I would give Travln Toys ten stars if it were an option! They saved our Father's Day weekend trip on our way to Lake Tahoe this morning. We pulled over in Livermore after my husband noticed a difference in our trailer brake system while towing our 24 ft Searay boat. We noticed the hydrolic brake line was detached and leaking! Scary! We spent the next hour calling over a dozen trailer specialists and mechanics in Livermore , no one giving us the time of day to even look at it today, or not knowledgeable regarding trailer repair (although they advertise it) . My husband remembered seeing the sign for Travln Toys off the freeway about 30 minutes from where we were and we decided to give them a call. Within one second on the phone, the technician knew what was going on and told us to come in. We inched in, driving slowly and cautiously over the Altamont. It was exactly what the technician suspected and we were able to secure the part (It's called a reverse lockout solenoid valve), which they located back in Livermore , repair the trailer and get us back on the road quickly and painlessly. We have an autistic son, and it would have put a major wrench in our weekend plans had we not been able to tow the boat to the lake weekend. Travln Toys saved our as* today! read more

Didn't check Yelp before I called but not surprised their rating is so low. Asked for a price on a trailer over the phone multiple times and they wouldn't give me one and kept asking me to make an offer which kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Guy was super abrupt and rude and was not knowledgeable about California sales laws so he kept misinforming me that my permit (special use case) that I use to purchase isn't valid, I was calmly trying to explain the truth , which is that he had his forms mixed up and the guy was super rude "I don't need a class bad bad bad" I continued to be polite, but then they kept playing price games so by the end of the call I decided to buy somewhere else. After telling the guy he was a jerk and I'd take my business elsewhere. If it's not too much hassle I recommend going to Martinez or Vacaville to buy anything similar to what these jerks have Mind you I made an offer on FB marketplace, and they told me to call instead of telling me what they could do- wasting everyone's time read more

I needed a bolt for my leaf spring hanger so went in to the store and upon arrival I was barely talked to by any of the employees that were not busy. I went in and talked to the lady at the counter and she asked if I want them to put it on which I said no but can I borrow a wrench and she said we have to charge you 75 dollars to put the bolt in which would take 2 minutes. I was blown away and would have paid something but not 80 dollars for a 2 min job. My opinion of the place is it's a complete rip off. read more

Spent many hours driving and dealing with poor dealers who say they know what they are doing. I had an issue with my toy haulers springs....one dealer blew me off the second said your springs are in spec. I'm no expert but taking measurements told me something was wrong. Just so you know they worked on a 2016 Heartland Torque 321 (38ft long). I'm local to Tracy and gave Travln Toys a call. Pat answered my call and gave me options on springs. He did not pressure me or tried to up-sell me in any way nor gave me any BS. I booked my appointment, he made some recommendations and I said let's do it. Gave me a fair honest price. Left the trailer on 2/7 and was told will be done the same day. Got a call from Pat and gave me a heads up that after taking a look the springs he recommended was not the best option and explained the 7 leaf set up is better suited for my trailer. He said all that is missing is u-bolts and it will be done tomorrow afternoon. And, it was earlier than expected! LOVED the communication....the other dealers I dealt with "the customer" had to call to get status. Picked up the trailer the next day 2/8 and Pat exceeded my expectations even told me the cost of the new spring set up is lower. He was super busy with many customers but still chatted with me even after I paid my bill. Am I a repeat customer.....you bet I am! Everything that you need to get yourself up and running as well. His location is off the freeway in Tracy California and should be GPS'ed because its out of the way and could be hard to find. But CALL FIRST. They are not accepting walkin's. I just got a LOW PROFILE hauler for my stuff that will travel nicely behind my 2008 Mercedes C Class. Its lightweight aluminum, padded, and has lights in it. Oh and he also sells the Nemesis boot for ultimate protection. This is the one that cars get when they owe parking tickets and the city doesnt want you to move your vehicle until they get paid. And his selection of SOLAR is great for Outdoor lighting and Battery Charging as well. Their Parts department is top notch too as well as their installation department. I had an appointment with Lenny yesterday and woke up this morning with excitement that I could hardly believe how reasonable their prices are and the service is excellent. This is strictly for the general manager and how the service Dept is run, or not run for that matter. If you don't wanna read the whole thing, basically they tried to charge me 2200 bucks worth of work that Rogers Camping Trailers did for 850. Oh also, they had my trailer for over a month while Rogers did everything in a week flat. 1) so I take my car hauler and I said "no big rush but maybe within a couple weeks we'll have an estimate and possibly start working on it?" They agreed, yet after two weeks I had to call every few days to remind them that my trailer was there. They kept blowing me off saying "no problem, give me one more day." Which ended up being two weeks later. 2) so now over a month at the shop without even so much a phone call, much less an estimate, I finally get a call and their "estimate"... for over 2200 bucks! Mind you, there's already brakes and axles on the rig which happen to be in good shape. 3) I come in and the estimate gets dropped to 1600, which is better but I decide not to do the work as the entire process was shady from the start and I didnt trust these guys. So I decide to take my trailer and go elsewhere. 4) I guess the manager doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground because he's now trying to charge me 1600 fucking dollars for absolutely nothing. I explain that it was just an estimate and that no work was actually done on my trailer but, I might as well have been speaking Aramaic to him because he was completely lost after that. 5) simple solution, pull up my trailer and look at the rotted tires and old hubs to verify right? Nope, not this genius, somehow this "general manager" didn't know where my trailer was, didn't know how to read an estimate and didn't know if and when some other staff would be there to assist me. 6) Finally, hours later another competent employee calls me and "allows" me to pick up my shit. I picked it up, literally drove straight to Rogers on 11th and got all the work done and new tires on my trailer done for about a third of the cost. read more

