My girlfriend saw something in the window and wanted to check it out, so we did. Styles and clothing was nice...very nice. She tried on jeans and a t-shirt both for which looked like they were made for her. The owner wasn't there but the person minding the store was very helpful....providing a ton of suggestions and comments about fit and sizes and alternatives within the store...which is tiny by the way. In the end, she bought a t-shirt and jeans and was very happy with her purchase which came to around a little less than $130....which for 2 items is a bit much, but considering how they looked on her...well worth it.

They not only help struggling villages all over the world but I just love the fact that it is being done right here in Asheville! Try the coffee, it's so good! Oh and by the way, Incite Coffee beans are roasted in Asheville so you're also supporting locals as well! In these crazy times Ten Thousand Villages makes you feel safe. They have hand sanitizer, implement the mask rule, social distancing and put in a brand new store wide air filter system. The girl that rang me up was nice after I kept talking. The guy that worked there really could have cared less about customer experience. The clothing is the typical Torrid store (which I love) being a size 14. They didn't write my name on the dressing room or do the extra touches to make me have an excellent experience.

It is really messed up. That being said, Torrid is a small store in the Asheville mall that has really fun, stylish, fashionable clothing. Every time I've been into Torrid in Asheville, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They're always happy to chat and help finding proper fitting clothes. I love that when you start grabbing clothes that you're interested in, they will put it a dressing room for you and write your name. That always makes me feel taken care of (even if it's just their policy, haha). My only complaint about Torrid is that it is a bit overpriced. I can't really afford to shop here. Unfortunately there isn't much competition when it comes to plus-size clothing, so they can mark things up. They sell clothing that is very well-made and nice cuts that are made for curvy bodies.
