My friend and I split the 5 Borough Trapper Combo for $19.99 which comes with chopped cheese, 6 piece wings of your choice, and fries. The chopped cheese was pretty good. It was meaty and cheesy. I also liked the bun which was buttery. For the wings, we got the wet lemon pepper wings and those were so so good. I'm not usually a wings person, but these were delicious. I loved the buttery, peppery, and tangy flavor of the wings which were nicely fried and crispy. The meat was moist and succulent. Just wow. The fries were also good and standard and I liked dipping them in the ranch (you get a choice of ranch or blue cheese for your wings). I also loved the service. Had just arrived in Atlanta from a late flight. Was wondering what was I going to eat now that I was back on U.S. soil. I knew there was Waffle House around the corner from where I was staying and at first, I had settled on placing a to-go order but I checked Yelp and saw that there was a wing spot just around the corner. Wanted to Love It, Just Didn't Get There I really wanted to rate this place higher, but I can't. I've had a lot of wing spots over the years, and for me it always comes down to the sauce. That's the difference maker. Atmosphere and location were solid no complaints there. The issue for me was the wings and fries. Not bad by any means, but definitely not great. I tried the mango habanero, which I usually use as a benchmark across wing spots, and it just didn't hit. The fries had a Parmesan twist, which was interesting, but they felt heavy. Overall, everything came off a bit too greasy and like it was trying to do too much. Honestly, I'd rate Buffalo Wild Wings higher in comparison. I was in town for the weekend and was really craving a smash burger. This place is known for their wings, but their smash burger looked really good so I decided to give it a shot. The burger was hot, fresh, greasy, and delicious. It was definitely everything I was hoping for in a smash burger, so I have no complaints about it. I didn't like chips that came with it. I was hoping for crinkle cut fries but that's just my preference. I won't deduct a star for that. This is not a standalone restaurant, it's located inside of a gas station. So there's no dine-in option and you should plan your take your food to-go. There was a line when I arrived, but it was moving. The staff was friendly enough and the wait wasn't too long either. I went to Trap Wingz yesterday for the BOGO. On Tuesdays you can get 2 trapper of the year combos for the price of 1. The combo includes a smash burger with 2 patties, 6 wings and fries. The burger was so good and filling. I just wish you didn't have to pay extra for toppings like lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The toppings are $1 each. The burger comes with grilled onions and their special trapper sauce. I would return just for the burger. On Wednesday the BOGO is the Philly cheesesteak and on Thursday it's the chopped cheese combo. Not only can you get some gas, but the food is gas too. I didn't know what to expect from a restaurant located in a gas station, but to my surprise, the ambiance was cute and creative. But the star of the show was the FOOD. Nothing would have prepared me for the chicken wings, and that chicken Philly had me singing the Fresh Prince song. I am actually addicted to this place. Some weeks I may order 2 or 3 times because it is just that good. They have the best fries you could ever imagine! My favorite hands down is the trap sauce wings. It is like a sweet and savory flavor! I also like a classic mild or lemon pepper/mild. Nothing crazy especially with the amount or customers were in there of calling in orders. The wing flavor was good, wings were fully cooked, and the weren't the tiny frozen wings businesses are saying is worth $1. The burger was two smashed patties. On a smaller burger bun. I managed handling the burger by cutting it in half. It was good. No complaints on the fries, they were nice and crispy.
