They will break something on your car and make you pay for it and tell you it's only ( e.g $47) and then to top it off the guy took where my hood rod goes and puts it on the side saying something is wrong with my hood latch because it's not closing and saying i need to fix it but turns out he was LYING ITS PERFECTLY FINE i just had to reattach it and my engine bay smells of cat piss ... Looked in Yelp for a place for a transmission oil change. Have little confidence in Jiffy lube and some of the chain oil service centers as most of the workers have little experience. We finally found a good mechanic for my mother's ford focus. From the conversation on the phone with Sue up until the visit to the shop, has been nothing but pleasant. I got my mom's car towed there first thing this morning which was at 8:00am they were 5 minutes late but no problem. We already had a transmission. John, the mechanic, and his wife Sue, office manager, are amazing. John is a great mechanic, and Sue is a very knowledgeable office manager. To have such a good and trustworthy mechanic available is beyond my usual expectations. I have been fleeced in the past by greedy dealerships and big name repair shops. To find such an honest and trustworthy auto mechanic shop is almost indescribable. I have written several restaurant reviews that are less than favorable. I call it like I see it. I recently had the automatic transmission rebuilt on my 2002 Honda Accord. After starting the work on the transmission, there were other things that needed replacement such as the valve cover gaskets and engine/transmission mounts, which I authorized. I have done work on my own cars for almost 40 years, and rarely take my car in for service, but the transmission rebuild was beyond my capability. The car was ready as promised and the transmission rebuild and other work done was exceptional at a fair price. The car has never run better. Horrible place do not take your car here.. I took my Nissan van their to get checked out and sue the lady told me it was my valve body not my transmission so I paid her to replace my valve body got my car n not even 2 weeks my car was doing the same problem. I took it back and she then said oh it's the transmission. I said how much more is that she said I charge 3000 but I'll charge you 1500 so when I got the money together I paid her the 1500 and she worked on my car. It took over a month to get my car back. I've driven it for 5 months and guess what my check engine light went back on. Its the same thing she 1st said oh it's the valve body since I have warranty she replaced it I got my car back not even a week n same thing basically she supposedly replaced it twice. I got my car back again with the same problem and now she saying it's my transmission she don't know what it is.. I've almost gotten into 4 accidents because my car was not fixed all the times I got it back and so I told her I want my money back because within a month I brought my car back 4 times and still the same problems well she don't want to give me my money back so I now have to take further action. I'm stuck with my car running like shit and on top of that she don't want to take responsibility for it. read more

Good and honest mechanic. They replaced my front left axel in no time. Dropped it off at 8am on a Saturday and the repair was done by 10am. They were also going to diagnose(free if I fixed the issue there if not $75 fee) a problem for me because my car was over heating at high MPH. They found the problem and ordered the part(for following day arrival). They were prompt in fixing my car, knowledgeable in finding my problem, and overall honest. I thought there was something wrong with my transmission/acceleration, victor checked on the computer and there weren't any codes. We still went on a test drive, he drove it around and went up to the speeds that I told him it felt off. He asked for more details as to what made me think was wrong. He explained it to me what it might have caused it since when he drove it felt fine. His explanation made sense. I asked him about changing the transmission fluid to which he said he think I had to change it once it hit 30000 or 35000 but wasn't sure. He took pictures of my cars info and took my number so they can call me back with the correct info. A few hours later, sue called letting me know she had contacted the dealership and told me that my transmission had a warranty of up 60000 miles and that for my car I don't need to change my transmission fluid. I got a very competitive estimate from this business for my transmission rebuild. The turnaround time was 2 days just as promised. When the work was finished, the actual price was slightly under what was estimated. They do not accept checks and you WILL pay more if you use a credit card. My trans was done 4 months ago by them. It now shifts perfectly and there are no leaks. I did have a slight problem with the shifter alignment that they repaired today promptly without leaving the truck. Although the mechanic doesn't speak English well, the owner and office manager (Sue) couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. She's also very knowledgeable about the transmissions. Stick to transmission work only. That's their bread and butter and provide services at reasonable price. Just wish I had not let them replace my brake pads.
