They provided standard test etiquette with a decent results explanation. Upon arriving, I was a little thrown off by the feeling that I was somehow bothering the worker but I did order more tests as a bundle. It's been nearly a year and I've attempted to call Dexafit many times, leaving multiple messages, and text without any response. Their VO2 max machine is still down according to the online scheduling and AI text response. I wouldn't say this is a place you should never go, but I will say that other places offer the same services, with a working VO2max machine, better customer service at similar prices. Unless you live next door, I recommend you continue to shop around as this experience won't be a great one and Dallas has options.

You'd expect an emergency room to move with some sense of urgency, but that clearly wasn't the case here. Even after finally being placed in a room, things didn't improve. It took forever to get any kind of update from a doctor. We were left sitting there, unsure of what was going on, with no clear timeline or reassurance. It felt like we were completely forgotten. I understand ERs can get busy, but the lack of communication and urgency made an already stressful situation much worse. Patients deserve better transparency and care, especially in emergencies. I would not recommend coming here unless you have no other option.

He's very contemporary and up to date on the latest trends and technology in medicine. He's very low key and calm. His staff is very friendly and super helpful in all things from making appts over the phone to discussing your insurance benefits so you understand them. I know they have other practitioners (chiropractic care is available) but I've only seen the doctor. I can't really complain about that. Oh and they have a CRYO chamber. I was truly skeptical, my PCP had been really serious with me the last three years about having weight loss surgery, I refused due to all the horror stories I had heard / witnessed. When asked, "Did they do exactly as the doctor told them?", my answer was no, they hadn't. I agreed to research the process and make a decision. I visited Dr. Long at the Nicholson Clinic, he told me I was a good candidate for the surgery, but there was no hard sales press, no pressure, it would be up to me. I explored it, did all the required steps and determined if I really wanted to live a healthier life, this would be the tool for me. I started my pre-op diet at 294, and in less than 4 months I'm down 66 pounds and feeling better than I have since probably my 20's - I'm 53. I've done exactly what they've said, and it's the best decision I've ever made for my health. No more blood pressure medicine, knees don't hurt all the time anymore, I can buckle my airline seat belt, slide into a booth, sit in any chair, don't snore anymore and am enjoying going from a size 26 jeans to a size 18. I'm about half way or so to my goal, which is to be healthy. Dr. Long is great, Lindsey the Medical Assistant makes you feel like you're with your friend and confidant as she takes all your measurements - kind and not judgy. We spent an entire week calling Mary Martinez without ever speaking to her or receiving a callback. When we finally reached a manager, we were told she had contacted us, which was simply not true from our experience. I have lost count of how many calls it took just to get someone to answer the phone. Extremely disappointing treatment for patients going through such an important process.
