. As the classes are kept small, it never feels too crowded and the instructor is always very attentive. I also never felt self-conscious. Your muscles will be sore the next day, but it's well worth it. At the end of my session, laying down finally was bliss, and I felt like I had earned it. You'll leave feeling like a warrior, simultaneously rejuvenated and calm. The green tea (already hot and made to go) is such a nice touch at the end of the class too. I am looking forward to going back!

My body adapts to the heaters in the studio just fine and the heat makes me detox and sweat out all the bad toxins. I like to bring my water bottle to class but limit the amount of drinking while in your studio. Personally, I like to hydrate before and after class. I like how each instructor has a different style of heat to spice up any of the classes offered. And there are many classes offered which help the people who do not have a 9-5 job. One thing I wish was better was the spacing! It's a very teeny weeny studio and some classes I can't properly stretch enough because I feel I might bump into the person next to me! Overall, dear hotty you got many yogis such as myself who appreciate this studio! Sincerely, Me ~

The instructor for the night, Tamira I believe, was great! She helps correct you. For someone who is rusty on position names and correct posture, she was helpful doing certain positions close to me. The room is quaint and I enjoy the close knit family feeling of the studio. The heat is at the perfect temperature and the air is not so heavy I can't breathe. There's also a humidifier on to compliment the heat. Overall, very good first hot yoga experience. Will be coming back.
