Not very ethical. I bought a trailer that had a spare tire installed. The lights needed checked out so I had to come back. I filled out all the DMV paper work and when they went to get the trailer and hooked it up to my truck the spare tire had been removed off the trailer. When I asked them where it was I was told they don't come with one. When I picked out the trailer the salesman told me pick this one because it had a spare tire. I was told they could order me one but I would have to pay for it. No thanks. What a scam will never go back you shouldn't either, look elsewhere. They could care less for there customers. read more

I purchased a 16' sundowner car hauler in July 2018 two 5200# axles and started hauling 5000# and was on my way to snapping this trailer in half had to take it to Oklahoma where they proceeded to weld lots of aluminum to this trailer total bs management sticks to we just sell what they send us better look closely at what your buying thinking about small claims and 11 mo. Later dexter axles 3 grease seal failures so I'm buying 4 new brake assembly's read more

This place needs a NEGATIVE number of stars! I have never dealt with the most inept group of people in my life. No calls back, no one knows who you are when you need to call 15 times to follow up on calls they are supposed to be calling you back on. They say they called you back and spoke to someone, whom is not even at your number but they are adamant that they called back and spoke to someone whom is not even in your office. STAY AWAY!! Called for information regarding a stock item. was given some runaround about their web pricing as being wrong. I had been researching for a couple weeks and nothing had changed. person who answered the phone said the information was obviously wrong and that the prices in general would increase the following day with new stock. i asked to speak with the manager, Lenny I believe, and got voicemail. left a message and never received a call back. after doing some research and reading other reviews, this seems to be the norm. the place was recommended to me by a friend and i voiced my opinion to that friend. Well unfortunately most of the yelp reviews are accurate. Took us forever to get financing on our trailer. And nobody would bother to call us back. We had to call and bug them numerous times. It doesn't seem they want to do business with anyone. We get here to pick up the trailer three weeks later cause that is how long it took for all the paperwork to go through and the lighting systems on the trailer don't work. Initially they tried to tell us it was a fuse in our truck. Hm worked just fine when we had our toy hauler hooked to it. Try again people. My husband found this place but I would not recommend it unless you are doing a cash deal not sure if the process goes any smoother. You may have to go to the bank with them to make sure the bills aren't counterfeit. LOL. read more

Almost lost a tire, lug nuts came loose, don't know if it was a vandalism or just worked themselves out. One lug left on the rim, I took two from the other side and made my way here. Thank god I made it at 1700 hrs before they close. They were very nice and swapped out the studs, put lugs back on and I was on the road by 1730. Wide selection of trailers and a parts department that seems to have everything. When I originally bought my trailer here the service was great. Sale went smooth and I picked out a great trailer for work. My problem with Travin Toys is not with service department but rather with the parts department. I ordered a part for the trailer they said would take 5-6 weeks for delivery. Ok no problem. Well at week 8 I started calling to see the ETA on this order. This went on for 13 weeks. I finally got the call my part was in. It was supposed to be delivered to my house!! Not to Tracy an hr and a half away. This is all bad, but the worst is they didn't even get my order right. I ordered a fraction of what they delivered. The parts department says they wont sell it separately. I called the manufacture direct. They do sell just the part I need. The incompetence in this department was overwhelming. read more

Issue was I found a trailer I wanted to purchase for cash.. went around the lot found a 6x10 for $2295.00 Get inside to purchase it and the other guy at the computer at the front desk changed the displayed price that was ziptied to the trailer itself on a yellow card to $2995.00.. he wouldn't honor their advertised price. Won't be returning.. drove to Lodi to trailer plus, much better service and the price didn't change from the 5 minutes I found the trailer to purchasing it. Highly do not recommend this company for any business. Any company who changes the price so they can make a few extra bucks is disgraceful and doesn't belong in our community. read more

