These guys saved the day! We were on a 7 hour road trip in August when we realized our AC was failing. We called and they were thankfully able to get us in right away to repair the issue and get us back on the road. I had to take my 2015 Chevy Sonic in for some issues that came up unexpectedly. I called around and I was referred by Pep boys to go to Universal Automotive so I called and advised them of my issues that my vehicle was having and they advised me to bring it in so they can run a diagnostic test to see what exactly is going on with my vehicle. So I dropped it off and paid 95 dollars for the diagnostic check witch is not a bad price at all other places wanted to charge me 180 plus. They called me back in less then a day and advised me of the issues that are going on with my vehicle they explained everything in full detail to I authorized them to fix the issues. The customer service is GREAT they are very professional and do good quality work and they dont try to rip you off my car is completely fix and running like it brand new they also give Vetran Discount this is a major plus I will be Definitely be returning in the future if I need work on any of my vehicles come and check them out you will not be disappointed!!!!! read more

This shop is a go to the owner and his son are very honest and helpful, its a family ran business so I took my vehicle here for a check engine light. Their prices are very reasonable paid $95 for a diagnostic and their labor fee per hour is the same $95. That is less than any other repair shop. They are also open on Sat thats when they took care of my problem and had my truck running by the end of the day. Also they do smog checks for $25 thats the best in town it is usually near $60 anywhere else. I have been looking for a business that is willing to take on the challenges of repairing an older vehicle. I have a 1994 Hyundai Elantra 1.8 sedan and I have had numerous shops just flat out not willing to take the effort to work on my vehicle in fact I have been told to buy a new car and why are you still putting money in this car? even though it is paid off and I have a stereo system and paint job worth about $10,000 dollars and I love my car and I expect qualified mechanics to fix any car and why does it matter what the years the car is? I came over to this shop around 3:30 pm not realizing they were closed at 2:00 PM and they still took on the challenge on why I had issues with my check engine light coming on? I really have been frustrated with other shops not having the proper OBD1 scanner to diagnose what was going on with my car. They scanned my vehicle and worked on my car until 7:00 pm at night on a Saturday night even though they had other plans for a family dinner and Louie Cendejas and His father Jose the owner of business really showed me how to be family owned and personal is the only way to go. in fact the the office manager and mother of Louie was so polite and friendly really made feel like I was family. so I was referred by a repI table source , since I'm new in the area.. I have a hybrid model, of course I'm going to be cautious who I take my vehicle to. I was upfront with the error codes the issue that if that was on hand when I called in and I was gonna take my vehicle on a tow truck because it wouldn't start to the person that answered the phone so they could be aware 100% what the error code was and when I looked it up what the details may be there was a few due to the hybrid system and to please let the mechanic be aware. good thing is it was just the hybrid battery plug that got loose and all they had to do is push that in by hand all the way and Collett a day charge me 130 for the assessment not a problem.. I called them to let them know the air code was still showing up a week and a half later the same area code for the hybrid system they said I was gonna be charged the diagnosis charge again that that was a separate charge if I want to bring it in and said that was there the first time the car got towed in and he said he didn't tell me that and well that's the second issue anyways how does that not even the dealer does that is if you see it and is there when you're diagnosing it with your system why would you not take that error code off and why would you not diagnose it and let the customer know of this before you give the car back to the customer? Then argue that fact as a owner . Bad commonication skill 1st , 2nd saying for each issue a new diagnostic cost even if car is there in a 1 time visit . WTH? read more
