I would like to commend the staff here for doing all the work they do, and in busy situations. Please forgive my misspelling, I want to thank Iseah who talked to on the phone. I want to thank Jay who helped people the day I went. The facility was clean and organized, so I felt very comfortable about coming here. They are next to car wash and a gas station. Also, Stonewood Mall is across the way too. The had coffee and snacks, I loved that they had Kirkland coffee pods, oh heck yea. The waiting area is not huge but enough. Jay was very knowledgeable and helpful; I overheard him helping people out. As far as value, I felt I got a good value, as I was shopping around. I was given a time estimate, and a time estimate if I wanted additional service and they were very good about meeting that. I got a free car wash at the was station next door, full service, and they did a great wash. I am already planning my next visit with them. I will update review in the future. read more

Truly disappointed with this location. Lorenzo, the service advisor tried to charge us $25 for the brake inspection upon initial arrival. When I pointed out the banner at their shop that says "Free Brake Inspection" and their website which states Free Brake Inspection, he retorted that their website also states they do free smog checks, but he states they do not even do smog. (When relooking at their website, they do not mention free smog anyways.) Lorenzo stated the brake inspections were not free and the website got it wrong. When I asked him for the person in charge he stated Erika and Ezekiel were in the parts dept. It is a shame Lorenzo was the only advisor handling a long line at check in. He stated Corporate was aware of the brake inspection charge discrepancy. If they are aware and he is aware, why try to charge a customer for a "Free" brake inspection? After leaving our car here, we heard the next day of a list of repairs needed. Lorenzo stated they believed our brake caliper was seized but could not confirm it. He attempted to charge us an additional $289.47 for the brake caliper service and $152.10 for the brake fluid service in addition to the brakes and rotor replacement service charge we were expecting. The issue is that when we asked Lorenzo if he could confirm if the brake caliper was truly needed to be replaced, he could just say he highly suggests replacing it. From the beginning, this place was trying to scam. I reached out to Alex's Auto Repair in Cypress, who confirmed they could verify if the brake caliper would be needed. Alex's Auto Repair stated there would be no need to waste extra money if he could confirm the issue. Alex's Auto Repair serviced us, and simply lubricated our caliper without us needing to pay over $800 for the whole brake service like Downey Care Care was quoting us. Alex's Auto Repair took the time to verify the issue, charging us less than half of what Downey Care Care center wanted to charge. My issue with this location is they would have happily overcharged us for a service that was not needed. Take your car to Alex's Auto Repair, save your time and money. While Downey Care Care Center was busy playing around, we had to spend extra time and money booking a rental car. (Photo on the left is from Alex's Auto Repair who took the time to verify the concern and lubricate our caliper. The photo on the right includes one page of many pages of services recommended by Downey Care Center including replacing the brake caliper and fluid exchange had we chosen to go that route.) I requested a quote through yelp and they were fast to respond and offered a great deal +a first time discount. I went in because the control arms on my Mazda needed to be replaced. Mazda was charging me $2k this place was 50% cheaper and I was able to replace my air filters for a cheaper price than the Mazda dealership. The whole thing took 1 day. I had errands to run that day and they provided me with a discount at Hertz next door so that made things easier for me. My car drives great!! I inquired about a full brake diagnosis and repair as my car had a squeaking sounds while braking. They responded the fastest and were conveniently located near the freeway exit, and they seemed to be offering a discount for the service. I ended up dropping my car off around 8:40am on Friday for my 9am appointment, but they seemed really backed up with cars. Thankfully they offered me a free uber ride back home which saved me some money as my house was 7+ miles away and I couldn't stay there the full day. They called me at around noon when they finally got to my car to review the work needed and said they would have my car done by close of the day around 6pm. Unfortunately they called me later and told me that they ordered the wrong parts and I'd have to leave my car there until the next day for afternoon pickup. This was very unfortunate, but luckily they offered me a car rental until the next day as well as a 10% discount on the full service which I appreciated. I had to Lyft back to the shop to pick up the rental at a nearby Hertz. The next day, I had to drop off the rental because the hertz closed at noon the next day, but my car wasn't ready to pick up so they told me to come back at 3pm. So I had to take another uber back home, and then find a ride back to the shop around closing at 3pm. Finally got my car back, and thankfully my braking issues have gone away. Shout out to Isaiah whom I worked with the entire time and was very communicative and was understanding of my situation. Also nice that they have water, coffee and snacks inside, and that they offered me uber rides back home. It was just unfortunate that my car had to be kept until the end of the next day. Even though the cost of the repairs were almost double of what I was expecting, I'm glad that my brake situation is resolved so I have more peace of mind. I brought my car in on a Saturday for multiple issues: a driver side rear window that would not roll up, tire sensor replacement, a check engine light, and an oil change. I was told the car would be ready by Monday or Tuesday. That did not happen. Monday: I called for an update and was told they had not looked into the check engine light yet. Only the oil change had been completed and the tire sensors were in progress. I was quoted 500 dollars for the window repair but chose not to approve it until I knew the cost of fixing the check engine issue. Tuesday: I had to call again. I was told diagnostics could not be done because the one person who runs the EVAP test had called out and no one else could perform it. It is unreasonable that the entire diagnostic process stops because one employee is absent. Wednesday: I was told they could not find an issue, cleared the check engine light, and said they would drive the car to ensure the light did not return. Based on that assurance, I approved the window repair. It then took another day and a half just for the part to arrive. Friday: I was told the car was ready and left work early to pick it up. After driving less than one block, the check engine light turned back on. This made it very clear the car was never test driven as promised. I returned immediately and was told to leave the car again. Saturday through Monday: The car was kept with no meaningful updates. On Monday, I was told another part might be causing the issue and that it needed to be replaced, adding yet another delay. At this point, I was referred to rent a car through Hertz. Tuesday: I again had to call for an update and was told the car was ready. Wednesday: I took additional time off work to pick it up, only to find the check engine light was still on. When I asked what work had been done since Saturday, I was told the person assisting me was off and no one could clearly explain what had or had not been done. After nearly two weeks, I was told they could not determine the issue and referred me to a dealership. After pickup, I discovered the rear door where the window was repaired no longer locks. When I called, I was told they were too busy and scheduled me an appointment over a week out, despite this issue being caused by their repair. Nearly two weeks without my car, repeated misinformation about it being ready, poor communication, and new problems created by their work. This experience wasted my time, required me to miss work multiple times, and ultimately didn't fix the biggest issue. read more

Service center manager told him to bring the car in, he drops off the car and gets a phone call afterwards saying they can't do the service bc they don't want to be held liable if the car doesn't pass smog test. This does not reflect well on their quality of work if they are scared of being held accountable for inadequate repairs and can't stand by their work. The only thing that caught me off guard was the prices since typically I only pay at most $70 for full synthetic at Honda/Walmart. They also quoted me $18 for engine air filter which I was okay with but they didn't have in stock but quoted me $61!!! for cabin air filter. Of course I decline that. Typically I just get my cabin air filters from Walmart or auto zone and definitely less than $20. Prices here for full synthetic start at $99.99 and go up from there. The only plus is that the oil change came with a car wash so technically let's call it $20-25 for car wash worth and the rest for the oil. Likely would come back just due to the service and speed. sometimes you got to pay more for the service you want so again overall happy. Clean waiting room with snacks and drink.