We own a 2012 Travel Trailer (Cruiser RV Fun Finder) and we needed to get it checked out and reg maintenance done. After trying other places in Tracy & Livermore and always passing by Travl'n Toys on 205, we thought to go in and check it out. We talked with Pat in service and made an appt. The trailer was done when he said it would be and everything was checked, adjusted and fixed. They even kept the old parts for us. Pat was very patient with us as we had several questions in reference to towing down step grades, weight distribution hitches, brake controllers etc. Our experience at Travl'n Toys could not have been better. I almost didn't go because of Amanda C's review but my trailer brakes were out and I had to drive it back to LA. I was pretty desperate and passing through Tracy. It was about 4 PM when I rolled in and there were about four trailers ahead of me. The service person on that day, Liz, was running around taking care of the guy who'd pulled in before me and said she'd be right with me. Long story short, she got his trailer in- I told her my issue- she had the mechanic take a look and told me probably the next day but lets see (sympathized with my plight of having to get back to LA) within the hour, diagnosed/ fixed/ and taped back up my wiring harness including changing a fuse on the truck, and only charged me for an hour labor. Liz and everyone else I talked to were professional but still personable and made me feel like I was getting a favor from family. I not only recommend them but also know where I'm getting my next trailer. Thanks guys, you bailed me out of a tough one! Cheers! read more

I just purchased a Lamar Dump Trailer from Jose'. I was impressed with their inventory and attention to quality products. Bottom line is that they do not sell the typical junk trailers that I had seen elsewhere in the Bay Area. Around here, if you see a dump trailer or flat bed (and probably just about any other trailer) behind our local farmer and contractor trucks, chances are, it came from Travln Toys. Poor sales/customer service. My husband and I walked in, ready to buy a cargo trailer with cash. The gentleman was on the phone but sent us outside and said he'd be with us shortly. 15-20 minutes later he still hadn't come out. We walked back in and he was still on the phone. We decided to leave and he just smiled at us, didn't even try to stop us. I guess these guys don't want a sale. I gave it two stars because they do have a large selection of trailers. read more

This place is so terrible and unprofessional. We went to pick up a trailer we had reserved and we had to wait an hour for them to tell us we weren't able to rent it. Then we drove home and came back with all the paperwork and everything they asked us for and were sitting there for another hour and again they found something wrong with the exact paper work they required from us. I called and asked how much it would cost to have my truck camper removed and my tailgate put back on my truck. Well the guy that answered said that he had to transfer me to service. He did... no answer. I called this guy back and he says he'll call the service person on the radio. I got an answer to my phone call but then got quoted a 2 hour labor charge to remove my camper attach the tailgate to my truck and reattach the camper.!!! I told him the 2 hours must have included the trip to the ER when he dropped my camper on his foot and politely said I would take my business elsewhere. I need to mention that this was my second try at using this business after a referral from COX Bros tires. Never again. First attempt I got the same inefficient service on the phone. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences in recent memory. I purchased a trailer for my business and had the front of the roof blow off in while going over the Altamont Pass. Travlntoys forwarded emails for 2 weeks with no resolution when I simply wanted a refund for what I felt was a low quality trailer. They never answered the question about whether they would provide a refund and, when I called to press them, the receptionist Cheri wouldn't let me finish my sentence. They kept repeating over and over to call the manufacturer. I couldn't get a straight answer from them on the refund. Cheri ultimately felt I was being rude trying to get a response to my questions and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to Pat, asking to speak with the owner. He made up a story about how the owner just walked out, gave me the same line about never calling them again, and threatened to hang up on me again. I finally got them to answer the question about the refund right before they hung up. "There's absolutely no chance," was the response. Then another repetition of the mantra, "Don't ever call us again." This outfit has terrible customer service and, what's worse, no class whatsoever. I would be ashamed to treat my customers with such disrespect. They had no empathy (or attempt at empathy) for the risk to my company of having the roof come off my trailer on the freeway. And they didn't want anything to do with the resolution. read more

