What a mistake, the long-distance woman at their company stopped taking my calls because every time I called, she could not tell me WHERE my items/truck was (not kidding) Manny was my sales rep at Flat Rate, after he closes the sale, he DOES not help you. He kept telling me to call the Long-Haul Moving dept. The truck arrived LATE (no call) the driver got into a cussing match with his supervisor, his two guys were very good in wrapping and packing but it took them longer to get the truck loaded than what they were told? Only a two-bedroom two bath and one car garage...I packed everything and wrapped all my art with bubble wrap as my stepdad was a mover and I grew up in this industry! So much to say 17 days later the truck arrived. The driver was not the same as loaded, he was SO RUDE and made racist remarks. My stuff was missing and BROKEN...we paid for extra coverage and filed a claim for damages and only received a check for $560. This should have been a lawsuit...however it would cost us too much money and they know this and do NOT care. One Star is too generous. A TOTAL disgrace at every level, hopefully my post will affect their business since we could not fight with lawyers.

I was in contact with them on any changes and everything was set for 9:00 on Tuesday morning. Truck came in on a Monday afternoon and arrived at 9:00 Tuesday. But no Junk Hunks. I received a message that they would be there between 11 and 12:45. And I told them we needed to start and to call me before coming to see if we still needed them. We of course my son unloaded the whole truck by himself. I believe I should have received an apology and my deposit back. This particular move felt a bit more complicated than the type of moves I'm sure they usually see. Within the span of a week they moved my mother out of state to an assisted care facility and my family ( also out of state) to a single-family home. The guys were all extremely pleasant, showed up on time, helped pack, and facilitated trash removal. I never heard one complaint, and in fact, in the span of the full week I never saw any of them take a break. They worked full power every time I saw them. I will say this, we didn't have damage to our furniture most likely due to Nick wrapping our furniture like a mummy. While loading was slow and concerning, the experience improved greatly with the unload. BEWARE: The actual movers were great. No issues with the…read moreguys they sent. THE OFFICE people are liars and scammers. I spoke to an estimator 3 times, and specifically went over pricing. I was promised a rate and an hourly minimum. I ASKED FLAT OUT "Is there extra charges or travel time?" and was assured "No." When the movers got there I looked at the clock and said "Ok its now 9:30, we're starting now?" and they looked me in the eye and said "Yes", and when the bill came it was $300 more that it should have been because they actually started the clock when they left the office (and they went to the wrong address first and charged me for that and their return home.) The office didn't care "it was all there in the contract you signed". SO DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY TELL YOU ON THE PHONE OR IN PERSON. Read every word in the pages of fine print they send you. TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT TRUST. Would never use again.