Sad to say we've had the worst experience with this company, if your looking to purchase something they have sitting in the lot go for it. You won't have any problems. Anything that takes an ounce of extra work though don't expect much. I ordered a bed from a gentleman that worked there about a year and a half ago. For starters it took 6 months to get it when I was told 8-10 weeks worst case scenario. Bed showed up completely being the wrong one. We had to them order another one but being as we are now 7-8 months into this guess what they want to charge me more because the prices went up. Didn't know them ordering me the wrong bed was my mishap and I was going to be punished for that, but you know what I need the bed and just wanted to get it done so let's move forward. Again with the 8-10 weeks. Fast forward we are now a year and 3 months into this and the second bed shows up. Completely scratched and beat up bad all over the place, on top of it being the wrong bed again... they apologize and say they will get ahold of norstar and see what happened. I don't hear back for almost 3 weeks so I call to check in and poof another surprise the guy that was helping me doesn't work there anymore and nobody had any information on me or my bed I ordered and now tells me they don't deal with beds since that guy left. After I explain my issues dealing with the company they reassure me they will talk to the owner make an exception and rectify this right a way. I figured you okie what it's been a year and a half but at least they are willing to fix this. Week goes by I call because as usual nobody reached out to me. "Still waiting for an answer".... This went on 4 more calls throughout the month. The last call I made 4 weeks later I was told, "sorry we cannot order you a norstar bed anymore nothing we can do" absolute worst experience if my life, complete waste of time and screwed me so many ways within my company not being able to have this done in a timely matter to now not at all. Would never recommend going here as clearly the owner has no care in the world to his customers. Me personally as a business owner myself would never EVER support a company like that.if you decide to do business here all I can say is best of luck to you. Really? Why would you go anywhere else for trailer work? Last year I brought them my Tracker Targa boat and trailer. I often fish alone and this boat required 2 people to put it on the trailer. Travlin' Toys turned this trailer into a drive-on, self centering trailer that made it a cake walk at the boating ramp. This year I replaced that boat with one whose trailer required a 5-pin flat plug. My truck was in the shop getting worked on before my ride showed up to take me back to the office. I returned the next day to pick up the truck. Great work done with reasonable prices. Don't bother shopping, you found the right place. read more

