They had one set of fresh sheets, and zero access to cleaning supplies or additional linens. So I ended up sleeping on a top sheet and 3 towels. Luckily, I was a girl scout. it didn't help that the room was dilapidated and everything looked dingy. I cleaned the entire room front door all the way through. Just to feel comfortable enough to sleep for a few hours in this horrible place. Pair it up with dirty carpets, a broken shower rod, and a dilapidated shower. Between the light with a short outside of my window blinking incessantly the entire night, noise from the hallway, and the light from under the door I only got 2 and a 1/2 hours of sleep. In addition to all this, someone must have been smoking in an adjacent room because my allergies were flaring so badly from the smoke seeping in. I ended up ill the next 2 days. The only silver lining was the really friendly guy who checked us in late in the evening. Other than a single friendly employee, you need to revamp this hotel.

It…read morehappened at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Westampton, New Jersey, located at 18 Western Drive. While I was distracted on my phone, I saw the cleaning staff enter the room. To my horror, I watched the maid use the same rag to wipe down the toilet, then immediately use it to clean the sink--without changing it. I was stunned and stopped her, asking if I had really just seen her clean the toilet with that rag. She looked confused and said I don't understand. My sister came in to help clarify, and the maid then apologized, saying she would clean it again. The maids also clean your tub and floors with your dirty towels. When I spoke to the front desk, she said maybe the maid forgot and assured me she would speak to management. I then told her that this makes me think this goes on daily at this hotel. Everywhere you look the attention to detail is amazing and the public space really makes you feel like you are at home.

Continental breakfast over at the Ghost Light Inn was nicely done. There is no parking at the property but the valet at Ghost Light was convenient - we didn't move the car the whole stay since everything is so close. They kindly offered to have the valet drop us off with our bags and take the car back. Marc and the team running the show from over at the Ghost Light Inn were so helpful and professional.

I booked a multi-night stay here as part of the last summer vacation I planned with my daughter, with plans to visit the nearby amusement park and water park over multiple days. Instead of being able to enjoy our vacation, I found myself documenting one problem after another and questioning whether this was an appropriate place for my daughter and me to stay. The room and property had numerous cleanliness and maintenance issues. I photographed a visibly dirty HVAC vent; concerning staining and deterioration around portions of the bathroom ceiling; poorly finished and mismatched paint and wall repairs; a microwave that was not acceptably clean; and damaged or compromised-looking door-security hardware. The overall condition of the bathroom was particularly concerning to me. Cleanliness was especially important during this trip because my young daughter had just begun her first menstrual cycle. At an already sensitive and unfamiliar time for her, the last thing I should have had to worry about was whether our hotel bathroom and accommodations were sufficiently clean and sanitary. I was also concerned about the overnight operation of the front desk. Based on what I personally observed, the overnight attendant appeared to have a sofa behind or near the front desk as a place to rest. I did not observe a separate staff area or an obvious bell or other system for guests to summon assistance. My concern is not with the individual employee, but with management's apparent staffing arrangements and whether adequate systems are in place to ensure guests can obtain assistance and the property is appropriately monitored overnight. This was not simply a matter of the hotel being older or needing cosmetic updates. The cumulative cleanliness, maintenance and security concerns made me uncomfortable staying here with my daughter. I have extensive photographs documenting the conditions I personally observed. I am requesting a full refund for my stay and will be escalating my concerns to Comfort Inn/Choice Hotels leadership. A family should be able to check into a hotel expecting a clean, secure and properly maintained rooms and property amenities--especially when they have paid for a multi-night vacation. This experience fell far below that basic expectations and standards.

I was hoping to find libations, as I was trying to escape the persistent vacuuming right outside my door past 7PM. I encountered a pushy & sarcastic bartender at a bar in the corner of the lobby who said the "Sky Lounge" didn't exist. I ordered a vodka & soda from her to take back to my room since the lobby was still rowdy (a few hours later)--no soda could be detected so one can assume it was flat--just like this hotel stay.
