Italian espresso martini
Justin E.

This is my favorite restaurant in middle Georgia and Italian food isn't even in my top 3 favorite cuisines. The cacio pepe with shrimp is amazing! Don't forget to try the Italian espresso martini.

Fresh food and delicious drinks. This is my second time here, once around Christmas and the latest around Valentine's Day! On both visits they had cute holiday themed decor and menu. The appetizer was brought out quickly and was hot and fresh. It was actually quite packed on both visits so we chose to sit at the bar. So far I've tried their pizza and pasta, they both taste fresh and delicious. The service was immaculate! Definitely recommend going!

We really wanted to love Trattoria Napoli after hearing so many people rave about it, but our visit was disappointing from start to finish. Let's start with the good -- the bar staff, Kelsey and Chloe, were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and they made a great Manhattan Beach Hooch. Honestly, the bar experience was the highlight of the night. Unfortunately, dinner was another story. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Chicken Alfredo. The Cacio Peppe was so dry that my boyfriend actually had to add water (twice) to his pasta just to make it edible. The noodles were undercooked and crunchy -- definitely not how pasta should be served. He added shrimp (only got four) and was upcharged for them. He powered through it because he was starving, but it was rough. My Alfredo wasn't any better. The pasta came out clumped together in a dry, gooey mess with almost no sauce at all. The chicken was so dry it was like chewing cotton balls. When I asked for more Alfredo sauce just to be able to eat it, I was charged extra -- which made no sense, considering the original dish barely had any sauce to begin with. To be fair, they did remake my dish, and the second version was much better -- creamy sauce, hot chicken, and actually enjoyable. But when the bill came, the upcharge for the extra sauce was still there. That left a bad taste, literally and figuratively. For the price tag, the food just isn't worth it. The flavors were mediocre, and the quality inconsistent. We've been before (earlier in the evening around 6:30) and had a better experience, but this time we came at 7:30 -- and that shouldn't make a difference in food quality. All in all, the service at the bar was great, but the kitchen execution and management oversight really missed the mark. Sadly, we won't be back. I'd rather go to Fresco's or even Olive Garden before spending that kind of money again here.

The food is excellent. Pasta and sauces are flavorful and the bread--yum! Pizza dough is usually very light but the last time we were there for pizza,, around Christmas time, it seemed the pizza wasn't in the oven long enough. That's the first time out of many dinners there, that this was so. The staff is very very friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu. One thing we continue to notice is that there is an over-abundance of staff. It's a small restaurant and it seems they are always bumping in to each other or dancing around one another. It makes dining a little chaotic. Even with these things, still, it's our very favorite restaurant, in Perry.

Super cute restaurant, our waiter Brandon, was wonderful and very friendly! Our food came out super fast. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and they were close to a foot-long each, there were three of them, so delicious! The cheese pizza was good, very thin bottom of the pizza. A little on the flimsy side, but still yummy! We ordered the autumn squash risotto. The risotto was way to al dente. We topped of our dinner with some cannolis! They were not traditional, but good.

Great Italian restaurant in quaint downtown Perry perfect location for taking a break from shopping or a romantic dinner for two. Full bar and rotating beers on tap. Our waitress Kennedy was amazing. Our drinks were very good and the food delicious. We were in town for a dog show and our friends that came here a year ago (same dog show) recommended it and joined us. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and delicious. We will be back next time we're in Perry!

My husband and I came here for our 24th wedding anniversary. Normally I have reservations about trying new places but this time I went. I called and made a reservation just in case. We arrived shortly after 5:30pm, seated immediately and got an amazing food server Emily. We sat and waited for a bit but Emily made sure we were taken care of. Between the amazing cheesesticks and our server Emily, I was good and could have skipped the main course. Thank you for the amazing service and the complimentary anniversary dessert.

Service was amazing here. I cannot remember our waitresses name but she was phenomenal! It really made the experience great. We sat outside on the patio and it was nice. The appetizer was hot, fresh, and flavorful. I ordered the chicken parm with fettuccine alfredo. Chicken was crispy and the marinara and cheese on top was phenomenal. The chicken itself was a bit bland to me, but that is just a personal preference and the sauce and cheese made it nice and flavorful. The Alfredo was delicious. We will be back for special occasions!

Driving North from Florida, we wanted dinner and preferred not fast food, but good food served efficiently. Well we hit that out of the park by ending up at The Oil Lamp. My friend had the chicken & mashed potatoes (these are the real deal!!). I had the beef tips on gravy over mashed potatoes. We shared sides of braised cabbage that had a fair amount of garlic - I will be thinking about it, yes thinking about cabbage - first time for everything. We also shared creamed corn and this is NOT from a can. The corn was so sweet and there was a crunch to it, which only fresh corn can give. Everything looked delicious. I eyed those desserts, but I'd finished my plate and just no more room. I live like 4 hours away, but I'm hoping to time my return trip to return to this gem. This isn't fancy, it's good food that has been cooked by chefs that know how to cook old school. Last note - generous portions.

Upon entry, you go to the right to get in line and order. There is a sign with daily specials (you can also check out their Facebook page!). Up first are the trays and silverware and then the salad bar. After that are some entrees and sides they dish out for you. We ordered the rib-eye meal which comes with a side and bread but you can add whatever you want! I think it was $29, which at first seemed a little expensive, but my brother and friends assured me was definitely worth it! We also grabbed a drink and some dessert. All of the employees were very kind and welcoming. We went right at 5 on a Thursday evening so there was plenty of seating. The tables were big and there was room for all 10 of us (that's why we went early!) The food...was amazing! The steak was PERFECT. I asked for it medium and it was medium. So tender and flavorful! My brother wasn't lying when he said it was worth it. I also had the loaded mashed potatoes - excellent, biscuit-yummy, and the chocolate peanut butter pie- OH MY! I will definitely be returning to this establishment. We really enjoyed it.

The foundation is still there with the rooms and decor but with lots of tables set up, similar to hosting a gathering at home. Not only that, everyone here was really friendly! We really felt welcomed, and though the second time, service wasn't as outstanding, it was still good. I think they really nailed down the vibe of southern hospitality. For drinks, they have seasonal cocktails, which I think is fun, but I'm not around at a time where I would be able to chill and drink. I end up with a go-to sweet tea. Strong and sweet, that it kept me up, but not the strongest nor sweetest I've had. There's also complimentary bread that's mini muffin shaped and dense like a biscuit. It's buttery and salty, but I like it! Before coming, I saw so many things about the sampler, so I definitely wanted to get it and try out. Love the fried green tomatoes with the honey mustard. It didn't feel oily, and it held up pretty well when cut and dipped into sauce. The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. Overall, I'm glad to know this place because it's a good rec for the area if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's not a bad pick for vegetarians either, though they would only have appetizers and sides to pick from, but I liked them more than the entrees. There's a parking lot, and it's in a good location to see the rest of downtown Perry too.
