This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. The service is unbelievably slow, and the staff seem completely uninterested in helping customers. The woman working there and the guy behind the counter spent more time staring at me than actually doing their jobs. At one point I walked in, received a text message, and looked at my phone for literally a few seconds. When I looked back up, the guy behind the counter was already shaking his head "no" at me as if I was asking him for some huge favor. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Last time I checked, helping customers is what he gets paid to do. The entire atmosphere feels like customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the business exists. Nobody greets you properly, nobody seems eager to help, and every simple request feels like you're bothering them. I've been sitting here waiting for what feels like forever, and the service is moving at a painfully slow pace. In fact, I've had so much time waiting that I was able to sit down and write this entire review while absolutely nothing was happening. That's how slow this place is. Watching paint dry would probably be faster and more entertaining than waiting for service here. The food isn't worth the wait either. The smell was unpleasant, and the overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. To make matters worse, the manager was rude and seemed completely unconcerned about the customer experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place earned it. Between the terrible attitude, the lack of customer service, the endless waiting, and the rude behavior from the staff, I can honestly say I will never come back. There are plenty of restaurants that actually appreciate their customers, and I'll gladly spend my money at those places instead. Save yourself the frustration, the wasted time, and the disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Updating a review I posted 4 years ago. Oscars II just keeps getting better. We've eaten there many times now, both onsite and takeout and have celebrated special occasions there with Family and Friends. Rudy and crew are always friendly and accommodating. Marlon and Fausto, there from the beginning, are pros and know how to treat their customers. Angela is a super hostess and the rest of the employees are great as well. The food is delicious, with good portions and fair prices. Glad they are in Somers. read more

I love their salads and appetizers. Due to my special dietary requirements I order mainly grilled salmon. I must stop ordering from Oscar II due to the fact that whenever I order grilled salmon (medium) the inside is mush. There is absolutely no consistency to it. This is a rather expensive dish. I always order a dinner salad and dessert with it. I am a long time customer but I give up. The WORST thing was when I called to talk to the manager about the salmon (food), they text me telling me to text Grubhub (delivery service). Too many places serve grilled salmon and other wonderful dishes. If you can't cook grilled salmon correctly then I will not recommend you further nor will you get my patronage. read more

We've done everything in Mahopac and Yorktown so we moved onto Somers. I won't lie, I get nervous, trying new places because I'm very hard to please. I'll admit I am a food snob. My experience tonight, was overall from beginning to end, one of the best dining experiences I've ever had! We showed up a little early, but they sat us anyway, which was very nice of them. Waiter came up to us, introduced himself, took a drink order, Told us the specials dropped off some delicious bread and let us decide what we wanted. We started with the most delicious, fresh and ice cold Mozzarella Caprese, The dish looked beautiful and even more delicious than I could imagine. For our main course, my wife ordered the Zuppa di Pesce Fra Diavolo and I had the Vitello(Veal) Milanese that came with a side of roasted potatoes. We were so overwhelmed by how delicious our meals were, we stopped talking to each other, and just kept eating! I never saw my wife eat her entire meal before in my life and as far as my Veal, this is my go to dish everywhere I go, and I have to say, by far the best I've ever had! Cooked to perfection, generous portions, all the things you want in a fantastic dining experience! We finished the evening with a couple of desserts Also delicious. I have found my new place. I was seeing a show in Yorktown and was looking for a place to meet my Dad and his wife for dinner before the show which was easy to get to for each of us. I read review's online of Oscar's II and I could not agree more completely with the majority of the reviews! First of all--the owner/manager and all the waitstaff are very friendly and welcoming. It was so pleasant to be thanked for coming in and on the way out asking how our meal was etc. The dining room is nicely decorated and very pleasant with dim lighting and nice tables/chairs with plenty of room. They have an extensive menu with all sorts of options it took me quite a while to choose! I ended up starting with the Escarole and Bean soup which was delightful and to our pleasant surprise all our entrees came with a nice side salad (so many restaurants no longer offer a side salad with meals so this was a great surprise since the salad was fresh and tasty with a nice vinaigrette.) They also give you fresh and tasty rolls on the table when you sit down. I had a dish which was penne, artichokes, chicken and shrimp which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. All their portions are very generous and we each had leftovers to take home! Their prices are also very fair when it comes to other similar restaurants--nothing seems overpriced or unreasonable which is such a nice surprise these days! I know the rest of my party loved their food as well and said this might become regular customers since they only live about 25 minutes away and were so happy with the entire experience. I look forward to going back again in the near future to try some of their other dishes! read more

You know the main dish is gonna be good when the calamari is tender and hot! The service is quick and courteous, very attentive. We split the Pasta alla Rudy and are trying to save room for one their desserts. I am certain they will not disappoint! If you haven't tried them, it is a must! Best place in Somers! Made my child's Bat Mitzvah there and not only were the prices reasonable, the food and service were impeccable. My guests had a wonderful time. Angela, the manager, made sure every single detail was absolutely perfect. She even helped with the decorations! Rudy, the owner, made every dish with love. Located in the Somers shopping center with ample parking. The inside is dimly lit and clean. The kid on the phone was very nice and had a good sense of humor. I was surprised because apparently Oscars in Yorktown is no longer affiliated with Oscars II, I guess there was trouble in paradise. We ordered chicken parm and veal parm for takeout. The veal was incredible. It was tender and juicy, while the tomato sauce was flavorful and sweet. The dish had the perfect amount of cheese on top. The chicken parm was delicious as well. Both dishes came with a pasta and a salad. I go to Oscars in Yorktown frequently but I think Oscars II has it beat with kitchen food. If you want pizza, go to Oscars in Yorktown, if you want better kitchen food, go to Oscars II. I thought $50 for two entrees was pricey at first, but you get a ton of food that delivers on quality and taste. I would definitely return. read more

Dined here with friends last week. Our first time at this location although we have dined at their Yorktown location. We understand that in these times it's not easy running a restaurant and abiding by the rules but the service here was not up to par. Wrong dishes were brought out and service was slow. I must say that the food was very good, although my wife said her dish was better at their other location. We will definitely try this place again when things open up more. read more

First time I came to Oscars 2 was this past Monday 8/2 with my son. We had 3 appetizers baked clams which were absolutely delicious! Then we had a rice ball, and chicken scarp wings. Everything was awesome. I then had Mac & cheese and my son had Chicken Sorrentino with Rigatoni with same sauce and 2 potato croquettes. The food was great. Our server Diane was very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back we really enjoyed our night out at Oscars 2. read more
