[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice basement wine cellar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good selection of wine, bar tenders knowledgeable about their selections and the regions where they come from. They had wine specials that came with complimentary bread with tapenade. We also ordered the cheese platter with assorted chocolate. Good pairing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have live music and a nice nook for about 8 people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Otherwise, the rest is tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice cozy place if you look the brick ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cool basement restaurant/bar with staff knowledgeable about wines and pairing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a baked brie and charcuterie board and everything tasted amazing. Our waiter was attentive and very nice.

Wow. Just wow. When we reviewed the menu online we knew we had to go here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Being from Illinois, the Chicago speak easy decor really resonated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And our server was beyond helpful!!!! Tonight we enjoyed the seasonal charcuterie board, the humus duet, the primavera and dinner special of mushroom ravioli on Marsala sauce. Solid wine choices and surprise was a white port. Solid and slightly reminiscent of a Japanese plum wine.

The food and service here is impeccable. Staffed by a knowledgeable and energetic team, lead by some amazing owners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My wife and I were in the area and were impressed with the quality of food, types of wine, and decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I returned here solo one night, I was welcomed by the owner and staff as if I was a longtime friend. I cannot recommend them enough. I will definitely return.

This place is so cool! I chose this spot for my mothers birthday dinner [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always nice to have an inviting restaurant in the Hudson Valley area - especially in Poughkeepsie NY.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entrance is downstairs and has speakeasy vibes, you enter into a small seating area and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated immediately. The service here is very good, the waiters are attentive and the pacing was great. We got our meals in a timely manner. The food was spectacular, We had the 3-course Hudson Valley special. This included a mini charcuterie board, a duck entree and a peanut mousse dessert. I've only had duck a few times, but it was juicy and paired well with the berry sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was very alluring, despite it being dimly lit the long dark tables and decor made it feel like an actual cellar![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I hope to return soon! 100% recommend

I love this place! It is a small family owned business, and they really get so much right. It is downstairs in a very cozy space. Sometimes they have music, but there is always good music playing if they don't have someone live. The food is fantastic. Varied dishes on the menu, but everything I have ever tried here has tasted great. The service is also wonderful. The bartenders know how to pair wine with food extremely well. I got the short rib poutine recently, and the bartender recommended a dry riesling. It was perfect. It cut the richness of the short ribs, and I never would have paired those two together. Overall, always a great experience and definitely worth a try.

I cannot speak enough praise of 1915 Wine Cellar to reflect the pleasure of my recent visits. Owners Russ and Elke are truly welcoming and make every effort to ensure patrons enjoy themselves. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Patrons are pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Noise level is low making conversation easy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Culinary Institute students embrace 1915 with, apparently, the full endorsement of faculty. Veterans are well respected. My Riesling was excellent and those near me at the bar eating lauded their food selections. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rather than sports, the TV by the bar shows art and food programs (a quite refreshing alternative).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Live music is chosen with care.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I look forward to returning to this excellent establishment.

Was back again after a couple of years. Still Such a wonderful place. Jeff and Mike @CIA are so knowledgeable! Food is always so good! A perfect place to try wines in a quiet setting.

We have visited this establishment on many occasions - each time it is a wonderful experience. Just last evening we booked in for a private dinner - just our small party of 4, Grant the sommelier and Ariel, the wonderful chef. They curated such a lovely evening for us - a craft apertif with tasty amuse bouche, and then a multi course meal with interesting and tasty wine pairings. Dinner included a wonderful simple salad with a French style orange dressing, homemade pasta and savory duck.......all with lovely music and fun conversation. It was a relaxing and fun event and we can't wait to do it again!

