What a lovely place, atmosphere was so inviting, our sever Rocio was the best she remained very attentive to our needs and went over amazing foods and drinks suggestions scoring everytime. She was so friendly, kind and accommodating. It was prime time lunch time but we didnt have to wait around. Our dishes were outstanding i ordered the molcajete and it totally exceeded my expectations. Portions are generous. Every side is freshly made not canned not pre made; as well as the aguas frescas. My lemonade was refreshing and well made. Needless to mention their sauces....so yummy. Prices are reasonable. Used a restaurant.com coupon to try out this restaurant the first time. We were running late and came in 15 minutes before closing and mentioned that I had the certificate. They not only served us but stayed open late to allow us to comfortably eat. Did not feel rushed at all. The best part, the food! We are from the Chicago area and have many Thai restaurants to compare with and this place delivers! Figuratively and literally. There were 5 of us and we ordered 5 dishes. All were excellent, perfectly seasoned. We especially liked the yellow curry. I read reviews before going and would like to comment on the greasiness of the food. Well, anyone that eats authentic Thai knows, coconut milk will release oil as will real cream. Sorry folks, if you are looking for watery sauces and steamed bland vegetables, this is not the place for you. If, however, you like your food to use real fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and thick rich creamy sauces, this is the place. Atmosphere is very casual similar to many strip mall operations - almost cafeteria style seating, but food is worthy of the highest praise. We returned a few days later with an additional family member who heard our raves about this "hole in the wall." He agreed that this was the best food we ate during our 1 week and 20 meal stay in Southern California. Finally, prices. Extremely reasonable even without the certificate. This place was half of what we usually spend. Using the certificate we spent $21 and the second time without a certificate, an additional entree, plus desserts we spent $52. While hanging out in So Cal we were directed here by a friend. Everything was delicious, service was superb. We had the dishes regular and they were just the right amount of spicey. The Thai Boat noodles killed it and to top it off Tom and his family that own the place were super cool, Tom even sat down with us and helped us with ordering and suggestions from the menu. I recently tried Thai food for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of flavors and spices that were used in the dishes. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and helpful in recommending dishes that would suit my taste buds. The prices were also very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. This is my go to Thai restaurant whenever I'm craving pad thai or anything else. Everything is always fresh and scrumptious. I highly recommend the tofu pad thai (or any pad thai for that matter), yellow curry, or the crab fried rice. Their thai iced tea is also the best I've had anywhere.
