This was my first time coming here, and I wanted to try a new Mariscos spot. I regret it. I originally wanted camarones a la Diabla, which is not on the menu. Then I asked for camarones a la chucaracha but it doesn't come with rice is more like an appetizer didn't want that. So I just ended up getting the cocktail De camarones. A co worker of mine recommended this place so I took my siblings here for my brother's birthday. I was excited cause I am a big fan of mariscos, unfortunately there was nothing special about this place. We walked in and waited there was loud music playing and we didn't know we could sit down on our own until the waitress just yelled across at us to sit down. That there already made me feel a little off but I gave it a chance cause the food might be good. I ordered ceviche (fish) tacos de asada/shrimp and cheese , aguachiles, cocktail de Camarón and lastly shrimp. The only thing we all like was the tacos. Restaurant is a descent size and they have a parking lot and available parking in the street. Our waitress was very nice and on top of it. After placing our order food came out pretty quick but after reading on the hyped reviews on the food I was not impressed. The tostada de Jaiba did taste better than it looked but still lacked flavor along with the Ceviche de Pescado (tasted too fishy) Ceviche de Camaron was good. The Coctel de Camaron was better after adding ketchup in it which the server (not waitress) looked bothered when I asked for ketchup. I hate feeling like I insult ppls food when I have to add more S&P or anything to give it more flavor but if I'm the one paying for it. Anyway.... the coctel was ok. Taco de Marlin was a win. All in all I wasn't impressed but to each there own. If you're a seafood fan like I am I say give it a try. read more

Been a big fan of El Viejon since their original location was basically just a tent. The service here is always good. Food portions are always big. The tostadas they give beforehand with the mustard are great too! I really like this new location to take my brother to when he gets off of school. Callo de acha always fresh, aguachiles are delicious and the limonada mineral preparada (lemonade with mineral/club soda ice blended) just hits the spot! Always go for either the Maleficio (pictured the full dish don't mind my husbands half devoured Chalupa) or the Chalupa which is same except it also has pulpo (octopus), abulon, cucumber, and tomato Can't go wrong either one... if you love callo de acha like me, call ahead to make sure they have it so you don't get disappointed when you try to order and they're out (happens often but not often enough that would prevent me from coming, I just call first) read more

El viejon is the daddy of all mariscos restaurants. Best seafood in the game. They literally have someone drive to Baja every week to bring Marlin and scallops. True quality you can taste. Worth every penny . I highly recommend. My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid and now I come to this newer location it's slightly closer to me and still as good as ever. The best mariscos restaurant in Paramount, hands down. There's plenty of parking and seating inside, it's a chill place to stop by and get good food. The service is okay, they do get pretty busy so it's understandable why they might not be available the whole time. The only thing is, I wish they could have explained the sizing or portions better, when the person on the phone said "containers" I thought she meant the ones they use for regular "to-go" orders not the big aluminum foil trays. We couldn't finish one of the big trays; so much food! It was fairly inexpensive for the amount of food we were given. I just felt bad that it'd go to waste. The employees are always nice and kind, our order included tostadas, extra limes, salt and pepper packets, napkins, utensils, mayo,and new tapatío sauce bottles. I always order to-go. And the guy that helps me each time is the best server. He is always smiling and friendly. And very helpful. I ask for extras condiments and he always gives it with a smile. I'm a returning customer . I alway come here this is a spot me and my girl always come to after to a night out of drinking . I've never had an issue till today . I arrived and everything was going fine until they were taking longer than usual which was fine but when I got my tacos they were just plain cold , when I addressed it to to one of the girls that was our server she immediately took the plate without hesitation and not a word was said . I continued to wait and when she came back I noticed All they did was microwave my tacos which was a disappointment honestly , I then confronted them and told them if they can make me some new tacos , when they came back . Was invited here by my cousin. And let me say this place is one of the best mariscos places around. It's cash only they do have an ATM inside so be ready for that. The mayo has chilpten chile mixed in with it. It taste last so it throws every thing over the top. So good. Had the agua chiles so flavorful. Shrimp were cleaned and tender. Salsa was perfect with the right amount of heat. Taco el viejon was cooked over a fire so it had the nice char to it. Took it out of this world Camarones chuckle nice. Are butterflied and dipped in a sauce then cooked over fire. Served on a bed of rice. Can't even explain this taste. So good. Ceviche especial there is a sauce that comes with it on the side.
