He also called me the morning of the appointment to let me know he'd be "12 minutes late!" :O SO many workers are always late...I really appreciate that especially since it wasn't even majorly late. He wore a mask and removed his boots without me asking. He was friendly and personable. He listened to my issues and then showed me the simple fixes that I can do myself in the future. He basically said "let me show you this so you don't have to call me to come out in the middle of the night..." This is a guy that knows customer service and isn't at all about trying to get more money out of you. He knows the importance of word of mouth and quality work. He is great and VERY fairly priced. I highly recommend him without hesitation.

We picked a 15 seer two stage furnace. We look forward to the five year ( twice per season) maintenance contract. Nice to think that there is reliability in the new a/c and furnace. Discussed options on Wednesday and they installed it on Friday. Efficient crew that was very polite and knowledgeable of what was needed. Certainly one of the companies that you should talk to when looking to do HVAC work.

If a two-stage furnace was wired or set up incorrectly and only ever ran in single-stage mode, the homeowner probably missed out on: Comfort benefits - two-stage furnaces are designed to run on low most of the time, giving more even heating and fewer temperature swings. Efficiency - the furnace likely used more gas and electricity than necessary. Longevity - constant high-stage operation puts more wear on components than normal two-stage cycling. It would worth having a qualified HVAC tech inspect the wiring, thermostat settings, and control board configuration.

The other company told me I needed a new compressor for $1699 and they took only cash. After a repairman ran off with $453 of my aunt's cash, I decided I did not feel comfortable giving the HVAC repairman $2000 (with labor) in cash. So, I told him I would seek a second opinion. I called STI Heating & Cooling who were booked for the week so I made an appointment for the following week. Ted arrived on time and was very professional. He took a look at my unit (which is 42 years old) and told me I needed a Hard Start Capacitor for $173. He also checked the amount of Freon (R22) told me I might need a little. He installed the capacitor and added a little Freon and my unit start blowing extremely cold air. Ted's work was great! He told me his father had an old unit like mines and he keeps him father's unit working. I told Ted the other repairman thought I needed a new compressor and Ted suggested maybe the other repairman was not familiar with older units like mine. I am SO glad I called STI Heating & Cooling! I told Ted they are now my go-to company for ALL my HVAC activities. I would highly recommend this company - they proved to be a huge money saver for me.

They scheduled an appointment about a week out. The morning of, we got texts from them confirming the appointment and name of technician. He arrived in the time window, saw what the issue was, confirmed what he planned to do, and the price given by V & L. He worked about an hour, even adding a shut-off valve for no additional cost. Once job was approved, we paid on the spot with a credit card, technician giving a hand written invoice and an email receipt from the company. They promptly followed up to see how the job went. It went perfectly. If we need plumbing again, we will surely call them. I just wish they'd left business cards behind in case someone we know needs a recommendation for a plumber.

I was told my order would arrive in two weeks, which sounded great, but that's when the headaches began. No one called to say there was a delay--I had to call multiple times just to make sure my microwave would arrive so my contractors could keep working. I kept following up to confirm delivery, and when the time came, they said my microwave was in but didn't mention that the stove had arrived too. I had to push for both to be delivered together. As for the dishwasher I ordered at the same time, it's been delayed three times, and no one ever reaches out. Every time I call for an update, I'm told they'll text me when delivery is scheduled. At one point, they even asked if I wanted them to contact our rep--really? I get told not to yell when I haven't even raised my voice yet, though by now I guess I am. This is our third delay, and they keep blaming it on the fact that I ordered black stainless steel. If that's the case, why does APT's website say it's available in a week, and Home Depot in two? I tried to shop locally, but all it's gotten me is frustration. I've purchased from them before and had a great experience, but this time it's left me regretting the decision entirely.

Not only were they on time, courteous, and reasonably priced, but they noticed that the motor in the heating unit was turning because the water had gotten into the electrical board and caused a short. They unplugged the unit and wrote down all of the information so we could have the board replaced before winter, by whatever company we wanted...and saved us the $800 it would have cost to replace the motor, which would have burned out had the short not been discovered. Honest, dependable and decent prices--what more can you ask for? Of course we'll call them to replace the board when the time comes!
