We eat here pretty frequently and always have a great experience! The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming--especially Palmy, who always takes great care of us. The Cajun seafood is excellent and, in our opinion, better than other similar places like The Kickin' Crab. What really sets their seafood apart is the basil leaves they add to the sauce. It gives everything an extra layer of flavor that makes it so good and keeps us coming back. They also have Thai food, which is a nice bonus when you want something other than seafood. Portions are good, prices are fair, and the food has been consistently delicious. Definitely one of our favorite spots for Cajun seafood! read more

Thus review from a take out perspective. Ordered a pound if crawfish and a pound of clams, extra sausages and potatoes, with mixed sauce in medium spicy. The sauce was delicious, offering a Thai inspired flavor to this classic viet cajun style meal. The added basil was a very fragrant addition. California crawfish season is just about to begin, but I don't know if the restaurant started using fresh live crawfish yet because the majority of the crawfish shells were soft and mushy, although thr meat was still good. Based on the sauce alone, I'd definitely try again in a month or two to see if the quality of the crawfish improves as we get deeper into crawfish season. The clams were hit and miss as some were great while others were handy. Generous amounts of sausages and potatoes were given for a good price. My wife and I were able to finish the add ons in one sitting. I'd give the restaurant and overall 3.5 right now, 5 for the sauce alone and a bit lower than a 3 for the seafood quality. We still enjoyed the meal, but quality could definitely be better. read more

This is our go to spot when it comes to seafood. Whenever we go there we feel welcomed and thankfully most of the time we get the same booth ;) I enjoy their seafood sauce to dip the food in (mmmm mmmm I sure can taste it right now !) I love seafood boils so I'm happy to finally try this restaurant for a seafood boil with a Thai twist! We got Combo #1 (first time price of $65.99) which was a great way for us to try a little bit of everything. Each combo came with a generous amount of potatoes, sausages and 2 corn on the cobs. The seafood was so fresh! I especially loved the crab legs which were sweet and meaty! Everything tasted amazing with the mix of Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper sauce and the sauce also had Thai flavors with the basil leaves. We got mild which was spicier than expected, but I enjoyed the kick. Overall, the food was delicious and I would come back to try their other combos and dishes. The servers were friendly and attentive as well - refilling our waters and getting us what we needed. Review 47/365 Day Challenge This is a long overdue review. We love coming here for a distinctive Louisiana style seafood boil. It's thai owned so it has a thai twist to it. Their sauce uses basil leaves so we love the herbal taste to it. Came here on Mother's Day for dinner and there was slight a half hour wait. The seafood seems fresh and good and the sauce isn't salty. Perfect sauce. They also offer limited thai food like Tom Yum soup and some fried rice. Service is great but they tend to be a bit slow taking our orders since limited server. Restaurant has some shark sea decor and fish net hanging from the ceiling. Only bummer part is they DO NOT SERVE FRESH OYSTERS here. Lots of parking available. Definitely recommend coming here. Even though it's a drive! It's so worth it! Never disappoints. read more