Instead, we found a culinary gem. The space is spectacular -- bright, open, and surrounded by relaxing river ambiance. We began our evening on the outdoor balcony, but a sudden thunderstorm dropped a tsunami of rain prompting a quick relocation into the equally welcoming main dining room. Our waiter, a charming young man from Hungary, gave us an excellent primer on the menu, which expertly balanced accessible staples with high-end luxury (creeping all the way up to an eye-popping $155 Wagyu steak special -- there were only 15 servings available for the night we later found out). As Port lovers, we were floored by the beverage options. Living outside of Philadelphia, we're used to restaurants offering one or two uninspired Tawnys. Shadows boasts an embarrassment of riches. Our waiter candidly confessed Port wasn't his forte and quickly dispatched the sommelier, Enrique. The fluid, passionate back-and-forth that followed was incredible; we learned more about wine in five minutes with Enrique than in decades of traveling. We gladly handed him the steering wheel for the rest of the night. Because we were celebrating my birthday, we went all in. My wife crossed caviar off her bucket list and tried the delectable octopus -- a substantial steak rather than the usual fried bits at most establishments. After some enabling from my wife, I went temporarily insane and ordered the Wagyu. As frequent diners, it was the priciest plate I've ever ordered, and it was worth every single penny. From the kitchen's flawless execution to exceptional hospitality that extended from the GM to the bus staff, the evening was perfect. Yes, we dropped a small fortune, but entirely by choice -- the menu accommodates nearly all budgets. We left feeling like we made out like bandits because the memories were priceless. Several times during dinner I literally felt envious of the locals. I hope they realize what a treasure they have in their midst.

I found mixed results with the food. The flatbread appetizer and cheesecake dessert was very good. I ordered steak as my entree and the server asked if I wanted it cooked rare, medium, or well done. I asked for medium rare and she said they couldn't do that. What kind of high end restaurant can't cook a steak medium rare? I found the cut I received to be way too overcooked. If you're looking for a place with a great view, stop by. Just don't order steak.

After we walked in one of the waitresses informed us that we can sit wherever we want. I instantly felt like I was inconveniencing her with my presence by the way she said it. Didn't take it personal just yet. What appeared to be the hostess came over a few minutes after we sat down and handed us menus that were very dirty. I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait? I hate to leave a review like this, but if I was the owner of this business, I would not want someone like that working for me, representing what seems to be a great place.

Upon coming in, you will be guided by the workers on where to park. The parking lot is on a field of grass right in front of the entrance. Prices on the bags vary depending on whether you're apple picking, grape picking, or flower picking; as well as the size of the bags. This orchard consists of different types of activities such as fruit picking, hay rides, dining, drinking, playground for kids, and a small animal farm. They have plenty of drink options like, beer, wine, cider, and non alcoholic beverages. Their cafe menu is limited, but they have a food truck if you want more options. My friends and I ordered... 1. Black Cherry hard cider on tap: This was good; not too sweet and not too strong in terms of alcohol taste. Rate 7/10. 2. Chicken tenders w/fries: The tenders and were fries were average; it tasted like your classic tenders and fries, nothing special. Rate 6/10. 3. Truffle Fries: These were yummy! They had a strong truffle taste which was delicious. Rate 8.5/10. 4. Beef Empanadas: This included 2 empanadas and they both were very tasty! The flavor was great, and the breading was super crispy! Rate 8.5/10. *all the food portions were a generous amount; however; they were a bit pricey.* Lastly, they have a small bakery w/ their baked goods, homemade jams, and ice cream. From their bakery we ordered... 1. Apple cider donuts: These come in 6; they were warm and soft, and had a great apple cider flavor. Rate 7/10. 2. Peanut Butter Cup Cookie: This was delicious! It had a strong peanut butter flavor which I love; and the cookie was nice and soft! Rate 8.5/10. Overall, this orchard is such a fun place to spend time with friends, family, partner, and your dog since it is pet friendly! There are so many awesome things to do, and lots of perfect photo opportunities! I'd definitely recommend this place for those who are looking for an exciting fall activity to do!

For my first course I chose the garlic and butter drenched escargot which was deliciously marinated. Then I had the chicken in cream sauce with potato purée. Delicately delicious. And lastly my four layer chocolate in a glass had different chocolate and other flavors at each layer point. Overall a feast for the senses. Our student servers were charming and patient.
