One of the smaller casinos in the area yet still a fun time. I've done pretty well at this casino. I haven't won the big one, but I know it's coming. My mother in law loves Colusa Casino as it's super close to her home, so when we go it's usually with her. Colusa is a clean casino. With food and games it has all the things you need to have a fun time. We came on a Sunday to try their brunch buffet which runs from 10-2pm. It was a pretty good deal. $30 and a full spread. Nothing spectacular like made to order omelettes or waffles and pancakes. But there are servers handing out potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage, eggs and even chilaquiles (which was my favorite). Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and said we'd definitely do it again. We often come here for the birthday bingo. The crowd is usually large for it. I'm talking 300 or so people all vying for a pot of $500 to $1000 each round. This lasts for a couple hours. Tons of machines, a few card tables and a nice bar for sports watching. Bathrooms are always super clean. While writing this review I'm realizing how awesome the experience is for the size of the place. It's well run. This review is for the Smokey River tobacco Shop located on the casino property. I've been looking for a shop with reasonably priced menthol cigarettes. Friendly employees, great service and great price on both Signal and Native cigarettes and vapes! They also sold Newports but at a much higher price. Still much better than other places. Many other Native American smoke shops have chosen to price gouge customers and I no longer give then my business. As I have said before I am not a gambling person but I actually do love casinos. I grew up in Reno, a long long time ago and the nostalgia for penny slots, cocktail waitresses, and the clang of metal being collected makes me wistful. At Colusa, they have a lot of different machines and vary in price. The lowest penny slot I could find was still 45 cents to play a hand. My favorite part is the self service coffee and soda station, I love when casinos have this. If you go to the bar you can take your drink out onto the floor but they will only sell you one at a time so make sure you tell your buddy to go get their own beer. There is a restaurant inside, and a limited hours buffet, as well as a cafe that sells snack items. I wish there was more of a music venue or dance floor, seems like the only thing missing! read more

First time here and it was okay. Not very big and hardly any food options. They do have a little restaurant called Jack's place. They offer burgers, Mexican food, pasta, appetizers etc. I appreciate the self serve soda and coffee station that is complimentary. I did get $20 play money for signing up as a new casino member. Stopped in for the first time for breakfast after a long drive. We missed breakfast by 5 minutes (till 11am) so we passed. They do have 3 items for "breakfast all day" but none that I liked such as eggs Benedict or a burrito. I was surprised that it didn't smell like cigarette smoke!! It was very clean inside and not crowded. Bathroom was very tidy! I put in 20 bucks in a machine as I was leaving and lost it in 5 minutes and remembered why I don't care to gamble! It looks like they have newer slots if that's your thing. They also have a hotel on site with a cafe and full bar and self serve coffee/soda area. What really finalized my relationship with Colusa Casino was getting a personalized letter in the mail from Marcos. I was genuinely impressed that envelope was handwritten. To me that very personal touch that I appreciate. I've been in communication with him about four months and every time I have a question, he responds within an hour or two. He always books my rooms & always hook me up. Marcos is extremely professional and enthusiastic. I look forward to coming every month to say hi to him and all the people that work here. If you're able to connect with him and get an executive host tell him Malissa sent you! Now for the rooms - it meets all requirements that I need. I always appreciate the Fiji bottled water and the two little bags of candy that are in the rooms complementary. Like any hotel they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand wash. I prefer to stay on the second or third floor because the first floor in the bathroom have a slight sewage smell. But I have a hypersensitive nose. I've never came across a dirty room or dirty towels. I've stayed here about 4 to 5 times and I enjoy every time. My first time to Colusa on the bus, it was 20.00 for me and my daughter was free since it was our first time. We received 30.00 free play which was Awesome! This Casino seems small, but it was a nice visit. I won 300.00 on a penny machine. The bingo hall was small considering other bingo halls but they did have a good size snack bar ( Chicken club sandwich is good but served cold ). I've been to so many casinos in the Northern California area and I have to say, this casino has its differences. If they operated the same as larger casinos, there wouldn't be any reason to go. So, let's review what's good and what's not so good. Good: I love the self service soda and coffee. It's very clean (not many smokers there). When I left, my clothes didn't smell bad. Restrooms were very clean and didn't smell at all. They had a good amount of the popular slots and some good old fashioned slots that other casinos no longer have. I enjoyed those slots. Parking was easy. Staff was friendly. If you know what you're doing, it's very possible to win. In my opinion, it appeared that their return to player percentage is higher than other casinos. Keep in mind that there's no guarantee you will win but I still felt like I got something back. Not so good: Their high limit room had zero electronic slots. All were mechanical reels. It was super tiny and wasn't impressive at all. It looked more like a dungeon. When I was there, there were no card dealers so I couldn't play any card games. The whole place appeared to be understaffed, so service was slow. There were no music, no announcements, no promotions. It was just quiet except for the slot sounds. read more

I've been coming to Colusa Casino for years, but I'm extremely disappointed and concerned about how they've handled the progressive jackpots on table games--and how they've tried to silence questions about it. In February, they removed a Pai Gow game that had over $93,000 in player-funded progressive bets. Staff and players were told this money would be "spread across" new games, but only a small portion actually showed up. Where did the rest go? This raises serious questions about whether player-contributed funds were properly handled, as required under fair and legal gaming practices. On Ultimate Texas Hold'em, the Royal Flush progressive was maxed at $5,000 for months. Staff were instructed to tell players it would "reset higher" after hitting, encouraging months of $1 side bets. When it finally hit in July, it just reset to the $1,500 minimum--the same as before. Players were misled into thinking their contributions were building a larger jackpot. When I asked about this on their official Facebook page, they deleted my comment and blocked my account instead of explaining anything. Even creating a new account, I couldn't find their page anymore. I believe these practices are unfair to players and may even violate legal gaming requirements. Players deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability--not censorship when they ask what happened to their money. This experience has completely changed how I see this casino. read more

