THE BEST COOKING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD . . . My wife loves cooking and is a big fan of Top Chef. For our 10th anniversary, I surprised my wife with a private meal cooked by Tre. Tre called me and we went over her likes and dislikes in order to build the four course menu. My wife has several severe food allergies and Tre easily worked about these and made sure there were no issues the night of the dinner. The process of setting the meal up and crafting the menu could not have been easier. The night of the surprise dinner, Tre showed up with all of his supplies and cooked right in our home. My wife was able to help prep the meal with him and learn how he did certain cooks or cook certain things. Once the meal started, Tre took over as both Chef and Storyteller. He entertained us with his stories from this fascinating career to cooking certain meals. The entire experience lasted around 4-5 hours but it flew by way too quickly. For our meal, we were treated to the following courses (no seafood because of my wife's allergies) - First Course - Because my wife cannot have sushi or sashimi, Tre did a spin on this and made a steak tataki. This set the meal off perfectly with an expectation of high end food full of flavor. The spice included in this dish would make any Texan excited. Second Course - Duck Breast - Hands down the best duck we have ever had. It was so tender and juicy and watching Tre prepare this course was a treat. I highly recommend this course for anyone that does a private meal. Third Course - Lamb Chops - Beautiful lamb chops with polenta and veggies. Perfect finish to the meal. The lamb was cooked perfectly but the side dishes made you go back for seconds (and thirds). Fourth Course - Olive Oil Cake - The dessert was light and fresh. A nice finish to an amazing meal. Overall, I would put this meal up with any experience you would have in a restaurant. The benefit of being able to experience it in the comfort of your home made it a great anniversary experience. The food was amazing but Tre's personality and ability to craft a special experience was just as good. By the end of the meal, you feel as though you have been friends with Tre for a long time. I setup an Offsite Team Building event for my team at J.P. Morgan Chase, located in Plano, TX. We had visiting employee from all over the globe. We Absolutely LOVED & ENJOYED The Entire Experience at Tre Wilcox's Cooking Concepts Venue. The site is beautiful, & was very clean. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, and they knew how to navigate to make sure our team felt welcomes, was creative in their own craft, had lots of fun, relaxed, and for the hours spent their not having to think about work, but enjoying co-workers company on a positive environment. Tre - himself was very professional, helpful, and patient during the entire time of helping me get things setup properly. He even customize the food depending on some employees food/dietary restrictions. We took amazing photos of the creative food that we prepared & competed in groups with our teams. Each team was judged based off of the creativeness, taste, etc. of the dishes made, with the same food items (for most) provided by the company... besides the ones with restricted food options. But the competition was fair and very competitive both ways. The winner's got a chance to win a Cooking Concept apron signed autographed by Tre Wilcox himself. They are really nice & great quality for only $25.00. I would HIGHLY recommend Tre Wilcox "Cooking Concepts" to any company or anyone looking to have fun for a Job/Organization team building or just for something creatively fun & different to do with your own family, friends, couples night, girls or a guys night out, etc. It's totally worth it!!!... This teambuilding with Tre's cooking concept and chopped competition was one of the best experiences and so much fun! Tre was very involved, going around and being present throughout the cooking but how present he was we learned when he was "grading" the meals and actually giving his perspective on people and their characters. I have to be honest; he did a really good job recognizing people and only seeing them first time how they cook. The whole event was very amusing, people were interacting, bringing the best of themselves and just spending some quality time together outside of work. I do not want to brag too much but my team won! We also enjoyed wonderful meal prepared by Tre and his team and one of the sentences that stayed in my mind was when Tre said that he is not their boss, they all work together as a team. Tre's Cooking Concepts is the perfect place for a team building staff event! We had an excellent time here! The facility was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and professional. We were randomly selected into teams of 4 and were given a basket of mystery ingredients. It was similar to an episode of Chopped, except in teams. We had 30 minutes to create two dishes, using 4 mandatory ingredients. We were not allowed to google or look up recipes on how to use any of the ingredients, which made it even more challenging. It was a fun hardworking event that made your team work together to create the perfect presentation. Tre was extremely helpful with good coaching tips and guidance on preparing our meals. After we made our two dishes, he went around trying everyone's meals and giving us feedback on each dish. Not only did he provide all the cooking supplies, but he also cooked us a fantastic meal right after. This place is extremely professional and knows how to bring people together. I held a surprise 25th anniversary celebration for my wife recently. I called Chef Tre to make that a wonderful experience to remember. He certainly made that happen with a very tasty menu and top professionalism that added to a fun celebration with our friends who ate 'with us' over Zoom. Chef Tre was prompt, prepared, and very accommodating to my family's tastes and preferences. We were served a 3-course meal that included Shrimp and Grits, Smoked Ribeye for us parents, Bacon-wrapped Chicken for the kids, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Asparagus, and Chocolate Chile Panna Cotta for dessert. The link that he provides at the beginning of the engagement was pretty near effortless for payments, agreements, menu, and questions. I didn't have any problems getting my questions answered up to serving day. I just really had a great time and so did my family which is really all that mattered to me. We did a team building event with Tre and it was a fantastic experience. Our goals going in were to have fun, build on relationships, and have a great time together. Mission accomplished in all areas. And on top of all that, the food that was served (not from our cooking challenge!) was outstanding. Tre and his team are awesome! We took a small group of Dallas Cowboy football players there for a night of cooking and eating. From learning knife skills to making sauces to learning how to tell if chicken is done with your finger, we all had a blast! Each team had their own chef helping and teaching. My four sons (17-24) and myself did a class with Tre. It was more than awesome! I talked with other chefs that have worked with Tre, Read about him and pulled the trigger! So Glad and so are my boys!! I was told of his friendly, affable demeanor, his unique laugh & of course his culinary skills!