The trailer was featured in the homecoming parade and was our foundation for our float. Bought 2010 horse trailer from an out of state dealer and brought it in for a brake inspection. They put new brake pads on and said it was good to go. I pulled out of the lot and had no brakes. Turned around and brought it back and they said it must be my brake controller. I drove my truck to Chevrolet and they tested it with the trailer and said it was the trailer brakes. Went back to Travln Toys, they adjusted my brakes and told me to drive 50 or so miles and they would brake in. Drove home with no brakes! After 100 miles and very little brakes I called the Dealer that I bought it from and explained I had no brakes.( Travln Toys never once road tested it) The Dealer called Travln Toys and were told the brakes work and that it was my controller.They never once offered for me to bring it in even though they would get paid by the dealer (Smart move). Now I have to fight with the dealer because Travln Toys tells them it is my truck not the brakes. After talking to the dealer I made a deal to take it to D2 trailers in Galt. If they find something wrong they would pay, if they didn't I would pay for the inspection. Well D2 road tested it and confirmed NO BRAKES!. They replaced the Brake drums and the brakes work great. I guess Travln Toys didn't need the $650 dollars to fix the drums. Called the owner Terry and he never called me back. If he would have I would have never YELPED them. BEWARE...WHAT A JOKE!!! read more

I went to rent a flat trailer for tractor The person behind the counter Wally add to do the paperwork three different times after he took me on a ride to look at the trailer we decided to take that one he sent the person out to do pick it up call back on the radio to tell him it was broken Wally ignored therefore had to do the redo paperwork I I was there for one hour and 10 minutes. My daughter is in Student Leadership at her school. Travln Toys had donated a flat bed for the homecoming float. The pick up date and time were established early on. Well, two days before the homecoming, Another class went and said they were the ones who had called about the flat bed and it was mistakenly given to them. when my daughters class went to pick the flat bed up, that's when we realized what happened. We drove around all day to try to find something for their class so that they would have something for homecoming. Hours before the game, Travln Toys came through, although it wasn't what the class had reserved, Travlin Toys found them a smaller flat bed and they were able to decorate it, and participate in the homecoming. I can't tell you how much that meant to the student and parents. This showed that what may have been no big deal to someone else, was a very big deal to Travln Toys. I want to thank Travln Toys for helping The Weston Ranch class of 2014. I also want to mention that this meant so much to me and my husband, that we bought a Cargo trailer for our small business. The trailers look all nice an shiney sittin on the lot but...the wood is junk, the rivets/screws are sloppy, the support braces behind the wood is about 2 feet apart, the wood is not treated under the trailer and so on...do not buy these cheap trailers! Oh yeah the tires are also pieces of crap. Made it a whoppin 1000 miles before they were already half worn. Had to stop at Les Schwab to get some real trailer tires installed, which wasnt cheap. I asked the sales associate if he could match there price or get close. The answer I got in return is. You should go buy them there then. That's my price is not going to change. Advertise that they had great deals ask for specials and discounts so I drove down an hour was ready to buy but unfortunately the best they can do was give me $100 off of the price on a $6000 trailer and every time I asked about a different oneThe gentleman would tell me he only could discount that one $100 also. I am pretty bummed that I wasted my time. When I walked onto the property I had to actually call to get someone to help me then he would leave me every five minutes or so to go help someone else. I have bigger expectations for this place. I brought a trailer over to them to have the deck replaced. Pat was nice and quoted me $900. I didn't have the time to do it myself so I said ok. Two weeks later it was done. I had them look at a couple of tail lights that weren't working and they said the wires were old and corroded so I let them re wire the trailer. It's a small flat deck so it's a easy wire job. When I picked it up they said the tire bearings were checked and repacked. Ok cool thanks. I was then given a bill for $1,300. So a quick wire job and packed bearings took it from $900-$1,300. Pat wasn't there and I just didn't want the drama at that moment so I paid and took my trailer. In the bright sun of the day everything looked good. When I got home and parked it in the shade I noticed that they re sprayed the rails black. Cool that looks good. But wait. There is over spray all over my brand new/sealed deck AND all over the license plate. Really guys. I don't mean to be whinny but that just took my good as new trailer and made it look like crap. For $1,300 one should expect a little more quality and not some half ass work. read more
