I walked in with the wetsuit, Gretchen looked at it and suggested I wait a couple minutes. And came out with it fixed! She could have charged me a rush fee and I would have paid without question. I am so impressed with Traveling Bags. Yesterday, I brought in a leather fanny pack with a missing zipper pull and a Columbia backpack with a rip along the zipper. They estimated that the backpack would be done in about two weeks and the fanny pack would be closer to four weeks. Within two hours of dropping off my items, I got an email saying they were both complete. I was a little confused, so I gave them a call. But as it turned out, they were able to get my items repaired that very same day! I was blown away by their efficiency. Moreover, the cost of repairs was incredibly reasonable. It ran me about $30.00 for the fanny pack (because it was leather and that requires more special attention) and about $25.00 for the backpack. The repairs were done so well, that you'd never even guess that there was an issue in the first place. I'd highly recommend bringing any of your damaged items to Traveling Bags. The attention to detail is incredible and Burt the owner is so friendly. Traveling Bags is in a different, much larger location than my original long-ago review. In my opinion if you travel regularly (more then a few times a year) a good quality suitcase is one of the best investments you can make. About 8-9 years ago I splashed out on a Briggs & Riley which has gotten hard use and been all over the world with me. It's been thrown around by careless handlers, stuffed to the max and shoved into countless overhead compartments. And yet, it looks like new! Sadly, Air Canada finally did it - they smashed my handle housing and it wouldn't retract. Enter Traveling Bags - they'll repair your luggage no problem! Mine had a lifetime warranty so it was just a matter of getting the parts in (they handled everything for me with the manufacturer) and Old Faithful is as good as new! The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable - they'll help you find that perfect bag. Phenomenal place! I needed to get my zipper fixed on a very expensive custom pool case. They took care of it in less than a day, and it looks better than new! I've never seen so much "stuff" packed into such a small store front. The store carries every travel accessory imaginable. Need one of those nifty straps to attach your briefcase to your travel case? They got 'em. Need one of those chochkies to stick on your black bag to distinguish it from all the other black bags on the carousel? Yep. Travel socks and an inflatable neck pillow? Check and check. I used this store for their luggage repair service and was very pleased. I had a very nice hard-shell case that needed a new caster and could not bring myself to throw it out but alas, it was not usable in its current condition. My brother has used them several times before and recommended that I give them a try. About 7 business days and thirty bucks later, viola, I had another usable piece of luggage. I chose this place based on reviews. When I dropped my bag off I was talking with owner who told me he had recently purchased the business from the former owner. He said the shells on my bag could be replaced and I would be called with in (X) amount of days. That time passed and I had to call about my bag and left several messages. It wasn't ready "but I would be called in the next few days" as soon as it was. Days came and went, I had to finally call yet again and was greeted with "I was just going to call you..." Was the work done? Yes. Was it done in a timely manner as was stated when I dropped it off? This company doesn't just fix luggage, they are willing to go the extra mile with there repairs. My father many years ago give me a leather dog leach for our dog. After many years and a few dogs, it finally broke in two pieces. Not wanting to throw out this leather keepsake, I took it over to traveling bags.