Ate dinner at this location on Friday evening. Its good Friday and all I am allowed to eat is Seafood. Arrived at 5pm, only 3 staff members were available. We waited for 15 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, our waitress asked if we wanted some waters to start out. That was nice and courteous of her to do that. When she came back with our waters, she asked if we wanted anything else. I replied, we are ready to order. Ordered some Wine, cocktails and 2lbs of shrimp bags along with noodles and a calamari plate. While we waited, I will complement the water. The water tastes fresh, does not taste like sink water. Received my wine, I was surprised it comes from a can and not a bottle. Even better, knowing I get the full wine quantity. Our food was served. Calamari was fresh! The plate also comes with some fries which I could care less, the 2lbs of shrimp was fantastic! The sauce that comes in the bag was off the hook. Noodles were good as well. Not complaints about the food. The service was ok. It is very difficult to understand what they are saying. This place is an Asian owned establishment. So I have to warn you. Overall, the ambience felt like an old school place. Red Lobsters in the 80s. The decor is displayed as a fisherman's wharf type of them. Bathrooms can use some work and cleaning. The food here is consistently delicious and freshly made! The seafood all mixed flavor with extra garlic is my go to and never disappoints. The shrimp already comes with a couple of potato pieces and you can add sausage or corn to your bag o' shrimp. Their fried baskets are always hot. I have never found their fries anywhere else; crispy with a unique light batter and seasoning. The service here is attentive; even when the place is busy, they try their best. LOVE this place! I started coming here in 2015/2016(?) with my parents and until this day my family, friends, and I always come here whenever we crave for seafood boil. When we come we get either Combo #2 or #5 with mussels and an extra pound of crawfish medium and "mix all" the sauces. We also get a side of Cajun fries and rice, and for some reason these are my favorite fries to get . Food always tastes fresh and high quality. We've dined in and ordered take out and no matter what the food always hits. When dining in, we always get the best service from the employees. Visited on a weekday for an early dinner. It was our first time so we ordered quite a bit of food to try. It was the day after Mother's Day so there was a special on their Lobster Combo (Combo 4). We also ordered Combo 1 with the Bangkok Spice-level, along with the Green Curry and the Clam Chowder. The Green Curry was thick and spicy, served with tender pieces of dark meat - it actually ended up being the highlight of my meal. While we both agree the quality of the seafood was average (especially for the price), I just want to commend the service. The staff were so attentive and customer-oriented. One of them even approached us after the meal to ask how we were feeling because they were concerned about the Bangkok Spice! We came here as a family of 4 with 2 toddlers to celebrate my brother's college graduation, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. To add context, we had arrived at Cerritos College around 3:30 PM for the graduation ceremony. It was supposed to start at 5 PM, but didn't actually begin until around 6 PM. We spent hours sitting outside directly under the sun, exhausted, hungry, and drained by the end of the night. We had packed snacks for the toddlers during the ceremony, but by dinner time they needed actual food. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told the wait would only be 20 minutes, but we didn't get seated until 8:34 PM. Our server didn't take our order closer to 8:50 PM. By then, we were informed that all the BBQ items on the menu were already sold out for the night, and anything fried was cooked in peanut oil -- which both of our toddlers are highly allergic to. At that point, it was already close to 9 PM and most nearby restaurants in the plaza were either closed, closing, or didn't have food toddlers could eat. I quickly checked Yelp and found a nearby sushi place where I was able to get plain fries and shrimp tempura for the kids while we waited for our meals. The moment I returned to the table with the food, the female server immediately approached us with a rude attitude saying, "You can't bring outside food here. You have to ask me. I'm the boss here," repeatedly. She came in unnecessarily hostile, argumentative, loud and disrespectful. We explained -- as she should already have known since she was the one taking our order -- that there was nothing safe on the menu for the toddlers to eat due to their peanut allergy and the restaurant being sold out of multiple items. We were simply trying to feed our children. Instead of showing understanding, she continued repeating, "you still need to ask, I'm the boss here." At that point we were honestly confused about what she wanted us to do -- throw the food away? Leave? We were simply trying to feed our children safely after an already long and exhausting day. She eventually said it was "okay if it's for the kids," and as long as the food were "small" but by then the damage was done. The attitude, tone, and lack of empathy completely ruined what was supposed to be a special family celebration. Honestly, if bringing food for our toddlers was going to be such a problem, we would have gladly left before ordering rather than be treated with disrespect. Our food had just arrived, but we had completely lost our appetite and decided to leave. There were definitely better ways she could have approached us about the outside food situation, but the way she handled it was not it. A simple, respectful conversation would have gone a long way. As someone who previously worked in the restaurant industry and as a family who always tips generously, this was the first time we genuinely did not feel inclined to tip. This is our FAV seafood boil spot! Nothing beats their sauce. It has a Thai twist with (I believe) Thai basil in their sauce (we always do: mix all above). I am always extremely full and satisfied after leaving here. We always start with a fried combo basket (fish, oysters, shrimp- all things fried)! The Cajun fries are delish!! Super crispy and flavorful! We always get: crab, shrimp, crawfish, and mussels in our boils (and usually add potatoes and corn). I will say, I'm not a fan of their sausage- the flavor is ok, but the texture is a bit weird for me. They also have Thai food, for those that aren't into the boils, or if you're like me and want some variety. I've only tried two things:: one yummy, one not as much. Pad see ew was yummy! The not so yummy was the Tom Kha Seafood soup- I wanted to like it, but it just seemed way too limey for me. First time coming in here. I heard of this place through family. Was here during Sunday evening football. They had a couple TVs that were playing the game. Plenty of seating a which were not even full. I think durning the time I was there, only 20 people were inside. I didn't try the seafood boil. I had the crab fried rice, chow mein, beef broccoli. I've been coming to nine seafood for a hot minute now. My friend put me on and we normally do the combo #2 with the snow crab, shrimp, and mussels with all the fixings (garlic, Cajun butter, and lemon pepper) at a medium spice level. The food is always incredible. Shrimp peels easily, sometimes I have trouble with the crab, but it's just a me thing. The service is always great. I normally show up and wait 2 minutes before being seated, but I also get here when it's not busy. The servers are always polite, attentive, and just on top of everything. The inside of the restaraunt is different. It's nautical themed, to be honest I never really noticed what was on the walls until I started writing this review and looked around. It's inviting, there's some fishing nets on the windows, some fish on the walls. Idk, they always play really good music, most times I've been here they have a reggae covers of popular songs. In short, good food, good service, good price. Would 100/10 recommend. I don't go to other seafood boil restaraunts after coming here. Will always give them my business. read more

It's okay at best. The food was mediocre. Went with a party of 14. They had us wait until everyone arrived even though there was only one table taken. The service lacks. We waived down the guy a few times and he always waits for the women to see what we needed. One of us ordered the Chowder and they said it tasted like the canned ones. The calamari I ordered were okay. But I didn't expect for it to come in a basket with fries.... There was actually more fries than the actual calamari. Overall, it's not entirely bad. As much as I want to gatekeep this place, I can't . I absolutely love this place. They go above and beyond for their customers. When you think you are just going to sing happy birthday to your family members, they come out with a huge backdrop and then some. We love how there is always a game on their tv screens and how they remember their customers.
