OMG! This place is so cute! It's adorably decorated and very Alice and wonderland themed. It's such a unique addition to a small town and conveniently located right outside of the Air Force base. That being said it can get kind of busy during lunchtime. A handy tip: Instead of waiting in line use the digital kiosk. There's tons of delicious looking pastries available as well as specialty drinks and coffee. Despite the varied menu, the sandwiches were also surprisingly good! I got the count of monte cristo which was an interesting toasted cream cheese and jam sandwich. I've never had anything like it before but it tasted great. All of the sandwiches come with a side of popcorn! I definitely recommend checking this place out at least a couple of times so that you try a bit of everything! read more

A month after opening, Mad Hatter Café & Confections finally made it onto our Sunday plans, and I'm so glad it did. My husband and I stopped in during their limited hours (they're closed Saturdays and Mondays, and open 10am-5pm the other days), which makes this spot especially convenient for anyone working across the street at Robins Air Force Base. It's truly a "business-hours gem," with the added bonus of being open on Sundays. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The café itself is absolutely adorable, fully leaning into an Alice in Wonderland theme without feeling overdone. It's cozy, and charming, the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. The menu has a little bit of everything: coffee and tea drinks, a tempting variety of pastries and specialty cakes, sandwiches (served with fresh-popped popcorn--such a fun touch), soups, salads, and more. As hard as it was to pass up the desserts in the display case, I decided on a liquid dessert instead and ordered the Banana Foster Latte Macchiato on ice. It was fantastic, sweet but still bold and strong, exactly how I like my coffee. They offer almond and oat milk for a small upcharge, and all drinks come in one size, roughly equivalent to a grande. My husband ordered the Peaches & Green iced tea, which he really enjoyed. He mentioned it was sweeter than expected but still very flavorful and refreshing. Prices were reasonable, the café was clean (even while busy), and the customer service truly stood out. You can tell they care about the experience they're creating. I had the best time here! The decor is top notch and so immersive. I ordered a fizzy drink- can't remember the name but not only was it adorable but it was also so good and refreshing. I also had a hot honey chicken biscuit. The spice level was perfect, the biscuit was melt in your mouth good. I cant wait to go back to try more! Excellent food, super-cool decor, and very fast service. A great little place for a bite. I didn't have the best coffee, but it was an Americano. So not a lot of flavor. I love the flavor of coffee and not the add-ins, so don't take my word for it. It just tasted like Kuerig coffee. Regardless, I'd go back for the food. Delicious and very friendly staff. read more

Went with excitement to check this place out. Place was so cute and dessert display looked nice. We bought the pricey food at the counter and tipped as normal. We then discovered we had to go back to counter to get our food tray and also clean our own table which was fine but why tip? We also were unimpressed with food and two bland desserts. My husband took his sandwich home but disliked it so much he ended up tossing it. read more

The first day open. Service was great! Food was great! Prices are reasonable and fair for what you get. The menu is different and accommodating enough for anyone. Even the decor is very well done. I'm visiting from out of town and I'm glad to see this offering so close to the base and to the hotel I usually stay at. This is the coolest place! They have a full menu of coffee including decaf, it's reasonably priced, the pastries are beautiful and it smells incredible when you walk in. Super great customer service the vibe is impeccable. 10/10 read more

I was expecting a tea room because of the theme, so I was disappointed. This is a fast food type of place-an Alice themed version of Panera Bread, basically. The sandwiches are really good. All four of us ordered a different one and we all liked what we chose. The decor is delightful, and the staff is friendly. The person in our group who ordered the white russian fizz liked it. However, the red velvet bundt cake was tasteless and dry. The icing was okay, but that's all we could taste. They don't know how to make tea, and it's served in disposable cups, not china. One of our group got hot green tea. She said it was too weak but she was able to drink hers. Two of us ordered hot flavored cream teas: Victorian London Fog and strawberry vanilla. We got hot, murky water with white clumps floating in it and neither of us could drink it. (I think they used powdered creamer to make tea?!!!) They are only using 1 tea bag for a large cup, so it's too weak for any flavor to come through. They need to either double the tea bags or use smaller cups. And if it's a cream tea, you need actual milk or plant based milk, not powdered creamer (shudder). You order at the counter and have to go get your tray of food when it's ready. You get real plates but the utensils and cups are disposable, and you bus your own table. Lunch for four people (4 sandwiches, 3 hot teas, 1 fizz, 1 dessert) was $70. The sandwiches are $10 and come with a handful of popcorn, no sides, but they are good. If you are looking for a full-service tea room experience/ladies' luncheon/bridal shower/Mother's Day kind of place, this isn't that, but it is a very cute place for a quick bite. read more