Was here on a Thursday night and saw their surf and turf special for $55 in the Hall of Fame Club. Dining was not what I expected at all and the lady at the counter did not even info us what kind of dining it was. Turns out it was a "buffet" style. Picture was deceiving as well since it was a picture of a nicely seasoned steak and shrimps. So what was served was a slice of prime rib, 6 shrimp, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes. The all you can eat item was just salad, chilled shrimp, and pie. Drink option was just water, tea, coffee. WORST Experience ever and was not worth the price not to mention the set up looks like a catering event rather than a restaurant. I booked the Hotel for 2 nights through Hotels.com and prepaid the reservation. First off, when I went to check in, I was told that a 150.00 "security deposit" would be charged to my card and refunded when my stay was completed. I wasn't happy about the fact that there was nothing mentioned when I made the reservation. But I paid it. This was 5 days ago. When I checked to see if it had been refunded, I discovered that not only had it not been refunded but that my card had been charged 327.42, basically 150.00 a night for the 2 nights. Add that to the $200.00+ that I had paid to Hotels.com and I ended up paying 250.00 per night for a hotel with no room service and one bar/restaurant. When I called to try to get it straightened out, I only got voicemail and no response. Definitely going to rethink staying here again. We have been loyal customers of this casino for 23 years. Unfortunately for the past 3-4 years there has been a significant change in the way the treat and reward their customers. Their website promotes tier rewards when you move into the next tier, but you need to let them know immediately that your status has changed in order to receive the tier rewards that they promise. It doesn't say that on their page. Their food is sub-par and the "buffet" is horrible but pricey. The machines don't pay, not even a little so that you might enjoy yourself for a few hours without having to leave your paycheck, then this is the place you want to go to. I, however have decided I will not be leaving my hard earned cash to be treated so poorly. I've tried to speak with management in any of the departments, but to no avail has anyone ever responded. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I frequently visit and play at many casinos, but Colusa Casino has been, by far the absolute worst! Their customer service is horrible, the rewards center counter customer service personnel had no personality. I work in a customer service environment, and regardless of how I am feeling, I always greet everyone with a smile. The food in the cafe, not only is the food gross, the hostess and staff clearly need training. I am not a Karen, but in this review I know my inner Karen has been released! Please know this was our first visit. At the beginning of December 2024, I saw a post online that they had a buffet available. I got all excited that my husband and I drove over and hour and a half, only to be told that it wasn't opening until 2025. The catch of the brightly colored post advertising the various buffet offerings, had in teeny small print (Coming in January 2025). Ok, so yes, maybe I could've looked at the ad more, but the print was so small. Well, we used our free play for signing up for their rewards card and their card system is severely delayed and most machines I tried using, did not accept the free play. Now, every other casino has some sort of signage or a label that is posted, which clearly states if a machine does not accept free play. Well, this casino does not post which machines do not accept free play. And now time to review the cafe! Unfortunately, since the buffet wasn't open, we wanted something to eat. So, we decided to try the cafe. It looked clean and had seating. Now, from the first impression of it, you ordered first, then pick up your order, which we thought was odd. We placed our order, the hostess told us to come back in 20 minutes, which we did, and we were told to pick up our order at the counter. When we went to the counter, our order was bagged up to-go, I asked the person behind the counter if we could dine-in and he answered, "I guess so?" So, we got our bagged up food and sat a table. We were the approached by a waiter who said that the dining area is for dining-in only and not for to-go customers. So, I explained that the hostess never asked if our order was to-go or dine-in to begin with, and that I had asked the person behind the order counter if we could sit. So, the waiter apologized, said that the staff is new, and that he would talk to them. Now, I know for those reading, you're probably saying, "you could've of asked the hostess, etc.", and you're correct; however, it is the host/hostesses position to ask if you are dining-in or if you are ordering to-go. A person who ordered right before us wasn't asked as well, and they too were confused, because this person sat by us and mentioned the same issue to the same waiter. Ok, fast forward to present day (January 2025). I received an email stating I am eligible for a free gift, due to the points I accrued in December. I was very reluctant, but my husband and I drove the hour and a half, only to be notified by swiping my rewards card at the kiosk that the gifts were no longer available, I received $20 in free play instead, and now I had to deal with their severely delayed card system, and still unable to use my free play on certain machines. Hoping someone from Colusa Casino will read this, for I did send them an email stating the issues that occurred in December. I never received an email back or a survey from them. I have mixed feelings about this casino. The staff is very friendly and the restaurants are good. But they change their slots so often that they're never the same good ones twice and we go about once a week. They are constantly moving or getting rid of new games. The thing that infuriates me is that my boyfriend and I go together all the time and play (& lose!) about the same amount of money. We are on the same tier on our players' cards (finally! Took me forever to reach the 2nd tier).. Yet he consistently gets more free play, more rewards and freebies than I do. I asked the rewards cashier about it and she said she has heard that a lot but it's promotions who makes the decisions and they just decide who gets what. That is really unfair!
