    Jerk Chicken meal
    Eduardo T.

Trappixx is that kid on the block that everyone wants be friends with and visit. Came here twice. Unfortunately at the moment they only do pick up. I have ordered the oxtails from here and also the jerk chicken. The staff is pretty fast with the orders. I'd recommend call in your order 15 minutes prior to picking up so it's ready when you get there. But if not you can wait in the car and you'll be out in 15. The oxtails were very good, nicely seasoned, sweet and spicy. The portion was pretty big. Can be good for two sittings depending on your appetite. I also like to order their beef patties and curry chicken patties. They are very tasty, crunchy and flakky. Need to keep going there and try other delicacies.

I really like this establishment. I was craving for some jerk chicken one night when I was studying and decided to give this place a try--and thank god, I did! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and the rice definitely complimented that. The portion is really generous so I was able to save some food for later. I will be coming her again soon. This establishment's efforts in providing a safe and clean transaction is also well done. My takeout had utensils that were wrapped and my meal was also wrapped in plastic wrap too.

Jerk chicken wings, white rice and peas, cabbage, plantains

Update as of 6/28/20 We had jerk salmon with rice and cabbage. We also ordered plantains which I'm learning they never seem to have... Because they didn't have a second helping of jerk salmon, they called and simply said "Oxtails?!" all loud into the phone with no context. I guess they were asking if we wanted to replace the second jerk salmon with that. Lol we're like we guess we are getting oxtails then. They were subpar... /end update -- Our first time trying this place. Great pick during quarantine. Super delicious, flavorful dish. The rice and peas were spicy, which my boyfriend and I loved. We loved everything. We plan to try the jerk salmon and curry chicken patties next.

Well here from out of town and was so happy to find this place. Arrived on Sunday at 7:00pm and was told We couldn't sit and dine in because they don't serve after 7pm and you can only get food Togo. Not what o wanted but okey we order, then we were told they don't have Jerk Chicken because they are out and we should come earlier like around 5 PM ... they are out of Beef Patties because Sunday is slow. ??????? What ???? I'm sorry this is not how you run a reputable business. You don't have operating hours and not serve and you don't not cook food because you are slow. The server was not friendly we sat for 10 min before even being acknowledged and this was just disappointing. I hate to say but we won't be back.

I just visited the area again and had been informed this business had been sold however, I'm very disappointed with the product I received. I ordered a lunch special and I'll just put the picture to suffice how I felt as well. I paid $8 for a lunch platter which would be a small else where and an appropriate size (Not a 6inch hoagie container). Two giant scoops of rice and just "dollops" of "sides" to accompany the "dollop" of curried goat. Oh, and also one plantain on top. Maybe for garnish :/ The yellow rice was dry but good flavor, the other white/pink one just dry and no flavor to it at all, the cabbage undercooked and the curried goat (which was the main dish) was great. I want to give two stars but I can not get over the one plantain and the beyond inadequate side portions. If I sat down at a table and they served this to me, j would return it and leave.

Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken! Sooo good!

Itching for some Goat Curry, we had to hit a place that could satisfy the cravings! Trappixx hit the nail on the head! Located on a main road, in its own little strip with its own parking, this restaurant is great for those looking to taste the Caribbean without paying for airfare. We started with a Jamaican Beef Patty that was perfectly crispy on top and full of spiced meat flavors on the inside! When a couple sat down with a bottle of wine next to us, we realized this place was BYOB and immediately wished we brought some beer to accompany these fantastic flavors. The service was fast, accommodating, and friendly. We ordered the Goat Curry and Jerk Chicken. They both came with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. Nothing but good things to say about both dishes. The meats were exploding with flavor and very tender. The Goat Curry was a bit oily, so be aware that it's prob not the best for those trying to keep their bikini bodies perfect; but boy was it delicious! I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Decided to give this place a try after passing by it a few times. We ordered the stew chicken with cabbage, rice & peas and whiting with cabbage, rice & pea's along with plantains. The food was ok. A little dry and saltier then I would have liked but edible with a nice flavor. We like a little gravy for over the rice and there was none. The plantains however were cooked perfectly and believe it or not that's usually not the case with a lot of places so it was a plus. They also carry Veggie Tarry drinks which was great. Overall we probably will try it again, not anytime soon since we're literally going back to Jamaica and a few days.

I highly recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover. They prepared our dishes using a wonderful variety of techniques. I was initially hesitant to order the steamed Chilean sea bass, but it turned out to be perfect light, flaky, and with perfectly balanced aromatics that I'll be dreaming about until I return. Our server Vinnie was elegant and funny. He handled all our questions with ease and even brought us a complimentary side dish he personally enjoyed, which was a lovely touch. I felt like I was dining in seafood heaven; each dish was more exciting than the last. And I can't forget about the cocktails! Although I don't have a photo of my mango Moscow mule, it was the perfect pairing for my Asian-inspired three-course seafood meal. This restaurant definitely has a fancy vibe, you'll want to dress up a bit. But since it was a hot 100-degree day, my family and I appreciated the staff's kindness in welcoming us despite our casual attire. I can't praise enough the wonderful people here. The chef, the front-of-house team, and the wait staff are all five-stars! They made my family feel truly special and well taken care of. This spot is easily in my top three restaurants I've visited this year! My family and I can't wait to come back.

Great phone voice, by the way. We walked to the restaurant during the purported "heat dome" weekend. Fortunately, the air conditioning is pristine. We sat at the oyster bar and recommend you do so too. Our waiter was great. We should have caught his name but didn't. Either way, he was a real one. P spotted some absolute babe across the bar and asked our waiter what she was drinking. Important side note: attractive people dine here, but not in an intimidating way if you're a normie. Turns out it was a mocktail from the Zero Proof menu. We don't judge. Our waiter then turned us on to an OG move: order a mocktail and add booze. P got the Pink Drink and added vodka. J ordered a Bee's Knees and a Firing Squad. All above average. Anyway, we created an oyster flight and got two of each, working our way across the Eastern Seaboard. The house sauce was fantastic and incorporated some sort of onion and horseradish combination. We don't pretend to understand what that sorcery was, but keep doing it. Create your own GD oyster flight. You won't regret it. We also ordered some shrimp cocktail and shared the lobster roll sandwich. We forgot to take pics, but the generic photo attached is actually how it looks. Not a bad bite. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungover people who took IR Adderall before the walk. We lingered for a while and they don't push you out. Ended up ordering a couple IPAs. They started shucking oysters to prepare for the dinner crowd, which is neat to watch when you're on the spectrum like us. Also, the walls are covered in different oyster plates. We spent about 20 minutes discussing which one was our favorite. We landed on a green one. It's a real vibe lifter of a joint. Brought us back to life. 10/10.

Unfortunately, the service is what really brought the rating down. For a restaurant where you're spending around $50 per person, I expected much better service. My glass stayed empty for long periods of time, and it took forever just to get our waitress to come back to the table. I was dressed in sports gear since I'm visiting from out of town, and I couldn't help but feel like maybe we were judged based on how we were dressed instead of being given the same level of service as everyone else. I can't say for sure that was the case, but that's how the experience made me feel. The oysters were great, but when you're paying these prices, the service should match the quality of the food.
