I only came in for a smog check and it was done very quickly. I passed even though I was a little worried. They probably saved me from failing by spotting a hose that I had "repaired" with some duct tape. They offered to change it and I accepted assuming I would have to pay a little for the work. They did not charge me a dime for changing the hose! The owner is a very friendly guy and seems very hands on in his shop. I could tell from how he dealt with me and the other customers that came in while I waited that he is a good, honest, business owner that just wants to do good work for his customers without ripping them off. Smog check in thirty minutes???? Yes sir! The gentlemen here took care of my smog check (which passed!) in thirty minutes! Luckily i was the only one there and they had just finished up on a previous vehicle. The gentlemen there were helpful and took my car, got my paper work running and allowed me to take a seat. I called and they said they had an opening and it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes to do a transmission fluid change.... so I took it in and 5 hours later it was done...... yes they did flush the coolant but they didnt say it would take an extra 4 hours to do that.....! updated.... this was a two star because they took so long to change transmission fluid and coolant flush. but after this review they are messaging me bothering me about my review.... so now it is one star. i dont want to be bothered by the business owner with they took FIVE HOURS! read more

These folks are just good people. We had a situation where the transmission failed in a Mimi Van that I gave my niece. She is a hard working Mom with 2 kids. She hurt her tailbone in a bad fall and I wanted to give her a gift to help her not another problem. We were both upset and need an understanding and honest shop to help us. Would she put 3,000 into the Van or give it up ? This is a LOT of money for her, they gave us all the confidence we needed to make the decision. I have had the worst experience at this place. They lied about replacing parts. I had them investigated by the Bureau of Automotive Repairs and it was indicated to me that I wasn't the first one. They are incredibly dishonest and rude. The "repair" that they performed for me did not fix my vehicle. After MANY assurances from them and hundreds of dollars, my car broke down. Their solution? Drive back from Los Angeles to Bakersfield (120 miles) and we'll see. Very dishonest. I would not wish my worst enemy service with these thieves. Had to go in to have my windshield replaced after a employee at a hardware store cracked it pretty badly. The customer service was amazing, they were able to quickly take my car in, and they finished in half the expected time. I took my car there to get a couple seals replaced with factory seals at least that's what they charge me for what I really got was my wheel bearings busted and some knock off squeeze gasket used on my rear axle in a place where it wasn't supposed to be used oh and they never cleaned the axle grease off my brakes so they still didn't work after I left no offense to the owner he has always been great but this mark guy he has working for him screwed me and is really messing up his business read more

This place is no longer in business, but I feel they should reap what they sew by these reviews anyway. I had my 2002 Isuzu rodeo transmission completely rebuilt by them. Twice. If that doesn't say enough, when I had a problem with my gear shift not going into park a year later, I took it to a trusted mechanic who told me they had ZIP TIED the gear shift part together (a hard piece of plastic, it had broken and instead of replacing or letting me know, it was held together by zip tie). I mean seriously. I guess I'm not surprised that they up and ghosted everyone, and I guess I can kiss my transmission "warranty" goodbye. read more

This is an extremely honest and reasonably priced business. We tried to get a smog test here, but their machine stopped working, so they didn't charge us at all. But they did point out how one of the parts on our car didn't have a CARB-number which would be needed to pass the visual inspection of smog -- this was an extremely valuable piece of information, which we got for free. Later, when we went here to fix our service-engine-light, they charged a single diagnostic charge and were committed to figuring out the problem, even though we had to come back another day when the light came back on after they fixed one leak. Their prices tend to be surprisingly reasonable compared to other places, and the employees were very willing to explain to us details of the car's problems and even show us. We came here just as the new manager was getting started, and he admitted that he was hoping he could continue the reputation of this place based on all the prior good reviews. And based on our experience with the employees here, their service is still definitely recommended. read more

I had a great feeling as soon as I talked to Jimmy on the phone about bringing my truck in. Then I had a even better feeling when the shop owner took time to help me instead of waiting for Jimmy to finish up with the customer he was helping. They worked fast to diagnose the problem then called and had a approval from my warranty company within 2 1/2 hrs of my appointment time. I had taken my truck to another shop that miss diagnosed the problem with my truck after having it for 5 days. They said it to me and every other warm body that walked in while I was there. First they bait you with the diagnosis ($90) then once you swallow that, they tell you they'll waive the cost if you let them fix it. Either way they've got your money. Write this down; Go to Autozone and buy a scan tool for less than $100 (INN30203 and CP9550). I only let them fix my vehicle because I needed it done immediately. Had my car towed to the location for repair of the transmission shifter and replacement of the rear deck support arms. When I went to pick it up I noticed fresh damage to the rear deck and the body. I had the manager inspect the damage who immediately denied responsibility indicating it looked like old damage. I illustrated how the damage could only have occurred during the replacement process but he still refused to acknowledge responsibility. Additionally, the tow company provided the driver vehicle inspection report that showed no damage to the vehicle at the time of pickup or drop off. Five hundred dollars for the authorized repairs and twelve hundred dollars for the damage they caused. Won't be going back to them anytime soon, suggest you don't either. read more

OK so I took my car here because I had a check engin light on my dash. They then charged my $90 dollars for a " diagnostic". Then they tell me that I have 2 catalytic converter codes, tell me that it's going to cost me $3,100 to fix them. OK well that is a lot of money so i took it for a second opinion. Well,well, well guess what, my car is NOT throwing any cat codes. So thank you for trying to screw me. I know I and a woman but I do know my cars. Love this place! The staff is phenomenal, they explain things thoroughly. I took in my vehicle to have the lock on my door fixed, the backup light fixed, oil changed and the gear shift issue taken care of- thanks to them...everything is working well again. The news wasn't good but they said let them get into it more and they would call. They called the next day with a better report. My husband and I recently took our vehicle to this establishment. The front office staff was completely unprofessional and even rude. The young lady in the front was more concerned with flirting with the mechanics than doing her job! We were waiting several minutes before we were even greeted and offered assistance, because she was having unsavory conversation with other employees. Management should really take a better look at who they hire and realize the individual in the front of the establishment becomes the face of the company. This young lady definitely gave us a poor reflection of this business. We will never be back and I hope management adequately addresses this situation, as I am sure it is not the first time this has occurred. read more