I spent over $4,000 on a used golf cart about 3 months ago and I was told that the batteries are in great shape and were replaced not very long ago. After following the the instructions that I was told about keeping the golf cart charged every night my batteries are now dead as they were crap to begin with from what I'm being told. $800 later the cart runs and performs like it should. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME HERE. I have never done a bad review on Yelp because I feel there is almost always something positive to say, but this place gave us the worst customer service experience EVER. In the beginning it started out good. My boyfriend and I wanted a 14 ft dump trailer. We headed to Travln Toys, found the trailer we wanted and I started the financing process. They gave us an estimate on 12/20/2016 for a total price of $11,397.85. In the middle of getting the financing approved (which was a long process because they never returned phone calls when they said they would), we ended up having the full amount in cash. I called them to let them know that we had the cash for the trailer and asked if they would give us a TINY discount for the trailer and hitch installment since we had cash on hand. They said the best they could do was $11,600. I spoke with my boyfriend, who agreed to the price, and called them back. In that phone conversation they told me they could actually only do $12,100, which was more than the estimate they gave us in the beginning!! We asked to speak with the manager, Lenny, and we let him know the price that was on our estimate. He didn't even let us finish talking before he cut us off and said they couldn't give us the price on our estimate! I am grateful for what happened because we ended up going to Bonander Trailers in Turlock and got the same size trailer for $3,000 less than they offered! Also, dealing with their parts department was a nightmare! The first time we went in there the lady told us that the gooseneck hitch would be around $400 and the air bags would be just around that same price, plus labor. We ordered the hitch and called back to order the air bags and set up an appointment and Pat told us the air bags would be $2,100!!! We hung up, called our diesel mechanics who installs them and he told us the price for top of the line air bags ran under $1,000. We called Pat back to let him know and he said we "misunderstood him" and the $2,100 price included labor. Even if that is the case, that would be charging us for 10 hours of labor when they normally take 4 hours maximum to install! I hope you read all of this so you don't end up going through the craziness and absolute horrible customer service we went through. read more

Do not buy anything from Travln Toys. I purchased a trailer from them 6 months ago ($8,000). Recently had a warranty issue with the trailer. The general manager (Lenny) was involve in the repair process. They have had the trailer in their shop for 5 weeks and still not fixed. No call back with updates and no time line for repair. I finally called the trailer manufacture to try to get repairs started. I also tried to get in touch with the owner and still no call back. There are plenty of trailer dealers in Modesto, Turlock and Stockton. I would highly suggest going to any of them. If there was a zero star ratting they would get it. read more

Don't even know where to begin. Went here knowing exactly what I wanted (7x14 enclosed trailer). Got the financing situated and they went to hook up the trailer. My boyfriend had a 2" ball and they told us we needed a 2 5/16" ball. Lenny, the manager apparently, picked out what we needed and installed it on my truck as we were paying for the part. Hooked us up and we were heading back to the Bay Area. Hit a bump on the Altamont and the trailer came unhitched. My boyfriend noticed Lenny hooked up a 2" ball. Now my bumper is messed up and I have a trailer stuck underneath my truck. I called them and they sent their mechanic over who helped remove the jack from beneath my truck. We took it back to travln toys (with the right ball size) and they put on a brand new electric jack. Oscar, the mechanic, started pulling fuses out of my truck and killed my engine. He put the fuse back in and now my traction control and engine lights are on. He said my computer should reset and I'll be ok. Well, we get onto the road and now my truck won't shift out of 2nd gear. Definitely not going back to this place. Don't get me wrong, they are all very friendly but holy crap we could have died. I also bugged them about their insurance because I'm definitely going to file a claim with through liability policy. They kept telling me "it's in the packet" that I received, or "it's locked in the office so call us on Monday." Hopefully by Monday I'll have their insurance information squared away. Until then, I'm on the side of the road trying to repair my truck that originally showed up to travln toys in perfect condition. read more

We are lucky to have a great Trailer Repair and Service Business in Tracy. I recently had my 5th wheel RV Lifted to fit my new Truck. The modification were done with skill and attention to details. Beyond this, they also repaired several other issues. My trailer is ready for Camping Season. I didn't expect them to handle my RV's problems because they usually deal with Cargo/utility trailers mainly. I would strongly recommend taking your RV Trailers here First.
