Let me start by saying it's extremely hard to find a GOOD Italian restaurant in Northern Westchester. We decided to try Trattoria Sei because we are looking to have a graduation dinner for my daughter soon. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and sat down immediately. I was impressed that for a Tuesday evening there were quite a few people eating dinner there. We started with the complimentary focaccia bread and it was delicious (wish we had more lol) Our entrees consisted of Eggplant Parmigiana and Chicken Parmigiana Alla Vodka. Both entrees were incredible! We are an Italian/American family so we know what good sauce/gravy is and we are extremely picky but both sauces exceeded our expectations!! The environment was warm and welcoming and we never felt rushed. We will definitely be back! Next time we will make sure to leave room for dessert, as the dessert menu looked sooo good! If you find yourself in the area do yourself a favor and check it out. The other restaurants around might offer a little more space or nicer views BUT trust me when I tell you, the food won't come close to Trattoria Sei! read more

I've been here a few times with my in-laws and every time it's been great. It's a quaint little restaurant, but a great ambience and great service. Easily the best Italian food I've had in Mahopac and always my go to when visiting. I would recommend the chicken vodka parm. Just look out the portions are huge! Great spot! read more

This place is so easy to miss and drive past ( ive done it ) But that would be a Big Mistake!! So lucky to find this little Gem hiding right in plain sight. Walked in was Greated by a very nice array of staff and Management. We sat at the beautiful bar, which views their gorgeous, Old School pizza oven. We admired the decor..Candlelight, warm woods and colors, lots of beautiful exposed brick, and if you see custom artwork of Frank Sinatra hanging on the wall of an Italian restaurant, there's a great chance you are in for a delicious meal..and that proved true in this case. Baked Claims were yummmmy! My Chicken Scarp was the best I've had in years. My wife loved her homemade pasta. Delicious bread and a bottle of wine. This place is something special!!! Thank you Anthony and the rest of the fantastic staff. We are actually going back today to try the pizza (which looked amazing). There are many wonderful eateries in this area ..however, that spot should not be ignored. Come in and ENJOY! Update: just had the pizza...its is fantastic!!! Tonight my wife and my nephew made our visit visit to Trattoria Sei. What a pleasure. The server Chris and the service in general was first rate. All of our course and appetizers were excellent. The tuna tower appetizer was fresh. How do I know? I am an avid fisherman and I can tell. The pasta is home made and cooked to perfection. I had Clams Vongole in white sauce on linguine and it was superb. The cappuccino after dinner was excellent. We spoke to the owner Mike and he was gracious and you could tell he has a passion for his work. We will become regular customers. Oh, and they have a wine night . Check out their website. We had appetizers first, calamari and octopus. Both were cooked to perfection. OMG out of this world taste!!! Then, for entrees. we had Osso Bucco!!! I just can't say enough, but ohh, my gosh. Decided to try Trattoria Sei for our News Years Dinner with some friends. We had an 8:00 reservations and were seated by 8:10, which is completely understandable on a holiday. The doors was excellent I had the Pollo Scarpariello and can honestly say I was shocked to have finished the whole plate, it was that good. My three companions all had the Pollo Milanese and all loved how good the Chicken Cutlet was. My only complaint and the reason for the 4 stars was the server forgot to bring us any bread, it wasn't a big deal but still details like this shouldn't be overlooked. As for the ambiance the smell of delicious food and the pizza oven hit you as you walk in the door and you get the warm homey feel of a great local Italian restaurant. I highly recommend giving them a try and will definitely go back. read more

