Went to Fox Bros for lunch while a family outing and at first I was confused where the entrance was since the parking lot is to the side of the building. We luckily found parking and were happy to get into an air conditioned space. The inside of Fox Bros is very much like a college bar. There are a bunch of memorabilia and different areas to sit. What we found pretty cool was how the cooks/chefs come out and serve your hot plate at your seat. That gesture is a nice touch to the presentation. Delicious food! Ordered the sausage and pimento cheese as an appetizer (more so just to try the pimento cheese since it's a staple) and it was good, but nothing to jump about. The main part however was great. The ribs can be eaten as is or add their signature BBQ sauce (I used mild and loved it) and the combo comes with 2 sides - would recommend both the mac n cheese and collard greens. The greens are slightly sweet and very vinegary. I also loved our waiter, Liam. He was funny and helpful, checking in every so often and apologizing when they were out of something (they did run out of cornbread for the day ~7pm). Every once in a while, I come across a business that I wish I could give more than five stars to in a review... and this spot is one of them. Went in on Valentine's Day night unexpected quite the wait but they ended up having an opening at the bar so we took it. The bartender was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and very patient and helpful with all my questions. They were out of pulled pork and chicken, but she told us the brisket was the best anyhow and the brisket definitely did not disappoint. I got the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad and my dad got the barbecue brisket salad with a side of brisket chili. Everything was absolutely perfect. The taste was amazing, the texture was amazing, and we left there very full and happy. The restaurant itself is pretty fun with a good vibe and friendly and welcoming employees. The bathroom was in a little bit of disarray, but also it was Valentine's Day night so I'm sure they were slammed. Fox bros has some of the best barbecue I've had. Not everything was perfect but there is so much good food that I had that I can't complain. The ribs were phenomenal. The ribs were solid, sticking to the bone, yet also so tender and juicy with just the right amount of fat. I don't like barbecue sauce as most places make it too sweet but these just had a light layer that didn't overpower at all. I ended up adding some of the spicy barbecue sauce which was delicious. One of the main highlights were the wings. I tried both the dry rub and sauces wings and both were incredibly crispy on the outside with a moist inside. Some of my favorite wings I've had. My favorite item which came as a surprise was the chicken. Most times when I get chicken at a barbecue place it's just chicken, but here I had the smokiest juiciest chicken I've had before. What really makes it better was the white sauce that my server recommended me to use with it. I had never had anything like this before and it just added so much more flavor to an already great dish. The moist brisket was the most disappointing thing I had. Moist brisket is my favorite barbecue item and this was just not wet enough or flavorful enough. It just seemed dried out especially on one half of the piece. The fries weren't good, not crispy or salted enough. The fried okra was a nice side to have. The sides were probably better than the meat - good baked beans, collard greens, and bruswick stew. The macaroni was just OK. I forgot to try the cornbread. Overall, it was solid. The service was really good for a BBQ joint - I'm not sure I've ever had table service for BBQ, and she was working HARD. We knew it would be packed on a Friday night so we opted for early dinner and was able to snag one of the few spots left in the parking lot. We were seated right away in one of the high tops. Our server was wonderful, but the food was even better. We shared fried pickles with ranch. The batter was light and peppery dipped with ranch was just the perfect combo. My husband and I shared the smoked wings and full rack plate served with mac and cheese and collards. The wings were nicely smoked but needed sauce for sure. Fortunately, they have them easily accessible at your table. Our favorite sauce was just the regular BBQ sauce but they also have a vinegar-based sauce and spicy for the more adventurous ones.