Our family celebrated a wonderful Father's Day meal here. My husband had a tomahawk steak and fried calamari and we had some appetizers as well as a pulpo seafood salad dish ,which was soo good. Perfect in every way!! Came to eat for our 35th Anniversary and everything was perfect. We totally enjoyed our antipasto salad, calamari, pasta dishes and seafood dishes. Truly a magical evening right up to a surprise dessert on Trattoria Sri and staff. Incredible food and atmosphere. I also cannot forget the service, it was outstanding!! Extremely Disappointing Experience Our recent visit to this restaurant was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences we've ever had. The restaurant has recently changed ownership, and unfortunately, one of the new owners, Jennifer, showed an appalling lack of professionalism and courtesy. Our party of six had been waiting for over an hour when one of our friends received her Parma pizza, described on the menu as containing prosciutto di Parma, rucola, and parmesan. However, it arrived drizzled with balsamic glaze, an ingredient not listed. She politely asked if it could be remade without it. Rather than apologizing or offering to prepare a fresh pizza, Jennifer became visibly irritated. She instructed the cook to remove the toppings by hand and replace them on the same pizza base. When my friend witnessed this and declined to eat a pizza handled that way, Jennifer dismissively replied that it was fine because "the cook had gloves on." This response was unprofessional, unhygienic, and completely unacceptable. When my friend then asked for a simple Margherita instead, Jennifer refused and declared that the kitchen was closed for us at 8:00 p.m. She told us to leave immediately, stating we wouldn't be charged. Not only was our birthday celebration ruined, but the lack of respect shown by the owner was alarming. There was no apology, accountability, or attempt to resolve the situation in an appropriate manner. To make matters worse, after our negative reviews, the owner responded aggressively online and appeared to either create or encourage fake positive reviews to counter our negative ones. One even insulted our group of hardworking women, calling us "street cats" and suggesting the police should have been called. This behavior is unacceptable for any business. If you care about good food, fair treatment, and basic customer respect, steer clear of this restaurant. The food was mediocre, the service appalling, and the owner's attitude beyond unprofessional. read more

As soon as we walked in with our special needs son we were greeted by the owner who was so kind and accommodating. She made us feel so at home and at ease. The staff was amazing. Totally on top of things. Food was delicious. We we're with a large party and everything was so good we did a lot of sharing. They made us feel like part of their family. I'm not from the area so I took a chance on yelp and the reviews and I'm so glad I did! Our dinner was delicious from appetizer to dessert. We ordered off the menu and the specials and they did not disappoint. The ambiance was fun and upbeat. We enjoyed the happy birthday jams that popped up every so often with someone celebrating. If you want quiet and boring, go somewhere else. Our waitress, Deanna, added to our overall great experience. Loved her!!! I am conflicted about my first time at this restaurant. I made a reservation for dinner. I and my party arrived on time. The young man at the front desk actually turned his back on us and never acknowledged that the four of us were standing in front of his desk. Someone else from the dining room greeted us and sat us down. So, very bad initial impression. However, our server was excellent and the food was served hot and well prepared. The newly renovated restaurant has a great vibe. The decor is a huge upgrade from the old "Gino's" restaurant that they took over. The most important part, the food, is incredible! I've tried several different entree's and apps on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Service is top notch. Paige was our waitress and she was on top of everything we needed. This restaurant is very pleasing. The newly appointed interior looked warm and inviting but I chose to have lunch yesterday in the tent at the side. My server was friendly, polite and obviously had a good knowledge of Italian food. I ordered the Soup fo the Day - Pasta e Fagioli and Milanese de Pollo and a glass of Montepulciano. The soup was lovely and hot and stayed hot which was good. The chicken cutlet and salad was properly done and the dressing on the side. I probably would have preferred a simple oil and vinegar dressing. There was also a lot of cubes of Mozzarella cheese on top. So if you like Mozzarella this is an added surprise. I saw another table share a gorgeous heaped plate of pasta that looked delicious. But that will have to wait. Can recommend this restaurant and wish them well during these hard times read more

We had a great dinner! We ordered for appetizers the meatballs which were cooked perfectly and so tasty. Also the Burrata it was so fresh, it came with prosciutto and pickled eggplant. For entrees we had the bronzino, it was flavorful with plenty of sauce and capers. The Ahi shrimp scampi had really big tasty shrimp and the Carminooch that had the beggars purses with pees and ham in a cream sauce was very tasty! I just wish they gave you warm bread at the table instead of cold Italian bread, that's the only thing I wish they change. Other then that great job!! read more
